Thanks for the Bob pants pocket tutorial very helpful as they are my favourite pants Karina from Lifting pins and needles had great tutorial on many different waist bands have a wonderful week 😊😊😊😊
I’ve just discovered crimping which you could use on the curve of the outside patch pocket also. Crimping is a game changer for putting in a sleeve. Like to see an English traditional Christmas. I’m in New Zealand. Thanks for pattern hacks.
HI Sam, I love your videos, I have also fallen in love with the Bob pants and have made various pocket alterations. MY favourite is to attach the Camden skirt shaped patch pocket to the outside of the Bob's. Thanks for posting your helpful vlogs xx
Yes please to styling your winter bobs, chanterelles etc. I love the look of them but just wouldn’t know what footwear etc to wear with them. I have a metal ankle so I can’t wear a high heel (a small kitten heel is about the highest I can go) so any ideas would be greatly appreciated Sam 💞💞
I’ve loved all your episodes, but this one was especially full of takeaway knowledge for others! I’ve sewn for64 years, some of those professionally, but if you’re not learning, you’re dead! Needless to say, I learned something today. I’m currently working on a top out of taffeta, with a pattern made from my favorite, old sweatshirt. Needless to say, changes were needed. I love to see someone challenge themself as you do!
Love that skirt, glad you were able to save it. Would love to see how you change a set in sleeve to a raglan and looking forward to seeing your Heather sweater sewn up xx
I’ll be interested to see your sleeve edit. I have a pattern which is raglan which I had to alter a) to raise the neck and b) to take out some fullness in the front. I t was tricky ! I have done it. I noticed that there is some interesting new information on the TATB website with regards to amending or garment fitting which has been released in conjunction with her new raglan sweatshirt.
Interesting l really like the feee range slack pocket and it does work and it’s long. obviously it does have top attic detail but that is part of the feel of the slacks, your Arthur pocket sounds good, I haven’t made those trousers
Loved the pocket explanation, Sam. I'm sure the welt pocket on the I am bob trench is the worst ever. I will defo be changing it if I make another one. It is a gorgeous coat, I added 10 inches to length, but the pocket isn't the best. After years of sewing, I do forget different hacking bits. ❤
Thank you for discussing the Free Range Slacks pockets. I have made 3 pairs of these and each timeI have sewed them I try to tweak the pockets. I think the facing is too small and the pocket stiched straight onto the front of the pants too weak for my mobile and hospital pager!! I'm sewing a completely different pair of stretch pants from the ITS Sew Beautiful book but I'm tweaking the pocket and trying a pocket bag inspired by you! By the way, it 9.30pm and 27 degrees in Sydney tonight.
@ Hello, I am interested in a large plaid print skirt. I see skirts that have the plaid slightly turned into a diamond shape (at an angle). Is there a right way to lay out plaid fabric when making a plaid skirt?
I am a brand new subscriber to your channel and wonder if you could provide in the description, the individual names/ brand of the patterns you share with us. I am having a bit of difficulty with the accent (something my ears never can seem to deal with) and would like to look them up. Many thanks 🎉
I just toiled the Bob pants, what were they thinking about the pockets? I have long arms and add 2” to most sleeves, and they are low for me too. FWIW.

Good idea x
Hi there, love your videos. Would you consider showing how to make a plaid skirt? Just can’t get the angles correct.
Thank you when you say a plaid skirt do you mean a specific pattern or a specific types of fabric

Sounds very interesting. It is not something I have done before but will have a look and a think.
❤
Thank you
Have you rolled the neck on your jumper?
On which jumper?
