Having spent the last week watching your videos through from start to now, I have to say you know a HECK of a lot about soaping!! Thank you so much for doing them! They are so easy to follow. I am just starting out and I'm sure you've just saved me a lot of wasted time and money!! I look forward to more classes, teach ;)
It was good to see the actual process of rebatching. I've only read about it. I don't think it's something I'd want to mess with, but it's an option. Thanks, Teach !
Louise I am not sure what she used as she does not list her ingredients. But any soap can be rebatched into a re-meltable soap using the method for my translucent soap {there is a tutorial for it on this channel}. Instead of the first part of making the soap, just heat your rebatch until soft and jump to the alcohol step. I will do my best to get a lesson on this soon. Hope I was a little helpful :)
A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do - that's all you need to know Phil! Me, making a play for one of the roofers...might be! Brazen, oh yes definitely!! hehehehe! The rain has just stopped in Gloucester and the sun has come out but still windy. I spoke to Debby last week and she said that she was getting on top of it (she didn't sat what 'it' was) and that she would be back in class this week to sort you out. Actually I can just imagine Debby marching in a drill hall in those boots !! x
I'm here Teach!! I've got a really good excuse honest! Debby has her Cowboys and now I've got surveyer's and roofers and the promise of some burly builders if I'm really lucky at a later date....hows that!! Interesting tutorial, I have a two batches that should be rebatched and I think now I will give it a go. I'm not too keen on the finished bar the same with hot process but a useful rustic looking soap is better than soap going in the trash- right. Thank you Teach, Luv, Rene x
You must have struggled to find some of your soap that wasn't pretty because what you rebatched looked good to me! I don't care for the rebatch look but it's good to know the technique just in case. Thanks for a great tutorial!
Glad you made it in sister, Yeah it looked like you had marched a few miles in those boots!! I think your right - Phil is jealous of your boots, he would love a pair like that to wear with his cowboy hat!! He thought he was going to have Teach all to himself and rake in some gold stars.Susy's gone back home to test out her new sofa, Linda's re-batching already and Louise is trying to make m&p base. It's just you, me and Cynthia with her new shaver to keep Phil on his toes......
I will have to leave early to hold the ladder for the roofers and make them a cup of English tea with some biscuits - gets em every time, hehehe!!!!! xx
Great Video! I saw someone on yt turn rebatch soap into a m&p soap base...I googled it and couldn't fine anything on it. I'm going to send you the video. I am very curious about this method....could you help me? Louise
Thank You!! I've already been all over Phil. He can't win either way he goes. He is leaving comments from KangaKangaboi and Soap Deluxe one and the same. Very tricky. But I caught him and told him to be either one or the other. WOW sounds like all us girls have been busy. But one important thing at least we caught up with our studies and got to see the class. Most important!! Thanks for the comment now where I my razor oops I mean straight razor. OH Phil come here I got something for you.
Hey you should try those combat boots they are broken in and feel so comfortable. I know women are supposed to wear high heels and be feminine, but I have my other gemini side and tom boy comes through. Phil is just jealous he can't wear boots like mine instead he has to wear those duct taped shoes I fixed for him. Go get a gorgeous roofer I am with ya!! LOL
Errr Ummmmmm " But I am here so that's all that matters.xx" oh Phil get over yourself!! The sisters will wet themselves when they read that little comment. I have openly admitted that I've been up to no good the last couple of days, 'just checking' my leaking roof out!!! Aparently the REAL roofers are coming out tomorrow - so I will be using your bestest smelling soap in the shower hehehe!! A girl has to look and smell her best!! Wot have you done to upset Debby, why is she not in class ??
Look KangaKangaboi don't you hide behind the Soap Deluxe name to make it look like your getting away with this. I am on to you sonny boi (notice I didn't spell it boy). Yes I can spell. Anywho, are you accusing some of us of not caring. HUH!! We do care we said we would shave your face. Thats caring right? I think so?

I've done rebatch in the microwave, and it worked!
I'm gonna keep my eyes peeled for a lettuce shredder. It takes forever to grate and by the time I'm done I don't feel like rebatching anymore.
An old grating machine? Let me know what you are looking for and I will keep my eyes open on this side of the world.
I have tried this too. It is such a quick solution for small rebatches :)
Great Job Phil, you made it to class unlike me who had to miss class to get errands done. Your doing so good being on time.
A great project for kids to help with. No danger from lye. I give the grater to my 13 year old.
Thank you Catherine....I will watch that video again.

Rebatching is so easy just a bot time consuming :)

Ahh, Mr Suzy told me he likes the strong smellin' rebatched cherry blossom soaps the best!
You must have struggled to find some of your soap that wasn't pretty because what you rebatched looked good to me! I don't care for the rebatch look but it's good to know the technique just in case. Thanks for a great tutorial!
Does it help at all to rebatch soap that has become discolored?
Can you chip the old soap, and layer it in a new batch? I thought about that as a way to reduce waste.

Thank you for a great video. How is the best process to rewatch lye heavy?
I use a Disk-Mouli Graters that I find at thrift stores. Cheap, easy to clean and grate soap like crazy! :D
Are there benefits to skin in rebatched soap?
Excellent video! Informative. Thanks for doing this.
As long as you keep your beard out of the flames, you may want to rebatch your soaps with a double boiler.
I will have to leave early to hold the ladder for the roofers and make them a cup of English tea with some biscuits - gets em every time, hehehe!!!!! xx
It looked good
Absolutely, wonderful idea!
Thank you fir your great tutorial. I'm still trying to find one if those old grating machines, they're scarce as hens teeth out here, xx Linda
Heh best way to clean a crock pot cook soap
Would love to see a video on felted soap
Anyone have a link to rebatching with a saucepan & not a crockpot? Tx. MCC;)
great lesson, i love your classes!
Thanks for this! Best soap rematch vid I've seen. I can't wait for the salt bars! My fave next to milk bars.
Once again a super cool video!
You could use them as samples Phil, but I think your soap is great and you could use them to shave that fuzz off your face. Humm what an idea.

You are so sweet!

Where have you hidden the 'girls' this week? It is awfully quiet around here :)
Thank you very much.
Thank you :)
