Interesting chat about the pattern printing and sizing. I spoiled a favourite fabric with my LB pullover because my A4 pattern pieces were not true and I did not check my scale box. Rookie error🙈. I have used a lot of Style Arc patterns but ready printed ones. I have never used a sewalong and have somehow figured them out by breaking down the written instructions phrase by phrase, swearing and scratching my head 😂😂. Brilliant bobbin winding trick !! Gorgeous result - worth all the effort. Such clever fabric choice and usage. 😍😍. Off to see Christine’s now. 😊 Lynne

Hi Sam. What a dress! It was so worth the wait to see the reveal of both dresses made by you and Christine. I'm imagining you both giggling through the head-scratching bits instead of getting really frustrated if sewing solo. The duvet cover has a great new life and will be a lovely reminder of your trip and all the fun you had. The two of you are bringing lots of smiles to everyone, Antonia

Loved this collab, where we get to see you both together discussing the dress and your triumphs and challenges before doing the solo reveals.
Your dress is stunning! I LOVE the fabrics you chose and the choices you made with pattern placement. Your dresses have such a different feel to them, and I love the way color and fabric choices can make one pattern look so different. If I saw you together, I'm not sure when I might notice it was the 'same' dress.

Love your dress... as well as Chistine's... wow so glad you had each other to get thru that so... both your feedback was so helpful... I too bought this pattern about a month ago n never thought to look for a sew a long... I think most all the techniques I have done before but waist yoke against a button placket n this is my first style arc... in reading the instructions 20x n strateging the make I think I remember they said what sewing bust cup they design for... I beleive its B or C n I'm a DD or DDD so I have been debating that I need to do an FBA n how to do that... might that be you bodice problem ??? Great video beautiful dresses n your fabric is stunning... great job ladies... I'm jealous of your fun time together... Bravo!!!

I recently made this dress four times in a row! I decided I wanted to wear it to my son's wedding, but I wanted to perfect the fit and techniques before cutting into the precious fabric I had been saving for the occasion. After a rough toile and three very wearable versions, I have made A LOT of changes to the construction methods and order of operations. (FYI: My pockets didn't work either!) I can now make the entire dress in one day if I start early, but I could never have managed it at all without the fantastic sew alongs I found here on TH-cam. Even now that I've made it four times, I still couldn't tell you how the instructions in the pattern match up to what you're actually supposed to do. Despite the challenges, it really does seem to look amazing on everyone who makes it. Yours turned out great! 💙

oh wow 4 times in a row. I hope the dress for your son's wedding turned out well. I am on the search for a similar style of dress with perhaps less steps.

Beautiful dress. It's the piping that just puts it over the edge for me into truly stunning! Love the level of detail and care on the print placement.

I love your Belle. I admit I have been totally put off Style Arc patterns by the reviews of their instructions, but I do love the Belle Dress and having seen Becki's and now yours I might give it a go.

I actually love style arcs drafting. And so far, I haven’t found their instructions too difficult, although I’ve mostly made their easier patterns. I do a toile first to work out any kinks - but generally I’ve found them easier to follow than a Big 4 pattern.

Just came over from Gemini to see your reveal! I love your fabric! The way you used the green in the yokes really livens it up. Your sneaky panel is perfectly sneaky too 😂. No one would notice if you don’t say anything. It looks great on you, i actually thought the caramel piping was a ribbon at first, it looks fabulous.
