- We fully maxed out the exhaust pops on my straight piped BMW M2 and they were extremely loud!

Going from pop setting 3, to 6, and then all the way to 12 you get to see the differences in pop settings as well.. And all of them are LOUD! Just a tip: when you put it in neutral to rev it, put it in sport+ and click on your traction control butten once.
This gives my car insane loud pops nd bangs when standing still 😅

Doing this takes the car out of sport+ and puts you into MDM mode though.Sadly we can't drive with traction partially or fully off in any mode like the g42 m240i
Do you guys know if pops hurt the engine? I have a porsche cayenne 2008 i took it to someone to programme it for pops but my mechanic told me i should remove the pops bcz it hurts the engine

For sure! The rear diffuser is from autotecknic (bought through IND Distribution), the mirror caps are from IND Distribution, charge pipe is from VRSF, intercooler is from CSF and my intake is from Injen (absolutely love it). I got Darryl the Eventuri intakes for his car and those are pretty good too. The map is bootmod3 stage 2 91 octane

Hey! Sorry for the confusion bro, I was talking about if the pops are on the max setting like at the end of the video. Then they're bad. I have mine at 2.4 aggression normally and that's just fine!

Is it my imagination but as my M2 reaches 14K mi. is the exhaust system loosining up and producing more cracles and pops of it's own accord?
yea the exhaust wears in, and the interior drone effect also gets less over time
@@qna95B God, I hope so. That drone is annoying, especially when just cruisingm in traffic @ low RPM.
It''s possible, but I'm not too sure. I know if the drones bothering you, removing the active sound design helps a LOT with that
@@collectingms3803 We tqlked about that last year when you referred to a source for the adapter cable. Tried, but he was out of stock and didn't know if he was going to get more. I'll have to check before my fall oil change and checkup.

Sounds absolutely TERRIBLE… I had my m5 f90 sound very similar after a tune. I couldn’t even drive it it sounded so bad. Thank god I had it removed within a day lol

Allthough the M2 is a car I desire, this video pretty much shows that pops and bangs are just an expensive and annoying way to show how little you care about actual performance. Cool vehicles make pops and bangs naturally, and far, far less than any of this made up BS. It is just basically an ad lip for the car. Anyway, other people may like this as a nice detail, and that is okay too. I would have my M2 without any of this
