A lot of comments make light of the Z's 125 hp rating. I have a '22 Z 900 with just a slip on and this 4 cylinder is an amazingly torque laden engine. I've taken off from a dead stop in 5th and it pulled away cleanly. And, it gets with the program thru the gears. Smoother than any bike engine I've ever witnessed. I have a new GSXS1000GT rated at 152 hp and I can definitely attest to the Z being stronger everywhere in power output. The Z runs 36mm throttle bodies. Most other 1000's have 44's. I continuously get 46 mpg. Low on tech, which I like and it's in my house through Idaho's icy winters. It is an amazing machine.
Too funny! I'm eyeing the 25 Z900 as a 2nd bike to my modified GSXS1000GT+. I have a full exhaust, air filter, and dyno tune and went from 133 wheel to 150. I'm also installing current gen Hayabusa Brembo Stylema calipers, a Nissin 16mm radial master, and a Nitron R3 shock. Can't wait to see what a real front brake and rear shock do for the bike.
@@Stclairm1 I made a comment to you, but it didn't get posted. Up the Power Kawasaki.121hp for 950cc inline four is less. Honda is now giving 152 hp with their 1000. Street triple doing 130s with a 765.Give it the beans. Specially at the top end. Increase the rev limit to 13000-14000 atleast.
The Honda is a detuned CBR1000rr engine. Of course it's gonna have more power. The Z900 engine has been around for decades. Kawasaki has been tweaking it as the years go on.
When did the 765 make 130’s hp?! It’s definitely not stock if so. This motor makes it extra CC’s from having a longer stroke, which is not for top end performance.
I think their aim is to give a quick acceleration and a puncy midrange for a naked and not a high revving sports bike like character, keeping the rev ceiling at 13 or 14k rpm may not give the character that it currently has.
So many little whiny kids in the comment section lmao, why can't you guys just enjoy a launch video, these designs always grow on you give it some time
