  • Healing a broken heart is a deeply personal journey and varies widely from person to person. However, understanding the general timeline and stages of healing can be helpful.
Here’s a broad overview of the typical emotional healing process:
    5:29 1. Immediate Aftermath (1-2 weeks)
Shock and Denial: Right after a breakup, it's common to experience shock and denial.
You may feel numb or refuse to accept the reality of the situation.
Emotional Overwhelm: Intense feelings of sadness, anger, confusion, and even physical symptoms like insomnia and loss of appetite are common.
    7:44 2. Acute Grief (2 weeks - 3 months)
Intense Sadness: This period is marked by profound sadness and longing for the lost relationship. Crying, mood swings, indigestion lack of appetite and difficulty concentrating are typical.
Reflection: You may replay the relationship in your mind, thinking about what went wrong or how it could have been different.
    9:55 3. Reorganization (3-6 months)
Adjusting to Change: Gradually, you begin to adjust to life without your ex-partner. Daily routines become more manageable, and emotional responses become less intense.
Rediscovering Self: You start focusing on your own needs, interests, and goals. Social activities and hobbies can help in this phase.
    11:06 4. Recovery (6 months - 1 year)
Acceptance: Acceptance of the breakup and understanding that it was for the best becomes more profound. Emotional reactions are less frequent and less intense.
Building New Connections: You may begin to form new relationships or strengthen existing ones.
Self-confidence and optimism about the future grow.
12:00 5. Moving On (7 months -1 year and beyond)
Finding Peace: By this stage, thoughts of the ex-partner are less common and less painful.
The breakup feels like a part of your past rather than the center of your present life.
Emotional Independence: You feel emotionally independent and open to new experiences
and relationships without the baggage of the past.
If it's been over a year, seek professional help.
    15:35 # Conclusion
While the timeline can vary, these stages and tips provide a general framework for what to expect.
Remember that healing is not linear-there will be ups and downs, and it's important to be patient
and compassionate with yourself through the process.

It took me nine months to completely heal. We were together four years. Lots of inner work hours a day did it.

@@Flufero23 I hope you continue to be strong in your healing journey. We were together for three years and it’s going on six months healing. I think I’m almost over him.

Timeline seems very accurate for me so far! I'm 3 months in, and definitely out of the Acute Grief phase. I think the phases kind of overlap a little bit especially as one phase fades the next one starts to "take over", so to speak. So for the past month I've felt some acute grief but less and less, and have felt more and more of the "reorganization phase" kicking in! It's a very exciting time full of rediscovery and progress.

    great content Paz ~
    ✌🏽😎🇦🇺☀️🏄‍♂️💦
after the abrupt ending; I went straight into survivor mode.
took my a** to the gym (which I do anyway); every single day and trained more intensely; hung with my mates and got busy with my hobbies.
.. and then BANG … it hit me hard (some would label it post trauma).
went through the rollercoaster of emotions; lack of sleep and all that stuff.
11 year relationship, so 18 months on; life is definitely getting better, but now and again, those feelings sneak up like an SAS soldier behind enemy lines 🤫.
I haven’t moved on (no dating apps ~ I’m an analogue guy living in a digital world).
Like Diamond Dave sang in ~ Big Train ~ ; “always another train pulling into that station; and I’ll be smiling again..”
    Such is Life.

I refuse to cry over this person who's cheated, yeah I'm upset inside I'm hurting like hell, but I've avoided all vices and just worked out in the gym to channel the anxiety and pain she's caused me.. so I go home hug my children and make sure they are the most loved they have ever been
