Marianna is a real gem, this woman is so underrated, she risk her lives talking to criminals just to expose the Truth. I love you so much maam

I feel a lot rage for the pimps that threaten the young women with extreme violence or death threats. I hope the girl build up the courage to fight back with any means possible. After watching this I can see why some males do this to survive, no prospects for a good job, broken family ties, no real education to go anywhere with their lives. Live with the live & let live or live & let die, kill or be killed code !
With all the nitty gritty that Mariana has gotten into in the name of journalism, I was expecting her to put on a wig, bright lipstick, and some heels for a real closeup of the streets. 🤣
i swear this lady looks like some CIA agent undercover of course people freaked out when they see her 😭 just look at the way she ask questions at 12:21 that sounds suspicious af especially the "why?"
The best way to treat this problem is as a human trafficking issue, not a prostitution issue. Let the girls know that there is a way out for them that does not blame or punish them, but instead will give them a much better life.
*I promise you the woman who said “daddy issues” is right. I’ve seen it with my own eyes. Heard an explanation from an actual pimped prostitute and it was very clearly daddy issues.* Also be careful out there, someone tried to traffic me at Denny’s 😂

Do not give them any excuses. Yes as a person of color life is harder that is absolutely a fact. However you can still do the honorable thing and get a good job or create an opportunity for yourself. There are plenty of opportunities in this world.
Whats nedded to be mentioned is the availability of illicit means to amp up desires numbingly on both sides buyer /selker as well. The after effect is apoarently also hortific distrust and disgust in onesself and opposite genders in some
I don't like them putting pimps and Drug traffickers in hockey masks like that. Jason Voorhees wears a mask like that as a serial killer, so don't insult him by putting pimps and traffickers in his mask!
I love this series. I gotta say though, protecting the identity of the founder of Special Operations, and then saying she founded a very specific organization defeats the purpose :\
and they're just now realizing that the victims trafficked aren't the ones who should go to jail? they just realized they need to go after the traffickers?
I hadn't heard that was happening, but in other documentaries or reports I've seen on this topic it NEVER mentioned this...I'm 100% with you on this though. Why would the person who was taken & trafficked for their organ get jailed!! 🤔 That is some sick system we live under.
First of all, thank you Mariana, you're the best. Then, those Pimps all belong in jail. They do nothing and still keep the most money to themselves. Scaly on whole other level.
34:42 The woman who was interviewed doesn't have their identity protected. Whats even crazier is that Google was showing that i wasn't the first person looking *Jinney*
The society has certain lines/areas/geography that people from different social classes do NOT cross... Wow, such a profound thought to take away from this well done documentary. It's more visible in LA, I personally felt it when traveling/living there for 6 mths. Just a street away, I was in an affluent open community neighborhood, but the homeless & drugged up people just wouldn't (dare) to cross the street into the community. Growing up in Manhattan, it's less visible & hardly felt so, unless you enter the Upper East Side. I moved outta LA after 6 mths. Really didn't feel safe nor like it. Hollywood & pop culture paints much a nice image of the city, but the harsh contrast of the wealthy vs the poverty, the fortunes vs the misfortunes, was too much to bear for my conscious.

Stop saying it's difficult to charge them. It is against the law to report trafficking as at a police station on a report, at least in Chicago. I have proof of this, that it's against the law. Americans failed us.
Ok prove it. What Law in Chicago states that reporting trafficking at a police station is a crime....you said you have proof. All we need to do is look up that Law but we need the code, every Law has a code so it can be looked up.(I'm assuming that's why,if I'm wrong, someone please correct me)...
