Yes you also need guidance to be a good person unfortunately all those institutions parents, schools, teachers, christianity, society etc have failed, infact they teach you 'do as thou wilt' which is an occultic phrase so people are looking at alternative ways of lifes that work.

Since there aren’t really that many good comments here, let me
    Leave one. Welcome to Islam!
To all the people hating on a religion they know nothing about I hope you can take the time to learn what this religion truly preaches and not what you’ve heard about it.. Islam is a religion that prohibits the consumption of alcohol/ pork. So Islam has very much provided a foundation for a better lifestyle.. which she has adopted. It takes serious guts to leave behind a life like this.. and she’s at peace because of it. What an inspiring story! (No disrespect to anyone with my comment)

Ignorance and negative comments from the uneducated and small minded individuals. People find peace and security their own way. Islam is about peace, hence why it’s the fastest growing religion. The small group of people who choose to interpret religion in their own way to harm others should not be represented for the majority of any religion. Good and bad in all religions.

There are multiple stories of people who have called on their god and their life has changed for the better. Christians say this, Mormons say this, Scientologists say this, Buddhists say this, your experience is not unique to the god you believe in. The one thing each of these stories of life-changing experiences have in common is not the same god, but it's that they've all had COMMUNITY SUPPORT. It's not surprising that when a collective gets together to assist other's in that collective, humans tend to thrive better. So perhaps it wasn't your god who changed you, but your belief in a god which other humans who helped you shared in that belief.

So British culture and Christianity just mean getting drunk and this is the best alternative. It's not exactly challenging journalism, more like a free advert for the Muslim Brotherhood. This is more than a little offensive to the majority of BBC license payers.

    • @jj-bv3ui

@@jj-bv3ui Yes, I know of two guys my age who died of alcohol abuse in their 40s, so I can't deny that it's an issue. For most people though, it's something that they grow out of or keep well under control. It's misleading to suggest that all we do is drink and lead disorderly lives.

Same! I went to Bible college, qualified for ordination and was married to a pastor (therefore, pastor's wife). My mental health was terrible, and I felt desperately trapped in an abusive marriage.
I'm now much healthier mentally, although I haven't yet managed to completely throw off the chains of Christian dogma. For me, this has looked like not dating or remarrying. Now, at least, I realize it's highly unlikely I will ever marry again, but by choice.
I would love to hear your story and see one like you and I have represented here.

@@summerdais325 I don’t want to get too detailed but it essentially gave me a level I’m mental peace/serenity. It was a constant battle in my mind between wanting to live how I want and having the fear of “hell” hanging over me. That’s was the only thing chaining me down because outside it I didn’t even like that he Christian god, hes literally someone who commits mass genocide and instruct armies to wipe out countries and “take their wives”. You’re supposed to “love” god in Christianity and I don’t even like him nevermind love him. So once I got over that fear and realized it’s all bullshit my sanity has never been so assured.
