04 G35 with true duals. Double-downshifting from 4th to 2nd with manual shift mode while coasting gives very noticeable crackle-pops. Happens easily if you've got your foot off the gas at the bottom of 4th when you downshift.
Downstream oxygen sensor removal, plung in the hole with a bung , keep the sensor connected and ziptie the sensor somewhere safe under the car for cold wind to hit it, you’re welcome. Proper way to do it works with muffler delete and delete the cat and resonators, or get a catback exhaust and leave the downstream oxygen sensor out of the exhaust youll be running rich but better then lean, just make sure you use good oil and synthetic additive to help it liquly molly to help with friction. High octane gas and heat reduction to keep everything cool. Doing all that backfire with no tune will produce more heat
Light gas taps multiple times while at that RPM range that pops for your car. You can look up “2014 accord backfire guide” which has different more camera angles which helped for me
I will never understand how this became a thing. As someone who owned and operated a speed shop building custom turbo kits etc, we used to spend so much time fine-tuning the maps to AVOID crackles and pops. Now people are trying to do it on purpose. Oh, and we would go through 2 or 3 iterations on custom exhausts in an effort to make them as quiet as possible while retaining good flow for max performance. Now kids cut everything off and go around making all kinds of noise in slow cars. It’s weird.
i have a 2019 infiniti q50 and it only has a muffler delete but i cant seem to get it to pop but when im downshifting from 2nd to 1st at low rpm (1500-2200 rpm) it pops for a second then goes away
I can't do it in my G37 either, the vq37 engine has a more complicated valve timing system that doesn't allow that much sloppiness in the fuel timing to let it burble without a tune

This thing already looks perfect but lowered it would be so clean
Yeah if it was lowered it’d look super good

Then it doesnt look perfect if there can be an improvement
it works. I do it in my sc400 all the time
Assuming your car ain’t tuned for real in this video what do you mean by lightly tap the gas? Like hold it lightly or press repeatedly lightly
Press repeatedly. For my car, it’s pressing tapping the gas pedal for like 2mm when the car is decelerating from 3k RPM to 2K RPM.
sometimes i would accidentally do it in my honda civic after i got the muffler deleted and didn’t know how i did it can’t wait to try for realizes

Off topic, but your car looks freaking awesome and super clean, but just lower it and it’ll be on 7/11 Instagram in no time.
are you holding the clutch down while you’re tapping the gas? Is it while still in the previous gear or are you in the next gear?
No. Current gear no clutch down.
