"Docker into armory" has always been a favorite of mine, since boarding is the only time I might want to switch to Space-Adept weapons. Since some Ecliptic ships are almost the same, I guess they came to the same conclusion.
Hope you enjoy it. Its a tough little ship. Not much in the way of cargo, though. You can add more, but you will lose mobility (which really affects acceleration).
Still watching, but have to say: Nice explanation of the glitching technique! 👍 *Have you seen the guy make a full, flyable ship in a 1x1 config. Very glitchy on the inside of course, and docker is non-functional, but it's flyable. Amazing if only for the novelty.
I haven't seen that one. I have seen "The Frog" on Reddit though. It uses the Cabot Bridge, one singe 1x1 hab.. But everything is glitched inside so it has like 14k cargo, 6 SAL engines, and a bunch of other stuff. Its a crazy glitch build. I still haven't got that technique for glitching one piece into another by duplicating it.
@@TeamScorpioRI Oh - That sounds pretty cool. Yeah, the "one on top of another" definitely takes a minute to get your head around - and some practice. (It's basically duplication and blocking open paths of duplications to force one into another.) I couldn't fully reproduce that dude's 1x1. *I thought I did, but I couldn't enter the ship. LoL Cheers! Have a great weekend
Quite the big boi. But definitely sleek and powerful. Though not a big fan of the glitched hidden cockpit. But i guess the currently available options would mess up the sleek lines too much.
Thanks! Yeah, with the way cockpits are configured (only one entry point on the horizonal axis), ships need to be 1/3/5 spaces wide, but the sleek style nose on this ship is only 2 spaces. Exposing the cockpit makes it offset. visually. I'd love for them to do a variation on some of the cockpits that would have 2 hookpoints horizontally. This would solve the issue. Cockpits like the Cabot or the Ares would be perfect for that.
Hay bub nice ship. And when you put the obliteraters on the bottom and needed to remove the part. When you install it back you don't have to flip through all the different orientations. I'm not sure what it is for you but for me on the D-pad I can cycle right or left to the striped variant and then back. Two moves vs 4
@TeamScorpioRI I do like the gold and copper accents. Hay have you seen the fractional glitching technique? I sent you a comment with a video attached somewhere on here. It's actually kinda neat.
Hey Scorpio love your ship desings have used most of them in different playthroughs. Did you you know that you can change the rotate speed for buildings and decorations in the options menu.
Nice design! I really like the look of it. I personally like your designs more that are less glitchy, especially with the cockpit, but I get that creating such a clean look is almost impossible without at least some glitched parts. Good video as always. 🙂👍
Yeah, this one definitely needed that cockpit glitches in. I wish we had cockpits that were 2 spaces wide. Would make designing some of these ships easier.
thank you for the in depth guide... i just starting to play starfield and this video is very useful for starters... a question, how do you select more than 1 part and drag it together?
Definitely not a beginner ship. My Vengeance models, or my Valkyrie build would be a little better for a beginner. I am also toying with the idea of doing a low level ship build on a new character, with only one rank in some skills.
Sam coe is the best companion character, hands-down he’s got a great personality and as a father Cora doesn’t really bother me, but yeah, best companion in the whole game and really kick ass ship. You built there Scorpio. Hey Scorpio, I know it’s not usually your thing but I have to ask. Do you have pet dinosaurs by your landing pad? I keep seeing a barn with dinosaurs in it and then often wondered how you did that.
Thanks, Matt! Its an interesting ship. I just wish we had a 2 space wide bridge. I'd love if Taiyo did something 2 spaces wide (kinda like the Cabot bridge).
@@TeamScorpioRI yes that would be dope. Yeah, I noticed that Tayo and shroud are both very limited in their cockpit design. Also, where do you get a barn full of dinosaurs? I see them in every video you build when you’re outside your ship.
I want to be able to fly the ship in first person, so hiding the cockpit inside the ship is no option. The interior of the cockpit also looks bugged, when a structural piece is glitched over it.
It is definitely a 3rd person ship. In order to make this a 3rd person ship and expose that cockpit (while keeping symmetry), you would need to widen the ship by one unit (since they don't give us a 2 space cockpit). This does require some heavy modifications to the build (I had to drop a few pieces, change the position of the grav drive and fuel tanks, plus other things). It changes the shape of the ship quite a bit too.... If you want a first person fighter style ship, you can check out my Valkyrie build. Its an older build, but still stands up. Uses the Deimos Aries Bridge as a cockpit and mostly Deimos parts.
Yeah, I went for a rock/metal theme on this one. Figured it was a good theme for a ship I named "terror". lol... I usually switch it up between videos depending on the theme/mood. My hopetech "trucker" build I used country, while my "cruise ship" build I used some reggae. It all depends on how I am feeling that day.
Hmmm It's not really a true Class C ship as you've used Class A engines & a Class B grav drive. It would also be completely useless to anyone who plays 1st person due to the buried cockpit & its completely obscured windows On the other hand for a fast 202, mobility 100, 12,000+ cargo including shielded & the best jammer (98% scan evasion) 12 crew, 18 passengers), lethal weaponry (doesn't lose, not even against all the ships at the key or legendary ships) Is very quick turning, luxurious interior, easy to get to bay & docker from cockpit, workshop & infirmary close to cockpit, bay & docker. No annoying ladders, very easy to find my way around without having to navigate a rabbit warren like maze of ladders & habs What's the ship??? This one 👇 th-cam.com/video/cSLrY_5Nfh4/w-d-xo.html
@@TeamScorpioRI The Class is determined by the reactor. However in addition Class C by design are the heavyweights with heavy hauling capabilities with the inate ability to be a jack of all trades, be it cargo, multiple passengers, extreme combat & the ability to do everything at the same time My Frontier, renamed the DJ Suzi B after my girlfriend who died last October has a Class C reactor yet I still consider it to be a Class B ship as both the engines & grav drive are Class B &; it unable to do what a Class C ship can do with regards to cargo & passenger capacity, although the cargo capacity is still in excess of 4,000, much less than half that of a full size Class C ship Full size Class C ships also make the logistics of passenger & cargo transportation financially lucrative, more lucrative than entering some facility to dispose of something like a Spacer Myth, even more so if several space battles are entered into & the wreck salvaged, soom adds up to tens of thousands of Credits in a very short time Having a Class C ship isn't therefore just about the reactor class, it's also about the ship's capabilities, all of my Class C ships are easily capable of fulfilling a contract to supply 5,000 of copper/iron etc in a single journey, whilst transporting 12+ passengers & a couple of smaller cargos earning plenty of Credits in the process
As the game classifies it, this is a Class C ship. Ship class in the game is based on your reactor type, not the function or sum of the parts. I did originally build this with a class B reactor, but I was then limited in weapons and shield choice (the Assurance shield is Class C, as are the PBO-300s). So I upped the reactor class in order to put on the best auto turrets and strongest shield in the game. You can call it what you will, but as far as the game and build requirements go, this is a Class C ship.

I usually do either the docker or the lander with the armory attached (depending on the theme of the ship). To me it makes sense.
Love your builds..I'm doing this one right now at Stroud

I always forget that those pieces have variants vs flips. Definitely easier to do the variant. Great tip
@TeamScorpioRI don't worry, you're not alone. I still forget as well. I just wanted to make sure you knew.
Honestly it depends on the build. Different colors can complement different builds but my favorite main colors I normally use is greens and blues.
I always gravitate towards whites, blacks, and greys (with the occasional gold). Kind of like my wardrobe, lol
