Many people have been "lost" as Christians, that's because they're either not practicing, don't care, or don't understand, which then, you can't really be called a Christian if you don't even put in any effort.

I too was exactly like this man in the video and it took a few years for me to gradually come around. Reading C.S. Lewis "mere christianity"" was a good start where he talks about the innate moral values we have that evolution can not explain. What I found is that you have to open yourself to it. This man opened himself to it, he was curious. I believe if you do this, he will come into your heart but you can't be the one saying "show me proof!" Jesus is not a magic god that will appear to you in some apparition even if you want it so.

I used to be just like you and all other Christian’s on here; completely blind and believed anything the Bible said. I don't like the word "surrender" since it implies giving up who we are. God has made it so our choices are still our own while we are here and doors are made available that we can walk through if we want. Jesus would want us to spread the word of God and live a truly selfless life... not just physically but it needs to be reflected in our thoughts because that's what we bring with us after death. Once we die there can be no lies and our thoughts are available to any soul that wishes to communicate, that's why practicing while we are here is so important.

The ancient hebrew word for ascend/rise above, as in: "I will ascend my throne above the stars of God"? עָלָה. Pronounced phonetically as 'alah.' Islam denies the deity of Christ and the events of His death and resurrection, upon which the salvation of all believers hinges. The prophecies of the islamic messiah figure, the 'mahdi' or 'twelfth imam,' match perfectly with the prophecies of the book of Revelation, except they describe the Antichrist, the 'Beast' of Revelation who will set up a false system and require all bend the knee or be beheaded, the favored method of execution for muslims. Just as the Beast will in Revelation, the 'mahdi' is predicted to establish seven years of peace with Israel, then betray them at the 3.5 year mark and begin persecuting them, among many other matching prophecies. What are one of the activities that the followers of the Beast do after the two witnesses of Revelation are murdered? They exchange gifts, a popular form of celebration among muslims when enemies of islam die or are killed. Who will accompany the 'mahdi' and assist him? Why the prophet Jesus of course, and he will 'break the cross' and convert all those foolish Christians to Islam. "And behold, I saw another Beast rise from the earth. It had two horns *like a LAMB* but spoke like a dragon." Jesus is frequently referred to as the Lamb of God. The Jesus of islamic prophecy who comes to aid the 'mahdi' is the False Prophet of Revelation.
Islam is not ok. Even more than any other false religion islam is Satan's most insidious counterfeit. He uses prophecies he knows will come to pass but twists them so that when they do come to pass he will be able to deceive most of the world. He did the same when trying to tempt Jesus, using passages of scripture out of context and with twisted interpretations to try and tempt the Savior into sin. If you are trapped in this religion, get out. If you are complacent regarding it, stop. To all who read this, repent of your sins and turn to Jesus Christ. Place your trust in Him and He will save you from eternal separation from God. Like every other religion, islam preaches a works based salvation. Jesus taught us that He is the only way, that only His finished work on the cross can save us. 'He who has ears, let him hear!' as Jesus said. Please, I beg you, consider this all very carefully. The decision to reject or accept Jesus Christ as you only hope for salvation is the single most important decision you can possibly make. "It is appointed unto man to die once, and then to judgement." If you feel the conviction of the Holy Spirit when you read these words then God is trying to reach you, but in the end the choice is yours. We will either say to Him: "Your will be done." or He will say to us: "Your will be done." I love you. I hope to meet you in God's kingdom someday.

@@jerrylong6238 Answers to Some Questions Individuals May Have
      1) Why would God need blood sacrifices as an answer for sins which he already knew would happen?
Answer: As God knows the end from the beginning The Son was going to come down and become a man born from a VIRGIN woman that would be implanted with the SEED from THE HOLY GHOST.
When Jesus Christ was born - not only was he born for the sake of the Adam race, but as an answer to the Angels - especially the Fallen Angels.
The idea of 'sacrifice' and 'sacrifices' are not just animals getting slaughtered, but when the individual would cause the animal to be slaughtered - it would be felt by the one allowing his beast to be sacrificed. The beast is slaughtered, and the one who is having his beast sacrificed feels the 'pain' of 'sacrificing' one of his best beasts. It comes with a price to the one doing the sacrifice.
When the people would sacrifice to God they were to put their heart into it. And there were/are many different sacrifices that were done.
So God knew beforehand that man would sin; and he knew that there would be Fallen Angels as well. With the sacrifices, the innocent beasts that were sacrificed paid the price of the one sacrificing them. When they would sacrifice many of the sacrifices required, the one sacrificing the beast would put his hand on the head of the beast as if he were transferring himself to the beast. The beast was then sacrificed.
All these animal sacrifices were a 'Type' of what was going to eventually occur in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ which was going to occur.
When Jesus Christ was sacrificed he did it as not only as a man, but as a servant. As a Burnt Offering he wholly gave himself to his FATHER. As the TRESPASS and SIN OFFERINGS he was the ONE in which represented the Adam race: he paid the price.
When he was in the process of his earthly ministry he was in complete obedience to The Father and was led by The Holy Ghost. Jesus Christ sacrificed himself 'ALONE' on that cross - and therefore he cried out Psalm 22:1 "My God, My God Why hast Thou Forsaken Me?"
The Angels nor the Prophets understood what was taking place on that cross. The Devil himself did not understand. If the Devil would have known that the Death of Jesus Christ was going to be a victory, then the Devil would have done his part in trying to influence the people to keep him alive.
When Jesus Christ died, he offered himself up to God as the Burnt Offering, the Atonement Sacrifice, and all of the Sin and Trespass Offerings that were required by men.
He conquered DEATH, the DEVIL, and HELL when he died, was buried, and resurrected from the dead as he foretold his disciples - and as he told the people.
God was pleased with the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. God accepted what Jesus Christ offered for himself to God; and what Jesus Christ offered for the Adam race to God. God was pleased.
The Angels, good and bad saw this. They did not know that God was going to use the Sacrifice of Jesus Christ be an answer of salvation to the Adam race of all that have been, are, and will be saved. This was God's plan unbeknownst to the Angels and unbeknownst to the Prophets foretelling of the sacrifice.
The Blood Sacrifices came with a price for all that had sacrificed to God - and God also FELT the sacrifice.
Now this act by the Godhead was for Angels and Man to see; and possibly any other creature that God created as well.
      2) Why punish the Adam race for Adam's sin?
Answer: Adam had free will just like the Angels, but fell. Unlike many Scholars and Theologians saying that we all have 'Free Will' - I have to disagree. The Children of Adam all started off with 'Sin' in their genealogy. Adam did not suffer that, but his descendants did.
With The Lake of Fire and Brimstone that was prepared for The Devil and his Angels was/is also used for the unsaved individuals of the Adam race.
Adam tried to cover his nakedness with palm leaves, but The Lord replaced it with 'coats of skin' - animal sacrifice, God clothed them (The Man and the Woman).
With Adam's answer for his nakedness he used palm leaves to hide his nakedness. This is a kind of answer that Man may use for his actions - and it might be called, 'religion'.
      God's answer was 'Sacrifice'.
When Man sins, it does affect God. Man's answers for his own sins does not please God, but God's answer... is the answer.
In the Western World 'especially' in this day, people don't care to be 'told' or 'instructed' what to do - and to 'obey authority'. God wants obedience.
The Fallen Angels with their 'Free Will' did not want to 'Obey' - and they have their destination.
The Adam race does not have the 'free will', but they have the 'Sacrifice' that is accepted by God. There is a final destination with The Fallen Angels... or to be saved.
To us, the 'time element' might be long - but to God - 'time' has no power over him.
The people 'before' the cross had to have 'Animal Sacrifices' until Jesus Christ - and God did and does the accepting.
So obedience and responsibility was/is required by the Adam race. People may not be happy about this, but God is The Creator - and he decides.
      3) If Jesus is God why would he have to die, but if he really can't die?
Answer: He did not die as GOD, he died as a man. As a man, he represented the Adam Race... he often referred to himself as the Son of Man (Adam). Refer to Psalm 22:1) My God, My God...why hast thou forsaken me?
Before he died, he told his disciples and he even told the people that he would raise again from the dead. He did.
I also believe that God cannot die. Just as Mary is the mother of the Man Jesus Christ and NOT the Mother of God - God does not have a mother. In that same thought, God cannot die, and neither The Angels.
      4) Why would God act shocked that humans are going to sin even though he knew they would anyway?
Even though God knew that Man would sin with and without help from The Enemy, he still felt the unpleasantness.
      5) How could God be all-loving if he's going to send 75% or so of all mankind to hell?
Answer: Yes, God is the one that decides. He is the one that will either Accept the Sacrifice of Jesus Christ for those that are saved or he will Not Accept the Sacrifice of Jesus Christ for their sins that are not saved.
It is up to God. He knows Man better than Man knows himself. Also, God is Loving - but God is also Holy and Righteous.
      6) Also, why would many of these people suffer to be born in a wrong country and/or a wrong time?
Answer: Again, everything is in God's plan. In the capsule of time that God has set - every thing has its part to play.
With everything that has and will occur God has a reason - and part of the reason is to be acknowledged by Angels both good and bad, and by the Adam race: saved and unsaved.
This is a long answer for your questions, but hopefully you understand my answers.

First cause argument/Unmoved mover/prime mover argument.
      And why it fails
      Syllogistically it goes
      - everything that exists is in motion
      - everything in motion is caused to be in motion by something else
      - something must have existed without a cause
      - we call this prime mover/ first cause/ unmoved mover God
      - Therefore God exists
Firstly it an argument from special pleading -
      - It tries to say something must have existed without a cause
      Which is just special pleading.
It violates it's own premise (premise 2) which says
      - Everything in motion is caused to be in motion by something else.
It's also an equivocation fallacy -
We have no way to confirm a beginning of the universe and it comes down to what definition of the word "universe" we're talking about.
If we're using the scientific definition that being "all matter, space and time" then YES it's accurate to say the universe began at the big bang, but....
If we're using the colloquial definition of "universe" that being "everything that exists, has existed and will exist" then NO it is inaccurate to say the big bang was the beginning of the universe
      And here's why
Because the understanding that there was a beginning (in the colloquial sense) is based on general relativity and we know general relativity is not right because it's not compatible with quantum mechanics, so we have a prediction that the universe "began" based of a theory we can't trust.
So we also have a false premise.

Everything is code. human language was crated to make ppl dumb, it has locked ppls brains in "labels". If we are in simulation - it still fillows the rules of universe. Plus: what one says "constant" is just "current environment". Math is very cyclical. Ppl are so locked into thier mindsets. Like most ppl actively ignore things like them (their awarness point) being outside of the body. Sometimes it takes years of simple explanations, when the finakly accept and say: "yes, i think i´ve been outside of the body". Next thing. This who have psychic abilities are silent (for a good reason), Those (evil ones) who currently control this reality talk about this left-and-right (lightworkers), injecting somuch crap, that slowly waking up soul will not have time to see the real truth. Answers to Some Questions Individuals May Have
      1) Why would God need blood sacrifices as an answer for sins which he already knew would happen?

Firstly it's an argument from special pleading -
      - It tries to say something must have existed without a cause
So we also have a false premise

I trust Francis Collins is a genuine Christian. But I have to admit I lost a lot of respect for him after how he handled the pandemic as Anthony Fauci's boss. Anyone can google to see how Collins handled things if they don't already know. But I make another point. Sometimes even sincere Christians can intentionally or unintentionally behave worse than they should. We all still struggle with sin after all. It's just that Christians serving at the highest echelons of power have their sins witnessed by a lot more people and also what they do affects a lot more people than a nobody Christian like me where only the people I know are aware of my sins or weaknesses or deficiencies or failings and the effects of my sins are more limited, though they're still sinful of course. Nevertheless that's partly why the Bible says in James 3:1: "Not many of you should become teachers [or similarly high positions], my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness."

Dr. Collins' presentation was excellent. A couple of things that intrigued me:
I have not heard many cosmologists say that the universe came from nothing. They talk about different models; most say we still need to learn. Some believe the universe is past eternal and the Big Bang is just the beginning of a local universe. Hence, the claim that the universe came out of nothing understood as literal nothing, is on shaky grounds. For the same reason, we cannot say for sure what the cause was or why they supposed it was a God and not a natural phenomenon, as some cosmologists have argued. Collins just asserted this. Saying God is the first cause introduces some strange elements of the nature of this being, presumably conscious, with no physical structure, and with intentions and desires. God would have to massively improve our understanding of all to outweigh naturalistic explanations.
For fine-tuning, we have heard of a math that proposes to show how unlikely it is for us to exist. One could argue that asking this is like asking; what are the odds of me winning the lottery? After winning the lottery. This could mean that chance might be a good explanation. But what if the possibilities are unreasonably small? Can the multiverse solve this? Do the people who postulate such an "unparsimonious" theory want to eliminate god from the picture at all costs from sinful or biased desires?. I must admit I do not know the background of the idea; I know that it is controversial among working cosmologists, but some say that the multiverse is something predicted by the theory that has been successful in explaining other phenomena, not imposed or built onto the theory; if this is right, then the multiverse is a reasonable postulate. But again, I have to claim ignorance on this. Then, there is the possibility of life being more adaptable to a wide range of different constants than we think of; we still need to understand how life on Earth began in the first place.

    • @idealmodernsystems
      @idealmodernsystems ปีที่แล้ว +6

The *best* arguments? Really? They're crazy bad.
This makes zero sense: Although the speaker says atheism is irrational the first thing they say is that they have no conclusive evidence of a god? Isn't believe in something with no evidence irrational??
Having a spiritual hunger for something does not make it true.
*"There is something instead of nothing"* - - if there was nothing we wouldn't be having this conversation. This immediately nullifies the speaker's point. The only possible state of the universe we could be having this conversation is in a universe *with* something.
"The unreasonable effectiveness of mathematics".... It's effective because mathematics is merely a tool we invented to describe the reality of the universe that we observed. It's accuracy is because we based it on observable properties of a numeric system that we invented.
The Big Bang - The apologist in this video really needs to check their facts beyond the over simplistic misrepresentation of what science says. The way they speak about it is in the manner of an apologist, not a scientist. Although the speaker says they agree with the science, literally no scientist who supports the big bang theory says that the universe "came from nothing".
What's the reality of the situation?: The "singularity" that existed, the thing that rapidly inflated to finally, after millions and millions of years, resolve into the universe we know today, was not *nothing* it was *literally everything*; An unimaginable boiling mass of pure energy that contained every particle in existence today - *not* nothing, *literally everything* - albeit in a different more energetic form. It would take millennia to slow and cool into anything that would be recognisable today. Science shows it took 380,000 years for even the first Helium and Hydrogen atoms to form.
"The only plausible explanation..." - This is what's known as " an argument from ignorance/, incredulity " - it's a gigantic red-flag logical fallacy. Just because something is outside of your understanding doesn't mean you get to insert your pretty theory. You could just add simply insert " aliens" or the Simulation Hypothesis into your reasoning here. "The scientific consensus seems unlikely.... Therefore it must be a god/aliens. "
Furthermore: the "laws" that govern the universe are not "laws" in the sense that the speaker is using them. They are not "rules decided on" - the phrase "law of the universe" as is used in science means "observable recordable fact".
The "laws" that scientists describe are really statements of observation. The "law" of gravity is just a description of it's observable properties, the effects it has on matter, as caused by the recently discovered Higgs-Boson.
Now, I'm less than 4 minutes into this video, and the speaker hasn't made one truly rational/logical point - I simply don't have the time or energy to continue to debunk his every point.
That said, I'd welcome any discussion of any point I've made.
      Life long and prosper 🖖xx

Atheism is irrational. Even if you believe in the big bang like you do you have to admit a miracle occurred because the big bang theory in itself is a miracle. So if you admit that a miracle started the earth why do you act like god is a far fetched argument for the beginning of everything? you also didn’t speak on the fine tuning of the universe theory. @@idealmodernsystems Just because you don't understand something, doesn't make it bad. You just don't understand it. If you did, you'd be a Christian. For sure. Because the argument is perfectly logical and consistent.
Like a lot of what you said are equivocations, or don't grasp the root. Some of it is outright false. Like, what you said about mathematics. But, you'd have to study geometric proofs to understand why that is, and also why what he said about Physics makes sense.
Like the thing about math, specifically, shows a woeful ability to grasp it. You're caught up in the numbers--as in the language--but not the Logos--as in what the maths describe. He's not talking about Base systems, but rather the underlying principles that are universal, and do describe real phenomena. If they didn't, we wouldn't be having this conversation, as you said.
Pythagoras, interestingly said, the only real thing were numbers. But, what he meant was the thing which the number was. Which the principles of mathematics work according to how numbers interact with each other in the physical universe through their operations--which is what mathematics is, is a logic that describes and produces real results from it. That's not invented, it just is. It describes an actual phenomena. How we forgot that in ten years, is crazy. Which, is interesting because sets work according to the same logic as lines or even more complex shapes and patterns. Which, if there wasn't an inherent design in the universe, that wouldn't be.

Such a shame that the Christians bowed to the almighty government and Satan and forsaked going to church during that time.

@@warrennyDr. Collins used his clout amongst Christians to convince many pastors to close their doors. The pastor of my own church cited the advice of Dr. Collins as trustworthy and reliable on the topic of COVID. My pastor closed down in person services based on this advice.

Betrayed the church? Bowed to satan? Sounds like whining.
