Aptly said The songs almost mesmerising effect establishing the eternal truth in life thru her immortal presentation.glorifies DORIS DAY as AN ACTOR OF ALL TIME
@@ramachatterjee5428
Because Doris Day is a female then you have to write actress in place of actor. Here is why:
Actor refers to a man while an actress refers to a female.
Ll
@@SOCORROSILVA-in7px Not necessarilly. You see, "..in professional settings, "actor" is a common term for a performing artist regardless of gender. According to dictionaries, "actor" refers to an individual who acts, while "actress" exclusively applies to the female side.". 😊
Though this isn't my favorite Hitchcock film, this particular scene remains with me. You feel the heart break and desperation in her voice.
At first I thought, there's no way this beautiful, sweet, timeless song can be in a Hitchcock film. Then I thought, there's no way a Hitchcock film could end on such a happy and sweet song. Then I realised the child was kidnapped and this is absolutely a Hitchcock film.
A great one at that
HITCHCOCK SIEMPRE GUARDABA, EN CADA PELÍCULA, UNA SORPRESA, APARTE DE QUE SE LAS AVIABA PARA SALIR , EN CADA UNA DE ELLAS, AUNQUE FUESE EN UN FOTOGRAMA. SIEMPRE!!!!
EL CINE AMERICANO, EEUU., SIEMPRE EL MEJOR. Y EL DE PIERO PAOLO PASSOLINI, EL MÁS ABSTRACTO, TANTO O MÁS QUE SALVADOR DALÍ EN LA PINTURA.
I thought the exact same thing the first time I saw this movie and saw this song listed in the opening credits. I had no idea this song was from this movie.
this song is in many creepy movies nowadays luv it
Just this scene shows what a great actress Doris Day was. She appears to those in the room to be just a popular singer singing a slightly odd choice of song. She appears to us to be a mother whose heart is being torn out, bravely fighting to win back her kidnapped child. In the hands of Hitchcock, this 'double performance' is highly emotional, suspenseful and electrifying. And of course she sings beautifully, but that's a given for Doris.
Well said, Tom!
1956
Nicely explained an immotional sequence
It’s a fantastic. Epic movie. Her. Jimmy Stewart. I lose it. Every time. When watching. She was America’s sweetheart.
Add James Stewart to it, best combination.
Thank you for posting. My mother is 93 and was a huge fan of Doris Day. This is her favourite song. Mother is in a care home now. I played this song to her on my mobile phone last week.
❤️💐🙏
This is so sweet!! I bet she enjoyed it!! Little pleasures of her youth… I write with with swelling tears in my eyes … you are such a loving person
❤❤❤
When was little girl first-time heard this song i love this particular song i like 👍
When I was little, my older sister, who are 6 years older than me, beat and bullied me severely every day. I watched this film many many times, and during this scene I always weep, to this day, thinking how just like him, I longed to tell my mum of my pain, I longed to reach to her, but I can't. She worked multiple jobs just to keep us afloat, while my father never bothered to care and treat her with respect. I love my mum so much, that I bear the pain for years in silence, and have been diagnosed with severe depression and PTSD for years. I'm 39 years old now, and I just told her about it about 5 years ago, when in her old days now, my sister has been treating her like dirt.
天啊,你的故事令我傷心,希望你能振作,並與你的母親好好的生活,你們值得這一切,希望你知道在這世界上還有某個角落,有人在祝福著你
Doris Day is a role model for everyone. She was always classy yet open minded. Miss Day fought to protect animals from abuse and also wasn’t afraid of AIDS thanks to her unwavering friendship with Rock Hudson. We should all be more like her.
Nope. You are not my spokesperson and not entitled to decide who is a role model for me or not.
Beautiful and classy
Doris Day and Jimmie Stewart were both extraordinary talents...R.I.P.
For sure
R.I.P. Doris Day.
We, Japanese also loved this movie and your voice. 😭😭😭
Hitchcock knew how to frame a scene. he worked out all of the story boards for a movie in advance.
RIP Doris Day 1922 -2019 😭😭
The woman who has to care for the boy was also great. You can see how she is struggling with herself about letting ihm go. Wonder what happened to her afterwards. Real emotional scene.
Love this scene. It describes how powerful is love linking parents and children. Love helps to find alternative channels to comunicate (singing, whistling). Love allows a parent to realize in which room his son is imprisoned.
The movie that hooked me on Doris for life❣️
Funny, she didn't exactly like nor want to sing this song.....
No one like the multitalented Doris Day❣️
She truly was a super star ⭐️
Same.
4:33 I always get a little teary eyed at this point. No matter how many times I've seen this movie, my heart swells when I see her sing out with hope and pride in her mission.
Same
This entire scene always makes me bawl like a baby
Same
Likewise here, I am also teary eyed.
We used to sing this song when we were fifth graders.
Thank you this, Doris Day. Rest in peace.
when I was 13 years youth always Watched NBC evening night movies fabulous 50 back in the 60 and 70. how time gone by so quickly.
I love how a voice echoing throughout the house and the camera showing you every point
I'm sad but glad that she had a long life.
More importantly long happy life
The lovely she was gone but not forgotten from Linda parry in the UK liverpool8

So sad to lose another great from a rapidly fading era of style and grace. But as long as there is film and those to watch it she and others will live forever.
Iz ite faci veu chi sei
This is my favorite song from her and favorite scene. Everyone was looking for her to sound tranquil and not sing so loud but she sang loud for her son to hear and recognize her. I love it
She was beautiful in every way. Classic, classy and my fav!!
My great-grandfather Alexei Bobrinskoy played the ambassador she saved. Thanks for the save, Doris. RIP
Congratulations Steve. You must be very proud.
@@antonijamarkotic-krezo5787 He was also in The Inn of The Sixth Happiness with Ingrid Bergman (the train conductor who says, "Good english, yes?"). Hitchcock liked him and got him a few roles.
@@steveconn wow, that's a really cool story! Do you have some more to tell about your father working with Hitch ?
I grew up with this iconic memorable song. RIP Dear Doris Day. You gave us such happy memories to cherish forever.
Thank's for all memories Doris Day, RIP :( :(
Oh yes and the animals this Lady saved would have tears.
a great actress it's sad :(
R.I.P Doris Day 😭😭😭😭
Her movies were a safe and a wholesome fun for all the family to watch and spend quality time together ..
I call her The Elegant Mother as she was a mother in most of her movies .. kind, loving and yes Elegant.
She retired in Carmel, CA where she bought a cute hotel only to allow pets in as other hotels in town were not
allowing pets in. She represented the best in our American culture.
God bless her soul and accept her in His Mercy and in His Paradise.
God blessed us for allowing Doris Day to have the ability to sing for so many years.
R. I. P. Doris Day. We will miss you.
Hitchcock was a great director made even greater by the likes of Doris Day and James Stewart. Thank you for bringing the best of them to us once again.
What a meaningful song... RIP Doris Day....
Thank you for everything Doris Day! You will be remembered forever!
This was one of the few Hitchcock movies I hadn’t seen until a few days ago, when I decided to revisit his filmography. What a surprise for me it was to find out that this song is the main musical theme of this film.
Like many others, I had no idea this song was taken from this movie.
And Doris Day also had the last laugh at her naysayers with her Oscar-nominated turn here. She is resplendent !
No one thought she could turn in the dramatic performance of her life.
The genius of Hitchcock, he always made superstars of every blonde in his movies and Doris was no exception.
Doris Day, James Stewart are just legendary actors.
Reminds me to watch the movie
For reasons not worth explaining, my entire day has had one theme: Que Sera Sera, mostly to keep myself on an even emotional keel. It's a phrase that came to mind because of Doris Day's performance of a song I love. Until now, I never knew the full context of why she sang this and why it's so iconic. Thank you so much for this, it was just what I needed at this moment in time. :)
One of the Best gone but never forgotten RIP Doris
I heard song since my childhood days, I missed listening to this song, never tired of it, want to thank the composer and singer for this lovely song, her legacy lives on, RIP Ms Doris Day, God bless everyone 🙌

Thankyou for the legendary song until my generation below forever. Que Sera Sera. RIP Doris Day...

I loved the way you got the sense that the song moved down the hall.
We will always love you Doris Day.
This scene really moved me. It caught me off guard so much I didnt even realize I was crying.

Breathtaking masterpiece if Alfred Hitchcock. The Man Who Knew Too much. Can watch it again and again. Mind-blowing that Hitchcock's movies can still be so entertaining and captivating in 2021.
So glad we have this great lady on film forever! Prayers for Doris Day's family and friends. She led a beautiful life.
Eu era apaixonado por ela
The only one left is her grandson. And I don't know if he ever married. But yes, condolences to her family. She had a brother and I believe he had children and grandchildren.
@@rawmark yes her son Terry had a son...but her management cut him out of her life...very sad.
@@Momof4men I hadn't heard this bit. I'll have to research further. Very sad if it's true. Because her grandson would have been the only family connection left beyond her brother's children.
@@rawmark it is on his fb page. Very sad.
One of the best mystery/thriller films of all time. Superb!
R.I.P. Doris Day for all the joy you brought to so many people !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
R.I.P Doris Day. I loved this beautiful song and still listening in 2019
A great movie. Two great actors with Hitchcock. This song won the Academy award that year. They sure as hell don't make such as this any more.
Beautiful song, rest in peace
We Iranian people remember and love her.
She was legendary actress and singer.
You mean you're actually allowed to show American movies in your country?
Doesn't that go against your
Sharia Laws?
@@billmurray7473 I think she was referring to the 1950s and 60s when the Shah tried to westernise and modernize the country. In the 1970s women even wore miniskirts in the big cities in Iran.

Rip to a beautiful Legend
Descansa.
And ROCK HUDSON who was gay…was her BEST FRIEND!👏🏿🌈👏🏿🌈👏🏿🌈🦋🦋🦋🦋

We all love you Doris Day, rest in peace 😭❤️💕💞💓
I love how most of the room looks at her like "What the hell is this?" The look on Mrs. Ambassador's face says it all.
I think the looks the audience gave might have to do with the way Doris Day sang the song. It was sung louder and more forcefully than normal so that the boy could hear it.
You will be missed!
OH my god, ive never heard this version before of Que sera sera!
I realy love it!
Grande y maravillosa Doris Day, Cuantas bonitas peliculas he visto de esta grandisima actriz,
