I have noticed that there are many British people coming to the U.S. for the past couple of years and I don't blame them. As long as people try and stay out of the big cities, it is better.

I live in Edmonton and have lived in Tottenham. These are areas which some may consider has a high level of crime. Let me tell you that London is safe. It is only unsafe if you are part of a gang, because gang members don't usually attack randomly, but only those who they would consider their enemies. As long as you keep yourself to yourself and don't carelessly display your wealth then you won't have any problems in London, even in the more deprived parts of the city.

London is like this because the vast majority of its population are no longer Londoners, no longer English, or British, or even European. It maybe unsayable but it’s the most glaringly obvious fact. If you change the people you can’t expect the culture to remain the same. London is no longer culturally English.

I’m half Polish half American born and raised in Australia. Moved to London in 2018 but the rapid deterioration of the city ( and entire country) became unbearable and depressing. Decided to move to Poland March this year and loving it. Clean, safe cities, well dressed people, fantastic infrastructure, strong nationalistic spirit, and hatred for illegal or mass immigration. If you want to live here, you have to be useful (means work), integrate, and respect the country’s values and culture. If you don’t, the Poles will make you don’t feel welcome - no such a thing as political correctness here.

Billionaires need to integrate instead of living in different countries whilst taking from state finances and not giving back enough. I've read the same bullshit of blaming immigration for societies woes in newspapers from every decade in the past 150 years, it's nothing new. Look it up. When will you people learn that the system is the problem. The US is a nation of immigrants, made by mass immigration. And those first immigrants committed genocide. Now it's the descendents of these people, the imperialists, who are causing most of the world's problems. They are causing a perpetual refugee crisis.
You're blaming the wrong things and all the while the extreme capitalist exploiters are getting away with destroying the planet and affecting billions of people's lives. You're a useful idiot to the imperialist agenda and you need to realise it and join the people actually trying to make a positive change, instead of blaming 'immigrants'.

As an American who visited London for the first time this past summer, I have to say that I actually really liked it. I see what you mean about the garbage and probably having higher levels of crime than you used to have, but I've spent the last 20 years living in and around New York City, so I'm used to all that. To me, the big difference between London and New York City is that New York is a bit more vertical, but London is far more beautiful. The architecture is really great, you have a bunch of great museums, great history, etc etc.

I've also lived in and around NYC for the last 20 years, which is equally if not more "diverse" than London. So what I noticed wasn't the immigration so much as the TYPE of immigration: we have plenty of middle easterners and Indians, but the majority of our immigrants are Latin American. I thought it was weird to barely see any Hispanic people.

I lived in Japan for 5 years in Kyoto city as a University student. l visited Yokohama, Tokyo, Osaka, Hiroshima, Shiga, Nara, Kobe, and Fukuoka over the years. The cleanliness, rare crime, and high fresh air quality made me realise other western countries are proportionately lagging behind. I went to South Korea but it also proved to be better. Japan is still intact thanks to their very strict immigration control. I don't understand why western leaders watched their countries wreck without intervention. The damage is getting gradually out of control and irreversible.

I was in London last month - made the mistake of trying to walk from Paddington station to Oxford Circus because the weather was nice and I didn't fancy the Tube. Going down Edgware Road was like entering Cairo or Khartoum, but the worst of it was a member of a certain religion had set up a stall and was blasting out at full volume on speakers a looped tape of an angry voice in heavily-accented English yelling about the triumph of a certain religion and the death of all those who refuse to submit to it. Not one plod in sight. It was then that I realise it's over for the UK, red rover.

I was in London in the early 1990s. The city felt safe. I could walk around comfortably even at 3 am. Being a person of colour I stood out a bit but no one treated me badly. I did meet a Black Cockney guy who worked at our hotel and he was so happy to see an American that was not White. 😄 I used to dream of retirement in the UK because I loved it so much.
Now, there is no way that I would ever consider going back. The more images I see it frightens me what is happening there. That is definitely not the England I visited. Saddest thing is this is the same thing happening here in the USA. And it all seems to be planned for control and dominance over the original inhabitants. Prayers for Europe and the USA. 🙏

Nearly every city in the world has similar problems and for 2000 years London has had crime, poverty and filth. Was there ever a golden age for this city? No, but it is a shame to see it so uncared for and vandalised.
The best bits are away from the tourist areas.
The homeless situation gets worse and the more they do to help people on the streets by getting them into some kind of apartment or hostel the more people arrive lookiing for help.
I never give money to beggars because it keeps them there. If begging didn't produce results they would be compelled to move.
When you start talking to some of the people in those tents you will often find that their lives turned to shit in a very short time. Without the support of a family is is a hard life for so many.

These once iconic cities have become less English and French and the result is not appealing or attractive anymore. So of course the actions taken by the government allegedly because of the alleged pandemic like lock down which helped to destroy the economy has nothing to do with the decline of the UK, nor has the pushing of woke agendas (aka Cultural Marxism) helped destroy the UK by letting people act the victim (blaming other politically acceptable groups like white people not those with charitable foundations like bill gates and George Soros though) rather than taking any responsibility in their life or by the promotion of depravity because you have to live in 'your truth (lie)' and everything is allegedly a social construct so apparently there is no such thing as evil so 'do as thou wilt' should be the whole of the law . Also pushing for net zero based on at best questionable science and at worst biased and floored computer models which cripples industry has nothing to do with the decline. I suppose actions by the banking elites which has increased our national debt when we had to bale them out with money we comedically borrow from another bank has nothing to do with the UK decline. It is all the result of Brexit even though EU countries are having similar problems this is all due to Brexit.

People write about how good it was in the 90s'. I am old enough to remember my mother taking me for the day to visit an uncle who ran a pub in the East End. This was 1950 - the smog was so bad I could hardly breathe, then came the Clean Air Act and London became a good place to live. In the 60s' and 70s' London was a great place to live or to visit. The music scene was great, the cost of living was cheap, you didn't need lots of money. My wife and I used to visit London for days out until the end of the 90s'. We left the UK in 2001. I have only gone back once in 2007. There is nothing to miss now. How ordinary people live in London now I simply don't know and seeing this video only confirms that the UK is now a broken system. I’m English and living in England and have never had any particular desire to go to London, but I do see lots of towns and cities across the country going downhill. Our high streets are dying to death and there is a lot of shoplifting which exacerbates the problem. The NHS is on its knees and the police are becoming a standing joke and that’s even before you consider the force that is Westminster!!
I’m sure we are not that much different to many other places across the world. I wouldn’t want my time again!

I'm glad I'm not the only one that can see these things because there are times when I think maybe I'm just getting too old and out of touch but I'm pretty sure things are not at all normal and haven't been for years now, and yet so many seem to act like what's going on around them is acceptable and say nothing when I'm certain that there was a time when many would speak up and complain etc. This is why I sometimes question myself. Thanks.

I moved to London from the north east when I was 23 in 2007 out of necessity as there were no jobs nearby. I spent 13 years there. London - Oxford street in particular - was wonderful the first few years I was there. The huge topshop was the dream, with oasis across the road and all the big department stores further down. I left 2020 and moved back home with the same job (thanks WFH). I’m glad I experienced London during such a fab period. Makes me sad to see it now

Here's the tragedy of London. Once people lived in London. Now the majority just survive, while the well to do separate themselves. Everyone just focus on the city's history.
