Peterson is so close to God. My wife thought he was a Christian because of his biblical lectures haha. Then seeing him cry just talking about Jesus in another video is crazy. I think his daughter becoming a Christian is going to help him so much. In an interview she mentions these intense coincidences that she couldn’t ignore and she said her father is very interested in that so, hopefully he will know Christ very soon

How refreshing to listen to a conversation that doesn’t include shouting, talking over one another, cussing, double entendres or any political figures.
Deep, rational conversations on topics that cause one to stop and actually think. The speakers also bring one to a whole new level of understanding.

You could also say that finally we have a conversation where people aren't trying to just be nice and will actually get to the point without beating around the bush. The problem with many Christians today is they don't understand that niceness isn't Christian, truth is Christian. Real Christian love involves correcting mistakes and speaking bluntly and honestly. A nice conversation means nothing if nothing of substance was said

He faces ideologies at school that directly attack his beliefs and he stands firm even without the answers, after watching a few of your videos he has been able to make the connections and question teachers as they question him. Wow man I love you and your channel. I had a wild awakening from the Holy Spirit the last week, after an even more wild visual physical and mental experience. Truly terrifying and more real than any reality I’ve experienced. So led me to TH-cam naturally.. lol… some videos I was watching eventually led me to your channel. And after some intense convictions from the Holy Spirit. A Billy Graham sermon eventually led to another one of your videos that had me re-dedicate my life to Christ. Things got to true and real, there was no denying Christ. I was lost but now I have been found. I have been a Christian for many many years I was saved at an early age and baptized by my grandad a baptist preacher at 13 when I felt ready. I was raised in the church went to Christian school all my life. Went to church all my life. But whatever happened to me this last week was something different. I had gone astray and been deceived by may false teachings and the Holy Spirit brought me back and pierced my heart with the truth of his word and Christ resurrection.
I’m on my way to watching all your videos now and I’ve been loving your content so much. It was just what I needed for everything to make sense and you speaking at the end is sometimes the best part tying everything together.
So reason I’m commenting here is because that Jordan Peterson portion brought me to tears and was one of the things that truly solidified my understanding of the logos (the word) becoming flesh and dying for our sins so we may have salvation. Absolutely beautiful. Jordan Peterson makes so much sense to me on a deep level when speaking, So that natural and psychological explanation of what Christ is and did absolutely brought me too my knees. Wow… just wow.
Being deceived by new age teachings, psychedelics, every other false religion and all the rest of it. It’s crazy trying to seek truth and always be exhausted because you are never satisfied and can’t find the truth.
If you’re a real truth seeker and you keep seeking you always end up finding Jesus he’s there waiting and revealing himself to you. Salvation in Christ is the only thing that can save us from our sinful ways. The search was exhaustive. But I’ve finally found true peace and I have more faith than I ever thought possible. Hallelujah
Time to spread the good word with all of my friends that have fallen into the same deception as I had. I guarantee your videos will bring some of my friends to Christ. You are amazing.

Thanks for the video. I have seen this emotional scene many times in his original video on God and awe. As a Christian, I am brought to tears regularly when I walk the beach or go out doing my wildlife photography. The world is far to complex not to have the hand of the creator over it all.
I think Peterson’s issue is due to his intellect. He has a hard time with faith due to his scientific background and duty (one way to put it) in treating the world rational first. He also had negative experiences in church as a child but I think he is closer than he has ever been to fully believing Christ is our Lord and savior. Especially with his wife being a strong catholic.
For myself, Although life can be difficult, God has blessed me and my family continually and I pray every day for inner peace and for answers to the unknowns that lay before me. I just discovered John and I really like what he had to say and I think it’s helping guide Peterson towards a stronger faith.

Yeah I'm hearing you. Nature just blows me away. I'm a builder. It amazes me now matter how hard we try to make buildings beautiful, that in the end, now matter how majestic the building and contents are, people will like it, hate it or be neutral. But I have never seen a human being respond in a negative way to the beauty of nature. We all stand as one and in awe of the beauty of nature. God is so superior in his designs that we could ever be. In regards to Kevin Peterson, I think CS Lewis puts it well. Humans are either daily drawing closer to God or moving further away from God ( and this includes clergy). Jesus said that on the day of judgement there will be many surprises. Those who are in and those who are not.

When Jordan Peterson started talking about Christ being the union of an actual person and a myth, he said it was plausible, that it was too terrifying, Psalm 139:6 came to my mind. “Such knowledge is too wonderful for me. It is high. I cannot attain it.”
In the Hebrew alphabet, the ALEPH is the image of God’s hand reaching down and mans’ hand reaching up with a dividing line between. It is our sin that divides us from God. Jesus’ death bridged that gap between God and man.

This idea of the narrative (ideological, ethical, creative) and the objective (physical, natural, observable, creation) converging in Christ to fully reveal God in a comprehensible way for humanity to grasp is mind-blowing. Also, this understanding of the intelligibility of the universe and humanity, whether it be mathematical concepts or the genetic code, reinforce John’s idea that “in the beginning was the Word”.

@@wandertree The concept of salvation, understood as deliverance or redemption from sin or harm, is present in various religious traditions that predate Christianity. Many ancient religions had beliefs and practices related to the afterlife, spiritual purification, and the attainment of a favorable fate. Here are a few examples:
Ancient Egyptian Religion: In ancient Egypt, the belief in an afterlife was fundamental. The deceased were often buried with texts, such as the Pyramid Texts or the Book of the Dead, containing spells and instructions to guide them through the afterlife and ensure a positive outcome.
Greek Mystery Religions: Mystery religions in ancient Greece, such as the Eleusinian Mysteries, promised initiates a more favorable afterlife or spiritual enlightenment. Participation in these secret rites was believed to bring about a closer connection to the divine and a better fate in the next life.
Zoroastrianism: Zoroastrianism, one of the world's oldest monotheistic religions, includes the concept of salvation in its teachings. Zoroastrians believe in the judgment of souls after death, with the righteous being rewarded with eternal bliss in the presence of Ahura Mazda, the supreme deity.
Hinduism: Hinduism encompasses a wide range of beliefs and practices, but the concept of moksha is central to many traditions. Moksha represents liberation from the cycle of reincarnation and union with the divine, achieving a state of eternal bliss.
Mystery Cults in the Greco-Roman World: Various mystery cults in the Greco-Roman world, such as the cult of Isis and the cult of Mithras, offered initiates the promise of spiritual salvation or a favorable afterlife through their rituals and mysteries.
These examples illustrate that the idea of salvation or a positive outcome in the afterlife is not unique to Christianity. Different cultures and religious traditions have explored ways to address the human quest for spiritual fulfillment and a favorable destiny beyond the earthly existence. You only know what you have been TOLD, and are therefore limited.

This is my concern. JP needs Jesus, not the other way around. My fear is JP is being seen as a man with so many wonderful qualities, if only he were a Christian...well Jesus is seeking those who see how utterly helpless they are, see the vanity and futility of all their excellence and the inevitability of their judgment by a Righteous God and thus being enlightened cry out for a saviour they desperately need. JP is not there yet, he is still comfortable...May God open his eyes and help him see.

It's incredible to witness Peterson's exploration of spirituality and the impact it has on his intellectual perspective. Lennox's wisdom is like a guiding light, illuminating the path to profound truths.
Peterson's emotions and intellectual struggles, especially regarding faith, add such a human touch to the discussion. It's a testament to the complexity of the human mind and the continuous search for deeper meaning. 🌌
Hoping that this exploration brings not only intellectual clarity but also a profound sense of peace to both Peterson and those who resonate with his journey. 🙏 The unfolding of spiritual discovery is a beautiful process, and this conversation is a testament to that. Fantastic conversation between two of the finest thinkers of this generation...Jordan Peterson although not a professing believer in Christ, is so honest and very down to earth in nature... Honesty and humility is all that God looks for in a person to reveal himself. Seems like he is just so near to God or God is so near to reveal himself to him... I remember he remarked in an interview that he is so thankful that he is in a position to help so many people in this world and be a positive influence in their life with his social status... The way he acknowledges what has been entrusted to him, without taking it for granted, the way he looks at things carefully without taking anything for granted are truly, the marks of a humble person... But I have to say it's a bit tough to follow and comprehend Jordan Peterson to the full with the sophisticated vocabulary that he possesses... But John Lennox although he is a Mathematician, is quite easy to follow, full of wisdom and grace. I just love hearing him.

I appreciate these videos. One thing that is interesting to me is that there is a lot of focus on the logos (often referred to as the written word when translating), but no conversation about rhema (which is often referred to as the living Word). In a sense (and I'm aware that I'm oversimplifying it), to experience logos is to read the written word and mentally agree with it. Experiencing rhema is to have that written Word come to life by hearing it spoken to your heart.
One scripture I like to use to support this point is Romans 10:17 - which translated from the Greek in the strongest tense reads like this:
"I conclude without a doubt that faith originates (is birthed out of) hearing and hearing (the revelation of) the spoken Word (rhema) of God."

I don’t think relegating “logos” to “written word” is accurate. Philosophically, “Logos” represents the idea of order and intelligibility behind all existence - hand in hand with Telos. When the gospel of John uses Logos, I think he’s appropriating the Greek understanding of Logos (this order and intelligibility underlying the universe, which gives it Telos) and is saying “that Logos is Jesus.” Then goes on to show that the universe doesn’t have some non-personal force of order behind it, but the order behind it is because of the work of our personal God.

" This a quote from Saint Augustine that explains why we will never be able to prove without a shadow of a doubt the existence of God and that is on purpose of course God wants you to have faith because that reveals humility and a willingness to put all of our trust and life in His hands. But even tho we don´t have 100% evidence, we have some evidence that is still pretty good, like the complexety of our minds, bodies and cells wich was talked about in a great video on this channel were John Lennox and two other cientists talk about how the theory of evolution doesn´t work with this much complexety which is something even Darwin said, the complexety of the universe and of the immutable laws that govern it wich are pretty much perfect and were created at the same time as the rest of the universe because without them the universe couldn´t function for one second, the idea that the universe comes from a singularity also points to a creator because everything came from the same point and because matter can´t create itself it had to have been created by something that precedes our own universe, and more I don´t remeber right now but i would advise you to watch more of this channel content and of the scientists and theologists that are respresented in those videos because of course they would do a much better job of explaining all of the points I have talked about. Do you know all that's taking place in Jordan's life? Do you recognize the people he's been, and being brought into contact with? Do you know how few people get something like that?

@@nitsujism I think they're hemorrhaging away from churchianity and organized religion more than anything else. If Christ is truly lifted up, he will draw people to him, but that requires people truly committed to Christ the person, not religion.

I’ve always contended that a super “moral” agnostic makes a much better Christian than most Christian’s 😳 Jordan knows… he just needs to let himself know publicly. God is so amazing, our minds will be blown when we truly realize the perfection in this universe devolving right b4 our eyes. He's close but he needs to get clear on who Jesus Christ is. Simply believing in God doesn't make a person born again. Jews believe in God but not as Jesus as their Messiah and Savior. People have to understand and accept Jesus' substitutionary work on the cross for their sins and I don't think JBP is quite there yet. I think his formidable intellect might actually be getting in the way of that childlike leap of faith.

Jordan Petersen is firmly locked in the left hemisphere of the brain where logical thinking is supreme. He is trying his darndest to awaken the right hemisphere where creativity and emotions are more engaged. I went through this this year. The way I was raised didnt allow for the development of having and feeling & emotions. Happy feelings were seen as satirical because there was no natural thought connection between my hemispheres and the left logical hemisphere dominated my reality. Kudos to Jordan for becoming whole. Because of his innate logical mindset once he awakens his emotions and creativity and emulsifies that by connecting his thought process through the corpus callosum he will be a force to reckon with.

Jesus's acts do not save you. They provide you a means to act. If you do not act in Jesus's way, then you can not be saved, nor will you be. JBP is no where near being beautiful. :)

Maybe because Catholics worship idols, they don't go under water baptism as per Jesus' example, they do not preach the gospel, they pray to Mary who is dead (praying to the dead is necromancy) they participate in a lot of known pagan rituals. I used to be catholic and attended catholic school in my childhood. 🤷‍♀️

@MuhWasFalsePrpht - God Bless You! There is only ONE Jesus Christ, but many varieties who speak about Him, and through history, many have misinterpreted, misrepresented, misguided, distracted from, exploited, etc, and that is so on both sides of the Catholic/Protestant divide; and the converse, there are some on both sides that are on track.
