I just made this recipe and it came out great!!! It's so simple. I don't even have to write the recipe down, I can remember it by heart!!!I looked at Gordon Ramsey's video to compare and decided your was easier and I had all the ingredients already, except the wine and parsley. I just added a little apple vinegar, fish sauce, and scallions instead. Eating and writing now. It's delicious! Even my mom likes it and she usually refuses to eat anything I cook the first time. Thank you!!! 👍💕💕

Wow thanks my friend as a matter of fact that is for dinner yummy delicious 😋👍🙏 and another recipe just adding to my list keep them coming my friend I just love Italian meals🙏 many blessings
Oh Man! I just had this at The Oyster bar here in Las vegas...(Sunset station casino)..It was so good!! Cool, Now I can make it for myself at home!! Thanks, clean and simple recipe, easy to follow video!!
This was truly delicious. Thank you. Wish that I could show a picture. I topped our steaks with noodles (twisted around my hand for presentation) with the shrimp and sauce on top. It was great! The only thing I will cut back on next time is the red pepper flakes as mine was just a little too overbearing to enjoy the other flavors this dish deserves. But hey, my fault as I never measure anything when I cook - LOL. Thank you again for sharing and helping in this meal.
I don't have a zester or whatever it is called to zest a lemon. I do have lemons for the juice though. Will the result be the same if I choose to not add lemon zest? If not I will totally get one
It won't ruin the dish if you don't use the zest but the zester is only a few dollars so I'd recommend getting one. And they are great for other applications too!
That is an All Clad Copper Core pan and the shape of the pan is called their Essential Pan. It is perfect for making sauces then adding in the pasta to finish in the sauce. It is top of the line but you can sometimes find 20% off sale on the pan at Williams Sonoma.
I don't think pasta can be considered a health food but if you want a healthier option you can use zucchini noodles in place of the pasta. I have a video for that version too.
@@SimplyElegantHomeCooking i wasnt doggin you, i just wonder why when i buy them the tails are still on the shrimp and in all restaurants the tails are left on? i made and enjoyed the dinner. yes i left the tails on and my wife laughed at me.
The dish was beautiful. Can I please make a suggestion though...when you are eating could you please turn your microphone off? The noise of you masticating on your meal is a bit off putting...but the recipe is brilliant and obviously a traditional one. For its simplicity and taste its worth 5 stars 🤌
Best tip folks, add your butter once the wine reduces a bit, whisk it to make an emulsion THEN add your pasta shrimp and some reserved pasta water. This looks really dry
Yea it is a personal taste. There is also salt in the pasta water so you can omit the extra salt if you feel it has got enough already from the butter.
Name is Eric. I don't show my face because it is kinda difficult to film already as a 1 man operation. It would be even harder to do with myself in the shot.
I've made this many times and not only is it elegant it is awesomley delicious! thanks Eric, Israel Perez viewing from Guatemala, C.A.😋👌👨🍳
I made it for my wife and she loved it so easy thank you
What a delightful way to prepare shrimp! Your blend of seasoning ingredients is a winner.
Thanks! I use a lot of red pepper flakes for my shrimp scampi (and most things that I cook)!

Yes! The oil itself becomes so flavorful and absorbs all those flavors!
It looks delicious
Thanks!
That looks delicious. And quick cooking once the shrimp is prepped. The lemon zest and juice will enhance the dish. I love shrimp!

fish sauce? You must be vietnamese or like viet food?
Hmm sounds good, maybe an Asian type of variation?

Some beautiful flavours there! a very nice Mediterranean dish indeed!
Yes! Shrimp scampi should be in every home cook's repertoire!

Definitely one of my favorite dishes. We make a ton at the restaurant and I make it often at home.

@@SimplyElegantHomeCooking yes very enjoy
Great recipe 👌.
I don't consume alcohol, what can I replace it with?
Just a little extra lemon juice will work well in place of the wine.
@@SimplyElegantHomeCooking ok. Great, thanks 😊
Wow! So simple! Am going to try this for sure! But I like my pasta to be a bit cheesy. Would adding cheese spoil this?
Hmm I think if you added some Parmigiano Reggiano at the end it would work well!
@@SimplyElegantHomeCooking Cheers!
Looks so good 👌👍
I made this without the pasta noodles to save carbs. Just great!!!
Ah yea, jist the shrimp and lemon butter sauce can be a stand alone meal!
One of my fav dish ;) simple and easy to make but its so flavorful ;)
Yea this one is super simple, but satisfying!
looks amazing... what can i use to replace the wine?
Chicken or seafood stock would work well.
@@SimplyElegantHomeCooking thank you :)
Looks so good! Great video!
Thank you for the recipe. Why keep the shells on the tails? I would take those off, so I wouldn’t have to touch them when I eat the pasta
Oh man. This looks so good 😋
Thanks, Lasse! it is good but super simple!
Nice and delicious recipe video, stay connected.
WHAT A DELICIOUS PLATE OF FOOD MAKES ME HUNGRY THANK YOU HAPPY MEALTIME
Really nice video bud
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed!
Did you add pasta water?
Was your noodles salty? I've never used that much.
They were...you can certainly use less salt than I did.

I'm impressed

Thank God! Someone who actually knows how to salt pasta water.
Oh yes! You want it like the ocean, very salty!
Looks DELICIOUS I will make this tomorrow. I don’t have dry white wine, it’s more on the sweeter side YELLOWTAIL hopes that’s ok?
Yellowtail will work for this.
Dude! The salt in the pasta water!!!! Holy Moses.......that's a lotta salt 😮😮😮 the rest of the recipe looks amazing 😋
Could you use frozen cooked shrimp
Frozen is fine but I would recommend starting with raw shrimp for best results.
I need that stainless steel sauce pan! 😪 what brand is it?
That is an All Clad Copper Core pan and the shape of the pan is called their Essential Pan. It is perfect for making sauces then adding in the pasta to finish in the sauce. It is top of the line but you can sometimes find 20% off sale on the pan at Williams Sonoma.
@@SimplyElegantHomeCooking thanks for the info and thanks for responding.
Can I use cooked frozen shrimp
Yes it would still work, just might need to adjust the cooking time a bit.
This looks excellent!! 😋 Great video!!
I make mine with arugula, cherry tomatoes and parmesan and it’s equally as good as this recipe of yours. Thanks for sharing! 😊
That sounds great, actually! I might give it a try myself!
Was that half of the package of salt you used in the pasta water...... because my eyes opened wide in shock 😮
Super healthy??
I don't think pasta can be considered a health food but if you want a healthier option you can use zucchini noodles in place of the pasta. I have a video for that version too.
I add muscles to mine to intensify the flavor.
Oh yes that would definitely go well too. I have been thinking about putting out a seafood pasta using muscles.
This is fantastic!!
Can you do a nachos recipe please?
Oh wow believe it or not I've never made my own nachos! I will have to research that and get back with you!
Looks great, but somehow I know it may not end up being that easy, I'll have to try it.
why leave the tails on the shrimp? i never understood this.
Some find it to look nice but yea it is kind of a pain to eat them, I don't know why I did it!
@@SimplyElegantHomeCooking i wasnt doggin you, i just wonder why when i buy them the tails are still on the shrimp and in all restaurants the tails are left on? i made and enjoyed the dinner. yes i left the tails on and my wife laughed at me.
why wait till the pasta and shrimp are in to add the butter?
It helps to emulsify the sauce into a creamy consistency
How many people does this serve ?
I'd say 4 people could eat well but you can always cut the recipe in half or double it too.
Would sweet wine ruin it? Or maybe a little bit of sweetness is tolerable for this one..?
Hmm it probably wouldn't ruin it since it just adds a subtle flavor but I think I prefer the dry Italian white wines.
Mmm que rico!
Really simple and right to the point. Although, that was actually an insane amount of salt 🙈🙈🙈 but overall, great video
Haha yes you can definitely cut back on the salt!
Dude slurping down that shrimp sounds like a dirty movie
Lol maybe you should get your mind out of the gutter!
Well it sounded to me like a hog slopping his food. Grosses me out to hear people eat like that. Ruins the recipe as well.
It was pretty bad! 😂😂
I can hear you tasting it........ 🙃 you made it sound good
Thanks! It was delicious!
What can I use instead of shrimp ? Vegetarian option ?
Hmm, perhaps a mixture of vegetables like cherry tomatoes along with any green vegetable.
You can use your tongs while you're cooking too.
Thanks, sometimes I forget the simple things when filming.
Be sure to add some pasta water to help emulsify the sauce!
There was some water since i didn't rinse or even drain the pasta but yea...it's very important!
The dish was beautiful. Can I please make a suggestion though...when you are eating could you please turn your microphone off? The noise of you masticating on your meal is a bit off putting...but the recipe is brilliant and obviously a traditional one. For its simplicity and taste its worth 5 stars 🤌
Lol yea I’ve heard about the eating sounds a time or two, believe me! Thanks for watching and glad you liked the recipe.
We’re is the recipe?? How much butter, how much parsley???
❤
yummmm E
Thanks!
Mine turns out failed because I didn’t drain the pasta right and it’s too watery
Don't be afraid to let it thicken in the pot once you combine the sauce with the pasta. That is how I remedy when it looks a little watery.
Like👍👍👍💝
Glad you enjoyed!
Best tip folks, add your butter once the wine reduces a bit, whisk it to make an emulsion THEN add your pasta shrimp and some reserved pasta water. This looks really dry
Hmm I think it makes for a creamier texture when added later but that method also does work well too.
I don't add salt because the butter is salted
Yea it is a personal taste. There is also salt in the pasta water so you can omit the extra salt if you feel it has got enough already from the butter.
I woulda took off the tails.. I’d hate for a guest to feel messy if they had to take the tails off
Yes the shrimp tails are pretty but they get in the way I agree with you.
You let the pasta sit and wait for the sauce???😮
Lmao this guy put in a whole salt mine into the boiling water
Lolol yes it got away from me there a bit but you want it very salty!
I think it needs butter sauce. Looks really dry. If you are adding butter go full in.
There was plenty of butter in there, I just add it at the end so that it emulsifies.
how about putting some cheese on that spaghetti , i'm sure it would taste better
You can definitely do that but some people really don't like mixing cheese with seafood.
Damn that amount of salt with the pasta
Yea it kinda got away from me there you can definitely use less salt.
Those are the skinniest shrimp I've ever seen!
Hmm it might have just been the camera angle or something, they were large shrimp according to the seafood counter.
Italian parsley... Come on... 😅
For my gusto to much oil and butter
You can definitely use less, I hear ya!
I like your recipe.but what your name and why don't you show your face.Did you make this at work or home?
