After 375 hours, I finally found a Legendary Ship in Starfield

- I was cruising around the galaxy looking for inspiration for my next ship build when I saw a ship indicator in the SOL system that I had never seen before. Turns out, it was a Legendary Ship! I decided to take it on......
and as Nuke's Top 5 always says... It did not go well.
There was a LOT of running away in this fight, so be warned. - เกม

Unfortunately you cannot board the legendary ships in this game
@@TeamScorpioRI Damn. That was some very serious PB damage you were putting out. I will have to do some serious upgrades to my weapon load out to even put a scratch on one of those,
PB weapons are the best, and I maxed that skill out. Damages hull and shields, so no need to switch between lasers (for shields) and ballistics (for hull). My normal set up is 4 PB-175's and 4 PBO-175 (mapped to my left and right mouse buttons). Just hold them down and watch things just melt. Stick a set of PBO-300 Auto Turrets on your 3rd slot and you are good to go.
I've been playing around with the Obliterator's as well. A little less DPS than the PBO's, but you can mount 6 of them on a ship.

The Ecliptic has been the only one I've found so far.
At the time, my max reactor was like 30 and I hadn't unlocked the best shields and the Vanguard particle cannons yet.
Took me around 20 minutes of juggling energy, strafing and running away but I finally got him.
Took some epic screenshots of it too - showing how much bigger that thing was than my little light freighter. (It WAS actually my Millenium Falcon clone and the hunk-a-junk managed to do the job)
Nice job. These are scary fights the first time you go against them. They have some serious firepower on them. I only hope that a DLC will let us actually board them (There is a mod out there that lets you build these.. that could be fun)
What was my favorite rag doll…can’t pick just one they all were hilarious. I’ve been getting some awesome Trackers Alliance gear. Have you been to Maheo the sister planet of Cheyanne…when I scanned it a location came up that said structural…landed there has a persons name for the location…full of pirates and very lavish. Great video and here’s a few for the rag dolls 😂😂😂😂
I took down the spacer and varruun ships with the frontier (modded class A). It was easier staying out of their weapons range and manually targeting them after the escorts were down. On normal, but still felt good.
With the frontier?? Damn.. That's impressive!
@@TeamScorpioRI only mods I did were particle, laser, missiles, grav, reactor. Everything else was stock. I died twice on the spacer, 1st on the varruun. I found strafing helped a lot. I could circle around it and avoid some fire. I was in the red though. A lot of ship parts.
Still impressive. I was thankful I had stocked up on ship parts as well. I was hitting "O" every few seconds, it felt like.

It definitely was the most intense battle I have had in the game, so far.
Wow 500 hours in and I didn’t know about these legendary ships yet. Only the UC one I’ve seen for the crimson fleet missions.
They can be rare, especially if you are not looking for them.
Ok. I saw that thing and was flying a gimpy Class A and jumped out. I figured it was always in orbit there and would be part of a mission later, not a random encounter.
Good thing you jumped out! Though taking that on in a gimpy class A could be a fun challenge.
Just took out the Blattodea spacer scavenger, It would not let me board it however I did board one of the three support ships and received 18000 off of it and 6416 credits for the Blattodea.

I might of encountered one of them twice. But when i got near them they warned me if i dont leave theyll fire. It wasnt the ecliptic though
I am really curious on how hard the other ships are.
@TeamScorpioRI hopefully if I have another encounter I'll remember to record. Hopefully 4 minutes is enough lol.
The Camulus is a tough one. The easiest of the three is the Spacer ship. Good luck when you encounter the Shroudbearer. I died multiple times before defeating it.
That Va'Ruun ship just looks nasty. I bet its a beast of a fight.
@@TeamScorpioRI I play on hard so those plasma bolts hit like trucks. All of the M class cruisers only seem to vary in difficulty when not on normal mode though. They were all equally easy to kill in normal mode.
I found the Va ruun Shroudbearer last night it wasn,t an easy fight . Wish you could board and capture !
I'd love to be able to capture those ships. Though I think it would be a little too OP. But if the challenge is great enough, the reward should be as well.

I've fought the blattodea & escort, no chance even in my class c with two particle turrets. It was very hard setting though or at least hard.
Next time i'll do what one commenter suggested here, lead away the escorts to destroy them separately first!
Pulling those escorts are definitely key. That main ship does enough damage on its own without the other 2 hanging around.
@@TeamScorpioRI you obviously have way better armaments & probably ship system perks that i don't. The way that first escort went down was hilarious!
@@skyriminspace I run 4 PB-175's and 4 PBO-175's on my ships. Those together will tear through most ships. My favorite is when they warp in right into my line of sight... It's like "Thank you for making this easy".
found the Va'ruun but waaaay to weak to even think about it
From what I have heard, that is the hardest ship currently in the game
Take out the escort ships then get close in behind the legendary ship right up against its engines
This will negate most of its weapons

You need the most powerful turrets you can stick on your ship, those lasers just rip through your shields. You just gotta keep on hit and running till all the other ships are gone. Yeah I went through a ton of ship parts also, the first time I tried I only had five ship parts so it didn't end well 🙂. I just started a NG and fir some reason I've found all of theses ships. I haven't taken on any yet this play through, still using a fast fighter. Need an endgame class C kinda ship for those guys. I usually will put six or seven turrets on my end game ship to fight those big ships. Four of the ones your using and three of those really powerful ones that shoot slow but hit the hardest.
Speed is definitely the king for these encounters. I'll probably work on a fighter style build using the White Dwarf 3015's and a combination of the PB300 and Obliterator 250MeV Turrets. Could be a fun ship to fly if I can keep the mobility in check (aka.. no cargo).
Once you find the ship on the playthough, does it stay in the same location? Or are they only there for a limited amount of time and move on.
@@TeamScorpioRI I believe it does, I haven't tested that theory yet though. You can your big class c ship to run fast enough, some big b engines and Sam Cole or Amelia with you. I tried doing that ship with a fast class b fighter and I eventually won but I went through so many ship parts with a hull under 800. If you want some fun take your fast fighter to the pirate space station and poke them, you'll get attacked by 20 plus ships, but having a fast ship pays off there, just hit and run, hit and run.
NG+1 encountered Camulus and Spacer one in same system... that was interesting. But they are not that rare.
Damn.. what would be worse is if they were together. Now that would suck. As for rarity, this is my first one in 375 hours and NG+4. I even spent one life traveling to every system and trying to survey every planet (not 100% but at least find them). This was my first one.. so definitely rare on my game.
I beat that ship with a modified claymore take out the small ships 1st stay away from the large ship after small ships are destroyed attack the large bastard by staying right on it ass behind it boom game over claymore mass 1241 shield 2700 reactor 40. PAR 94 EM 1 TURRETS 297 .
Manual weapon W0 PB-300 Alpha Beam 2 of those. W1 Tatsu 501EM Suppressor 1 of them and W2 Obliterator 250MeV Alpha Turrets 3 of those 2 facing forward 1 back. 4 Engines White Dwarf 3015 engine
With the landing bay underneath the bridge easy access 2112 cargo 240 shielded very good speed also no glitches were used proud of my ship also have another modified clay more with all obliterators and double the cargo 4100 no glitches used reactor 41 shield 2880 W0 61 W1 1 W2 297 just recently started playing the game can’t wait to try some of these glitches!!! Nice!! Claymores are probably the best ship in the game, even unmodded. Modded out I am sure it is a beast of a ship! To bad we don't have a special PvP server for ship battles. It would be awesome to be able to go against other builds. I have a feeling with those White Dwarf's on your ship, you will just run circles around me. lol (though it would be interesting to see how it would do against my ShroudTerror build).

Maybe not sporting but could you get right in behind it to be in its weapon shadow and tank the damage from the small ones?

Can you board these ships at all, claim them as your own?
Not sure. I think you may be able to board them, but I know you cannot fly them at all. At least from what I have seen online. Maybe the next time I find one I will test the theory. I need a faster ship though.

I think I have fought four but that’s also in a couple new game pluses so I thought the same ones a couple of times I only wish I could board the ship taking it would be better but you know it’s a class M but I wish I could board the ship and do some looting
I would love to be able to at least board them. I can understand not being able to fly them, but we should be able to hop on board.
You can damage it , jump to another system get more ship parts repair and jump back it will still be . Keep doing this till you distroy it .

Unfortunately no. You cannot board or fly these ships... at least not with mods to the game
I’ll play on Xbox and was lucky enough to encounter all the legendary ships and destroy them all.
I also used up a lot of ship parts in doing so.

You gotta get those white dwarf engines. Too slow
Those would kill my mobility. This ship has some decent cargo, as it is my general purpose ship. Even with the SAL68830's I am sitting around 75-80 mobility. The White Dwarf 3015's would probably drop that down to 0.
What is that armour it’s sick
On my character? Its the operative suit from the Ryujin questline. Awesome for stealth/sniper builds.

secret FACT, the internet wants to make you think that the game is dead, yet, everyday there are new vids of this game , everyday people are talking about things in this game on reddit and everyday haters are making vids of how this game "flopped", well, that's too much commotion for an apparently dead game, isn't it??
When I fought this battleship, they gave me a verbal warning to stay away, then they started firing at me at 4k meters. Why didn't they start firing on you before you started firing?
No Idea. I heard that it was supposed to give you warnings as well. And Ecliptic are normally hostile. Maybe they have heard of me, and knew to stay away... I am kind of a big deal, I have many leather bound books.. and my ship smells of rich mahogany . lol (Anchorman reference)

On my 2nd life, I went hunting for one.. hit up every system. Never found any.. this one was on NG4, and just sitting over in the Sol system. Now I want to find them all
@@TeamScorpioRI I wonder, if it only triggers, once you reach a certain level and ng+. I also wonder, how many of theses legendary ships are there, so far Ive found the Ecliptic and Crimson Fleet one
@@amitansurkar1769 Not sure on the triggers, but I do know there are 3 ships. The Ecliptic one, the Spacer one, and one from VaRuun.

This is why I hate the game can't take these ship or take abandoned sites on planets. It makes no sense.
I can understand not taking these ships. They would be a bit overpowered if you could fly one of these. It would be cool if we could claim an abandoned site on a planet and use that to build up a base.
You do realize that you coulda stole that ship had you knocked out the engines first and then docked with it. Yes i encountered this ship too same area and they warn you if you get close they will kill you and they do lol

While it is a capital ship, it is not a legendary encounter. There are only 3 of those in the game... so far.
