In between the Avenue there are lots of churches and schools now and so much More !!
Lived here during my high school and college years. The Q6 bus was the worst. Most of the time I walked home from the train station. When the bus did show up it was jam packed. Sometimes I even had my ghettoblaster with me. Had 3 different ones. My mother worried everytime I left the house with it but I always came back in one piece with all my stuff.
Hello, Action Kid , you should do a walk through, Kew Gardens. There are a lot of cleaner neighborhoods, and transportation hubs too. I used to live in Jamaica Queens. It was nice to see Jamaica Queens, Pre- Pandemic Era. Keep it up Action Kid.
Hi, thanks for spotlighting Jamaica! I realize this video is a few years old, I wish you would have done research ahead of time. Then you might’ve realized all of the actual Landmarks you passed. The Chase, the clock, even the Snipes (clothing store) are all landmarked. The Tabernacle of Prayer For All People was once the Loews Valencia. One of the five Loew’s Wonder Theaters. Then again, you walked showing the present and I’m thinking of Jamaica in the past
Rashan Sankofa LoL really I’ve hearing that people are too rude and everyone looks sad so much noise and stuffs but thanks bro for letting me know i think it’s cool to visit but not live or stay there
@Rashan Sankofa you troll a Google search told me that you think I was held captive? No we chose to live in New York stop making it seem like it's a hell hole you make not like it but maybe the next Average Joe or Jane may love it. I don't think you should have to insult someone over it
Those avenues remind me some avenues in the city where I live, Santiago Chile. Such as Gran avenida av., San Diego av., full of stores, banks, markets everywhere. 👍
Thanks for this - really interesting. I usually associate this area with stress and confusion after arriving at and surviving the JFK immigration process and the AirTrain and the further stress of locating the E Train. Maybe I should take some time to just chill in Jamaica.
I think you did an excellent job in showing the area, On the corner of Stpthin & Jamaica Ave Family Ct, is also criminal Ct. for kids. City probation office used to be on the side of the street you were walking.& legal Aid wa around the corner from the courts (144 St, & 89 Ave) Yes you're right St. Albans is across town.

I used to go Jamaica Ave to shop.. bring back memories..
Allways visit Jamaica ave when I visit from Canada. Love the vibe.
When have a lot similarities a lot Caribbean and different ethic backgrounds y’all like our cuzins London as well
This is my old area back in the mid to late 80s. We lived at Main St. & Union Tpke. which you can see on the map at the start in the upper left corner, just to the right of where it shows the Kew Motor Inn, technically the Kew Garden Hills neighborhood. I went to Hillcrest HS. It was crazy back then, but also a lot of good memories. The hustle was real!
Lived there long ago..Shimer Jr High..John Adam's....he just passed Grace Episcopal Church on Jamaica Ave near Parsons...that's a historic church over 200 plus years old. On the north side of street... good to see the area..so much has changed ...since 2002 even...👍
I really like your videos! I hope to visit New York soon!! Greetings from Greece!!!
Excellent video for the weekend, thanks ActionKid!
ActionKid shows the best of NY. Some places , such as Jamaica, are every day NYorkers, living and working, making their way in life as they raise their families!
LOL!!
You must live on billionaires row ? LOL !!
Wow you took me back!! I haven’t been in Jamaica ave since I was a kid and I wished you’d walk down 160th street so I can see where I used to live!! That would be awesome but I enjoyed your video and I’ll keep watching!!! 👍🏾🙏🏾
Thank you very much!
Action kid, your content is amazing! I'm a new subscriber 👍
Action Kid, you are sooo knowledgeable! Thank you for sharing!
Wow that was a postcard from home I used to live in the area when I was a kid I even attended P.S. 95 I am 63 and live in KY thanks for the memories
Thanks for your amazing Vidoes! Excellent Quality !! My hometown , Jamaica. Been there over 19 years. The place has transformed and its very busy with retail shops etc. There is also a Farmers Market on Fridays. You did a lot of walking...Be careful and God bless You.
LOL "Native New Yorkers eating New York City street food" Love your narrated walks.
Hello, Action Kid , you should do a walk through,
Kew Gardens. There are a lot of cleaner neighborhoods, and transportation hubs too. I used to live in Jamaica Queens. It was nice to see Jamaica Queens, Pre- Pandemic Era. Keep it up Action Kid.
Thanks for being such an expository character ActionKid🤗👍great job!
Would love to live in New York one day it’s going to be a dream come true
Rashan Sankofa LoL really I’ve hearing that people are too rude and everyone looks sad so much noise and stuffs but thanks bro for letting me know i think it’s cool to visit but not live or stay there
That may be true but for me growing up here is something that cant be replaced
@Rashan Sankofa Now whar does that mean again?😐
@Rashan Sankofa you troll a Google search told me that you think I was held captive? No we chose to live in New York stop making it seem like it's a hell hole you make not like it but maybe the next Average Joe or Jane may love it. I don't think you should have to insult someone over it
Try Long Island and buy a house ! Rent is too expensive nowadays and for no space 😉
I used to live in Jamaica, queens. 168th and hillside ave
176th jamaica ave
@Richard Head yea, 😂. Have you been to Jackson heights, 74th st? It's like india
@@diecastfly9002 cool! I miss going to the fish market in sutphin blvd. They had fresh sea food there.
Same 176th
Those avenues remind me some avenues in the city where I live, Santiago Chile. Such as Gran avenida av., San Diego av., full of stores, banks, markets everywhere. 👍
Thanks for this - really interesting. I usually associate this area with stress and confusion after arriving at and surviving the JFK immigration process and the AirTrain and the further stress of locating the E Train. Maybe I should take some time to just chill in Jamaica.
Hi ActionKid and by the way, the guy who gave you the finger needs to get a life. There was no need for that. Anyway, enjoyed the video, AK!
this vid is corny
Very interesting. I would have liked to walk some more of the neighborhood. I love those houses. Thanks actionkid
10:25 and on for awhile!!! Aaaaahhhhh, the Sounds of NYC!!! Thank You, AK!!👋🙂
Jamaica great video, AK. Thanks! 🐿️
Thank you!

he knows he was safe but i did not. having never been there i can only go by what news and movies and people say about the city. he still deserves credit for his work.
Lived in Jamaica queens most of my life and didn’t know allat history 😂😭😭😂
Now you know!
Se mira tranquilo el barrio
Interesting video. I visited New York last year. Had to exit the Jamaica station because my credit card didn’t work at the subway. After a long flight and the very long waiting times at jfk, the Jamaica area is a bit overwhelming.
Caminhada pelas ruas e avenidas do Queens em New York dos EUA, muito bom, por deixar conhecer um pouco da vida e da história de alguns americanos, DEUS abençoe a América, obrigado meu nobre brother pelo o seu vídeo.
New York City has the Best Transit System.
In America, yes.
