The funny thing is, Beethoven has a talent to make things sound absolutely difficult, while they really arent. You can believe me or not, but if you practiced your arpeggios and chords as a child, this is a piece of cake. The Main theme are two notes in the left hand and plain arpeggios. If you look at it separately, I practice these arpeggios with my piano pupils, when they are 9/10 years old. Because a C#-minor arpeggio is maybe 5% more difficult than a C-Major Arpeggio. There are like 3-4 parts in this part which are difficult, 1) 1:07 and the a bit more difficult "same" part at 5:07 2) 0:18 is quite difficult as well to get it really clean. 3) the whole next two pages starting at 3:28 because you switch the melody to the left hand and I find it difficult to concentrate that the left hand is louder than the right hand, so you hear the melody. You have to try to rationalize a piece. Of course you cant expect to play this piece right from the sheet and you should have some basics down, but In my opinion difficulty of a piece is a state of mind. Dont look at the whole piece, look at a page and start working on it. If you learned the sonatas "system" which beethoven sonatas tend to have, you learn the next pages much much faster, you can even keep the fingering at a lot of parts. Just in comparrison, Chopins Ballade No.1 is much MUCH more difficult, because there are less parts which repeat itself, even tho the piece is pretty slow 50% of the time. In general Chopin is much much harder than Beethoven. Beethoven composed systematically, not so much as Mozart, Beethoven was the beginning of the romantic epoch, so you'll hear a bit more variety by him. and please please, dont think I wanna downgrade Beethovens or Mozarts achievements, Im just saying you can see almost a mathematical precision in their compositions, while Chopin composed more "freely".
Truth! If your metronome is set to 50 or 80, this is one case. Playing the whole piece at 155-160 is not an easy task! The left hand should be trained additionally to maintain a high pace in most episodes. I do not intend to complicate the sonata, but the apparent simplicity only adds to the solemn charm at high speed

iTzYoBoySupreme go for it. I believe in you. The human mind can accomplish anything you put it to, as long as you continue to believe In yourself. Only when you truly believe those other minds that say you can't, that is when it will fail. Stay true to yourself and your goals/dreams, and never give up until it happens.
It isn't actually that hard. Most are just chords... The only difficult thing is getting up to this tempo. To play this at lets say 3/4 of the speed is fairly easy.
It tooks me one year and a half to play this movement at the tempo of 140bpm (~85% full speed). It's not too hard as I've though, I just separated it into smaller pieces and practiced with very slow speed but full of accuracy and concentration. Sometimes, there're parts that are really hard to be played (the trills above an octave at 0:490:51 I have no idea how to solve them) but all in all, I've mastered most of the whole peace. Forget that obsessed speed, focus on the technique, the accent, the dynamic and control the fingers, I think that the best way to deal with this song!
I can actually play it an honestly it’s easy, just learn the notes then learn how to play faster and faster because what people don’t notice is the notes are in an octive pattern, meaning that every octive played where its scaling up is I. The same pattern
yeah, then again, I start thinking of john newlands who proposed the law of octaves in the periodic table everytime i listen to this piece. Your also quite right about that. I noticed it quite a long time back.
Edward Andrei I’m assuming you know the octive pattern of A flat, D flat, E then because even my piano teacher didn’t realize the octive pattern that all of moonlight sonata (1,2,3 movements) have with that pattern repeating
There is still good music being produced. Maybe Work Work Work is not for you, in its own way its stil art even if i dont like it. Its music after all.
Moonlight Sonata was also the literal theme song to a case in Detective Conan (Case Closed). . . although, I believe they only used the 1st movement in the anime adaptation, if I remember correctly. . .
Yep they only used the first movement in the scene depicting the pianist playing in the burning building in case closed. Also, they did indeed have this in your lie in April. So glad that someone else remembered le vent d'hiver (winter wind) being featured as well though :)

Daniel Kasapov basically.... Math
One day near the future of my life I will soon accomplish playing the music.
iTzYoBoySupreme no you wont
Don't start with this
iTzYoBoySupreme go for it.
To play this at lets say 3/4 of the speed is fairly easy.
iTzYoBoySupreme did you learn it yet?
It tooks me one year and a half to play this movement at the tempo of 140bpm (~85% full speed). It's not too hard as I've though, I just separated it into smaller pieces and practiced with very slow speed but full of accuracy and concentration. Sometimes, there're parts that are really hard to be played (the trills above an octave at 0:49 0:51 I have no idea how to solve them) but all in all, I've mastered most of the whole peace. Forget that obsessed speed, focus on the technique, the accent, the dynamic and control the fingers, I think that the best way to deal with this song!
In 7th grade, i met a girl who played this this 3rd movement perfectly, it made me fall *madly* in
I can actually play it an honestly it’s easy, just learn the notes then learn how to play faster and faster because what people don’t notice is the notes are in an octive pattern, meaning that every octive played where its scaling up is I. The same pattern
yeah, then again, I start thinking of john newlands who proposed the law of octaves in the periodic table everytime i listen to this piece. Your also quite right about that. I noticed it quite a long time back.
No shit Sherlock
Edward Andrei I’m assuming you know the octive pattern of A flat, D flat, E then because even my piano teacher didn’t realize the octive pattern that all of moonlight sonata (1,2,3 movements) have with that pattern repeating
Tyler , literally the simplifed version...
that's for people who know what octave is
You know what’s crazy? This is actually possible.
When music was still an art...
It still is.
Garegos with this trash work work work work by rihanna and all those other ridiculous songs that r coming out nowadays?
If it still is an art then I think it's not for everyone
There is still good music being produced. Maybe Work Work Work is not for you, in its own way its stil art even if i dont like it. Its music after all.
Daniel Sánchez i may sound like a weeb. But some recent anime have had music that, although don't always sound like this, are true masterpeices.
our most close approach to the heavens. truly inspirational
You know what makes me keep hitting that replay button, other than the epic music? The Beethoven at the thumbnail. A+ on that and the music bro👏🏻
LIFE: *No deaf man can play piano*
Beethoven: Hold my beer
Still trying to open a water bottle...
I'm going to try to learn this and hope it won't sound like a boy having intense voice cracks...
I'm obsessed with this piece of music.
This best tutorial ever

My favorite lullaby ❤
Goosebump!!
When Beethoven did this I feel like he just rages on the piano and did this 😂
Now i know what song was played in Your Lie in April
Actually I think you're referring to Winters Wind by Frederic Chopin maybe?
Christian well, refer to the first episode, this indeed appeared😂
Moonlight Sonata was also the literal theme song to a case in Detective Conan (Case Closed). . . although, I believe they only used the 1st movement in the anime adaptation, if I remember correctly. . .
Yep they only used the first movement in the scene depicting the pianist playing in the burning building in case closed. Also, they did indeed have this in your lie in April. So glad that someone else remembered le vent d'hiver (winter wind) being featured as well though :)
Sanspai Gaming saaaaaaaaame
Took me 2 months but I can play at tempo now
Landon webb this song pretty much repeats itself over and over so it’s easy
Landon webb holy shit
this tempo is "playable", the tempo at which Mozard played is unplayable
mordredd What do you even talk about?
Thinh Phan That's what a sonata is about. Furthermore, it is a piece and not a song.
Best be sonata composition I have ever heard. I have been listening to this for years now
Sounds boss dude you really nailed it
Me before I watch this video: "Im amazing at Piano!"
Me after: *crickets chirp* "What the actual hell?"
Sounds similar to the castle theme in Super Mario World
This song was so good it made me *deaf*

Tomatonini OMFG AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO UNDERSTOOD THAT

Haha. Damn. It's out of my reach... for now! :P
But in near future you'll see one of the advanced Chopin pieces played by me. ;)
Toms Mucenieks YAAAAAAY :D
Toms Mucenieks Umm...... La Campanella is NOT a Chopin piece. It’s composers were Liszt and Paganini.
It's so easy
