    VIDEO DESCRIPTION
    Triumph Tiger Sports 660's main rivals are the Kawasaki Versys 650, the Suzuki V-strom 650, Yamaha Tracer 700 and the Honda NC750X. In this video, I compare the Triumph Tiger Sport 660 with it’s competition on looks, exhaust note, aftermarket exhaust sounds, comfort, performance, engine specifications and power, rider aids and Tiger sport 660 price in USA, UK, India and Australia!
    Since the Triumph Tiger Sport 660 is a Tourer, I have also compared the fuel efficiency and range to showcase which of the 5 bikes can take you the longest distance before needing a fuel stop. The Suzuki Versys 650 is actually the one with the longest range, Tiger 660 is the best looking and also has the best looks, sound and rider aids. The Tiger 660 price is also very competitive for a highly premium motorcycle with differentiating features.
    The only feature that the Tiger 660 lacks is a cruise control which would have been a very useful feature for long distance touring.

    I've had two VStrom DL1000 motorcycles over the last 12 years.
    You can't wear them out, I just bought a new one because I caught a year end closeout deal that was too good to pass up.
    My old one ran better the day I sold it than the day I bought it.
    Very reliable motorcycle.
    My first one was a 2009, my new one is a 2019.

    I bought a V-strom 4 years ago and I’m not tempted to change it with any of these other bikes. 16k miles no problems at all 75mpg. Yes I’m not keen on the front but you can’t see that when you’re riding it. Best feature is the engine and reliability. I’ll be keeping mine. Doesn’t hurt that I have a great dealership in my locality.

      That's fair. Suzuki's approach tends to be, why fix it, if it's not broken.

      That's better than what I'm working with mpg wise. The 2022 versys was rated at 70mpg but it's more like 58 to 60 and that's keeping it 3k or lower rpm avg...

    I really like the style of this video, you spent a lot of time with the exhaust notes, but you did it extremely well and it really did make a difference. Looks and sound are important on a motorcycle, even if they sound trivial to some.

    Thank you for the detailed comparison! I considered the NC750x and the Versys when I got my VStrom (the T700 is not available here). My wife chose the VStrom as soon as she tried the pillion seat. The Tiger is tempting, but what scares me away from it and other "premium" brands is the cost of maintenance/parts. The Trident is supposed to have been designed to cost less to maintain; I hope the Tiger 660 achieves that too. Then if it passes the wife test, it will be unbeatable for me!

    Great video, love it, so I suscribed. My opinion:
    *Looks,I know its subjective..but:
    1. Yamaha Tracer
    2.Triumph Tiger
    3. Suzuki V Strom
    4. Honda NC
    5. Kawasaki Versys
    *Engine:
    1. Triumph, sporty and smooth
    2. Suzuki,linear and reliable.
    3. Yamaha, sporty
    4. Kawasaki, reliable
    5. Honda, high torque, low hps.
    * Aids/ electronics:
    1. Tiger
    2. NC
    3. Vstrom
    4.Versys
    5. Tracer
    * Value:
    1. Tiger
    2. Vstrom
    3. NC
    4. Tracer
    5. Versys
    *Reliability:
    1. Suzuki, Kawasaki, Honda,Yamaha
    5. Triumph
    Overall I think it depends of your taste and riding style, you want power and electronics the Tiger wins hands down, you want a sporty and light tourer then the Tracer wins, want something confortable and all around the Honda wins with that DCT, you want a good overall tourer then the Versys, you want an all rounder tourer with a bulletproof engine and capable of mild off road then the Vstrom.
    The only thing missing for the Tiger was the cruise control.
    Lets see Suzuki's answer for the next 650 Vstrom Gen.
    My final take: The Vstrom.

    I got the 2022 versys 650 as my first streetbike but iv raced dirtbikes for as long as I can remember. I'd love to ride others but as far as I can tell the versys doesn't have any problems with it. I'd prefer a more fun bike like a super sport or something super peppy like a KTM Duke or yamaha mt series bike but as for comfort with all around reliability the versys has all the boxes checked at a decent price.

    Nice video, Rider XP. Very thorough and detailed. I ride a V-Strom 650 myself, it's a solid and reliable tourer, never disappointed me. I've tried the Tracer too, awesome bike, but a bit more expensive in Germany. The Versys is probably the closest to the V-Strom. suzuki is the only one that will give any comfort if you plan to do any offroad, but on the good quality roads I guess it is about the look, reliability, aspect of fun vs. comfort, high way traveling vs. cornering stability, and people will be ranking them according to their preferences.

    Yo Rider XP! This video is probably the best comparison video I've seen for this class of bikes. Thank you! I have a VStrom 650 and I'm having a blast on it! I traded away an FJR1300 for it and I love that it's 180lbs lighter and thankful that it has 1/2 the HP! I believe it'd be a very good 1st bike for anyone because it has a very tame character, yet in the hands of an experienced biker it can still get up a go quite well. It can cruise at 80mph all day long. The seat is very comfortable, too, enabling high mileage days without too much monkey butt.

    NC750X - actual fuel consumption is 56 to 58MPG with a top case and very tall aftermarket windshield and the only engine that is basically vibration free at all rpms but you give up power as it is adequate but the least powerful of the bunch. Versys is very very buzzy and the triumph should be the smoothest with 3 cylinder but it's not. SV650 is also very smooth and tried and true engine.

    • @carrlee22
      @carrlee22 ปีที่แล้ว

      My Versys 650 is certainly not buzzy at all. Perhaps you are confusing the 2015+ models with the older version. Kawasaki did a lot of work with vibration reduction on the newest version.

    Looks: Versys, Tiger, Vstrom, Tracer, Nc750x...Sound Versys and Tiger tied for first, Tracer then whatever after that...As far as weight, I disagree that the weight doesn't matter on the go. Here on the US highways, there are a lot of Semi-tractor trailers that create a LOT of wind, passing or being passed, and the extra weight is noticeably helpful. Now, I don't know about the fuel consumption of the other bikes in the real world, but I DO know that my Versys gets 55mpg. That's 302 miles on a tank (YMMV). The Triumph Tiger Sports 660 is a beautiful machine, but I'll stick with my Versys. Truly outstanding review (Once again, and as usual). Thanks, and keep up the great work!!

    • @RiderXp
      @RiderXp  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for such thorough comment and appreciation. About the weight, I was suggesting that a heavier bike isn't a disadvantage on the go. So yeah, you've highlighted a great point that on US highways, it's actually quite an advantage.

    So much information in a short amount of time! Excellent presentation. When comparing, make sure to label every bike with the name and spec. I was looking at all the bikes getting weighed in a very fast display. I am unable to compare the weight to the first couple of bikes previously weighed. The weights are not labeled next to the bikes. Conversely, in the distance test you have the bikes and spec without the titles, I am trying to figure out which bike is which. I haven't owned or ridden any of these bikes and recognition will not be mastered in 15 minutes. The exhaust was a nice touch, but should have been for another video, maybe just presented stock and used the extra minute to slow down the tempo of the video. A lot of work went in the video (looks terrific) and the speaker is clear and speaks well. Great information, Just feels very rushed. Thank you.
