Such marvelous city, the options are endless. Thank you for your insights on the places you walk. The narrative is a very important part of your videos. Please keep them coming. All the best!!
I used to work in the World Financial Center (225 Liberty St.) until 9/11. Brings back many memories walking around the World Trade Center area. Thanks for posting, ActionKid. That was a long walk from 42nd St. in the heat. Take care...stay hydrated.
Hi ActionKid. I'm from Brooklyn and now living in Upstate NY. ( I especially loved your Coney Island boardwalk video's) Thanks for all your wonderful walking. You really show all the things that I love to see. I love NYC architecture, especially the very old buildings that have been remodeled, yet still have hints of the original design. Keep on walking. You're great!
The sidewalks are so wide!! I ❤️ NY!! I lived in Manhattan, career transfer from San Francisco, CA back in 1989, loved my six month stay!! There’s no other city like this, the heartbeat of America!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
You stay safe and hydrated! Love your videos! I love people watching and all the amazing architecture! I find it so odd that people rarely speak to one another in passing. No, “ excuse me” or “good morning/evening”. I live in Texas, in a small town, and people always speak, smile or acknowledge one another in some way. Love seeing different perspectives. Keep up the awesome work!
I live in Tennessee I have noticed that too. It's like everybody just ignores each other no matter what happens they just keep on walking. It seems to work. I guess talking would clog the streets. lol
OMG!!! This video tour helped me greatly!! By fluke as I'm watching I saw Whole Foods (HOUSTON / BOWERY) on the other side of where you were walking and it looked familiar to one of my walks when I visited NYC last November 2019. I did ask you in a comment on another video to help find it, so please disregard my request...as the MYSTERY IS SOLVED!! When I was in NYC I walked along Cooper Square, I took a picture of a garden patio lit up beautifully in the evening. I thought I would be able to look it up later on and had no luck until now! As I retraced my steps while watching this video! Turns out the garden patio is part of a hotel! The Standard Hotel on 25 Cooper Square!!! Thanks to your video I can finally breathe a sigh of relief!!! If you are in the area again and check it out in the evening !
Addicted to your videos. I walked 20 miles in 3 days in NYC last year. It’s such an amazing city. One can never see it all it or see enough it seems. At the end of this one I hope you got a nice cold drink. Your feet must hurt from all that walking. Mine sure did last year! Thank you for the videos.
Just one technical note...north of Union Square, 4th Ave is known as Park Ave South and becomes Park Avenue at 33rd St . On West 4th and Bowery, that outdoor dining area restaurant has good food...ate there two weeks ago .Great walk, great video, and keep up the great work, Actionkid.
I can assure You that in 1975, Chinatown was already a tourist attraction. We were driven there in a tourist bus and shepherded in some shops to persuade us to buy souvenirs. But I did like it and recognize Mott street from my own old stile super8 takes! I really got addicted by your video's. Great!

Thanks, AK. What makes NYC so enjoyable is if you had walked south on the streets parallel to Bowery the atmosphere would be so different: 1 Elizabeth St.: Very quiet with trees and a sculpture garden. 2 Mott St.: busy and Asian. 3 Mulberry St.: busy and Italian.
I really enjoy your walks in New York City. You make it so interesting by pointing out historical areas and places I've always wanted to see. I'm too old now, to visit there and do the walking. One place I always wanted to visit was the antique shop neighborhoods. Antique music boxes have always been fascinating to me and quite a few years ago, the famous Rita Ford Music Box Shop was located, I believe on 165th St. Many movie stars and TV personalities were customers of Ms. Ford. After she passed away, her collection was probably auctioned off. I don't know if there are anymore antique shops in New York that specialize in music boxes...it would be interesting to find out. I particularly liked seeing the bicycle parking rings at 11:56--very creative design, takes up minimal sidewalk space and should work with a variety of bike locks.
Hi Actionkid! I appreciate you talking me through your walks. If I could ask a couple of things to perhaps improve my experience as the viewer: : 1) could you please frame the camera more upwards so not so much sidewalk in the picture? And 2) in the beginning of your videos, you give a map - perhaps a quick explanation of start points and the direction of your walks right after showing the map would help me understand which way you are going. Thanks for considering these ideas. And one more thing - thank you for being so kind in all your comments during your walks. I love not only what you point out, but ow you describe your experience. Thanks again!
I'm enjoying this. I like your narration of the history and little known facts about the buildings. I can see you doing a high lights of the many apartment buildings featured in TV sitcoms like "Friends," "The Odd Couple," "Will And Grace." "Sinfeld," and "Taxi." Each of those TV shows were shot with the back drop being New York. Take for example Will And Grace. In that TV show alone, there was Will and Graces apartment building and the building where Grace worked and ran her business "Grace Adler Design." From the TV show "Friends" there was the apartment building where Rachel and Monica lived then there was the cafe they all hanged out near central park. On a side note there were also many movies shot with New York as their setting. One of them was "When Harry Met Sally." That movie was famous for Sally's moment in the diner. Anyway, just trying to give you ideas for more videos. Those TV shows showed us only a part of what it was like living in New York but you could never really get to know their buildings well because they never did this kind of tour of their apartment buildings.
@@ActionKid I think it would be a hit because many people watch the TV shows and movies, but don't ever get a chance to see it like this. Take for example the movie "The Lord Of War" Nicolas Cage plays Yuri Orlov a gun runner and gets busted by the Feds. Well in the movie there is a scene where they take him to New York to interrogate him and Orlov tells the agent that he will be released because while he might be "evil." Unfortunately for him he was a necessary evil that his government needed to fight wars they could not have any involvement. Moments later there was a knock at the door and he was released. I believe when he is released it takes place at 46:20 in your video.
ActionKid, you outdone yourself on this one. This was very good. I thank you so much for doing the Bowery and ending in such an interesting place. That was a tremendous walk, you may want to try investing into a baseball cap(I'm sure you have one already) on the very hot days, and some bottled water or powerade/gatorade, electrolyte type water. To stay hydrated. You're triumphant again! You win hands down, BTW if you freeze the powerade/gatorade in your refrigerator/freezer overnight. It will melt while you walk keeping it cold during your walks. This is just a suggestion, "your fans," we count on you to bring us this fabulous information, entertainment, and enjoyment. Thank you very much again, your dedication is over the maximum.
Thank you so much! You would never think the building was a shopping mall and transportation hub until you step inside! I have a cap and usually carry water with me 😃 There are also plenty of places to get something to eat & drink in NYC.
@@ActionKid Yeah, I just thought since you're filming it would be a "seamless" transition to do it that way. You're smart though, you'll figure it out.
I´m allways wondering, how cool the people stay, in the streets. While a guy is openly recording and speaking to himself. Here in germany, the people would think: Is he mad, because speaking with no one around him, and no cell phone ? In Germany you would need a permit from everyone, who you record exposed, to allow you this, and allow to show this recording in public, ie like YT. But this is law only - not practice. I work in a small radio station. Everyone must give us a permit, to allow us, to broadcast his speaking, AND to store it digital at our computers. Every worker must give a permit, to allows the radio station, to store his data at the computers. It´s crazy, but law.
In America, we've become accustomed to people babbling to themselves in public, because most of them are actually talking to their telephones. In New York, it's hard to find a public area where no one is around you.
@@keithnichols7926 In germany too. But the visitors want to see the cell phone, to recognize, thats it´s a telephone call. But with wireless bluetooth you can store your cell phone in the bag or pocket. But the other people becomes confused, because they see no cell phone. NYC has also too many crowd in the city and on the streets. I think, that is the reason, why older people leave NYC ? But young people like it. I´m older, but I like to see the people in the streets. This pulsating urban life. If I am in a street cafè, I like to watch the people all time. So the videos about the streets and parks in NYC are the right ones for me. And how huge the Central Park is. I like also videos of Venice Beach in L.A. California. But L.A. or San Francisco are more car driven cities, as pedestrians.
Just started watching your vids, and I like!....This city is alive!...So, many people out and about, shit where I live lucky if you see your neighbor, let alone the know you after 20yrs living there, lol....
This is the best way to see and experience New York, in my view. (Feet up/air conditioning on for me). Such a service you do! I'm surprised at how clean it looks most everywhere. Not dark and claustrophobic like I always imagined. I'm joking, but it's like you were hired by the Mayor for Public Relations and Tourism. Were you? Lol. Seriously.

Great tour. Never been to NYC, probably never will, so love the tour.
Man this video was fun. So much stuff going on and so much stuff to look at and do in NYC.
Well done doing that walk in that heat.. Enjoyed watching it... 😊 😊
I came in NYC in June. I hope I’m coming back there soon.
Meanwhile, I watch your magnificent videos!
Thank you 😎
Thank you❤❤❤
This is the best way to see and experience New York, in my view. (Feet up/air conditioning on for me). Such a service you do! I'm surprised at how clean it looks most everywhere. Not dark and claustrophobic like I always imagined. I'm joking, but it's like you were hired by the Mayor for Public Relations and Tourism. Were you? Lol. Seriously.
Thank you very much 😊
Love it . Thanks

Another Excellent Video Sir.
