- It's a story that plays out night after night. Women and girls are being sold for sex on the streets of Sacramento.
Drivers might not know it while passing by, but many of the victims are being watched by traffickers who will later take their money and threaten them with violence.
It's a problem everyone wants to fix, but not everyone agrees on how.

Congratulations on a job well done, KCRA and also the team that is continuing to fight against child trafficking. True journalism is bringing issues to the public, and uncovering shady politicians. Many of our social systems, like the foster system, etc. are broken, and need the spotlight put on them, and resources to be able to help the youth who are struggling with life. This is a sad fact, and as adults, it is our responsibility to make a difference however we can to help improve their chances of becoming a healthy, productive, successful person.

The officers in the beginning of this video need training on how to interact with victims. Their demeanor was abusive, accusatory and controlling. I'm disgusted. This is not a great introduction to a very informative video and the people whom are really helping.

The interstate highway system in California has made it so easy for traffickers to exploit children a good friend of mine in Redding had one of her daughters taken to Sacramento for trafficking she was able to hire a private investigator to find her daughter, who is now home safely in Redding now a mommy to 2 children ❤😊

This was weird to watch. I live in Oak Park (Broadway and Stockton) and I voted for Jim Cooper, and I recognize that detective, but after that, I've never noticed this type of crime. Seriously, I haven't seen a prostitute here in decades. I'm more baffled that this turned into a problem between political parties, and it feels off. It is down right scary that the pimps or traffickers don't serve a full prison sentence; that is very strange. That needs to be fixed, geez! Taking the cars away from the tricks worked really well to kill prostitution here. Use your car to commit a crime and you lose it. Prostitutes used to stroll here decades ago, but since the internet and cell phones became wide spread, they just disappeared. If you asked me what I thought was the biggest problem in Sacramento, I would have said drugs and homeless people. Still, the twisted part of this is that it became a political issue, and it's an election year, and I haven't seen a prostitute here in decades.

Wrong. When Trump was in office he imprisoned some of the main cartels doing this and reduced human trafficking by over 35% in his first year of office.
Adults who consent to adult entertainment with other adults for money should be the only ones able to indulge if they go about it the right way. Allow women to register with the state and monitored if that’s what they want to do. However, walking the streets or blatantly hooking up with someone just for the sake of getting paid for a buss down will always be. Yall can’t end something that’s existed for 1,000 of years. A lot of those minors willingly walk up to those people and want to hustle. Not all are kidnapped in those situations. Sad but if two consensual adults are willing it shouldn’t be a crime.
