[Arcade1Up] Terminator 2 Full Playthrough/Guide [Good Ending]

- This is a full playthrough of the Arcade version of Terminator 2 played through the Arcade1Up. I go through some tips for each level, how to get lots of points, how to get through the dreaded helicopter stage, and how to get the good ending.

I used to old a really old full sized arcade shooting game (from the 1960s I think) called "Moon Shot Rifle" when I was younger, think it was made by Bally Midway. They actually manufactured these games with an actual Remington rifle!
That’s really cool, hard to compete with original parts back in the days, these new stuff just don’t compare.

As for the game's good ending, not many thought about this at the time (because we all thought that the end of T2 was the end of the franchise) but this ending is considered not canonical, because in Terminator 3, the T-850 tells John that Cyberdyne's destruction only delayed the development of Skynet instead of stopping it entirely.
Personally, I think they should have stopped at Terminator 2. Terminator 3 was unnecessary and Terminator Dark Fate was stupid. The whole point of the Terminator series was to keep John Connor alive, not kill him in the first few minutes.
It's cannon to me, Every terminator movie after 2 is just deranged stuff flashing through the minds of t1000 and t800 as they get melted.
If destroying Cyberdyne only delayed Skynet's creation, then going back in time to kill John Connor was also irrelevant because the Human Resistance would still occur, just with someone else leading. So if you can't stop Skynet from existing, you also can't stop the Human Resistance.
I've been trying to stop the helicopter from destroying the truck for over an hour. This part is dam near impossible for me. You are a total bad ass at this game💪
I used both guns at the same time to beat that part. Its not cheating because a T-800 would of grabbed another gun if it was available haha
Check your distance from the screen, it might be a tracking issue, there is a sweet spot that is very responsive, too close or too far and you might see a lot of lag. Hope this helps!

Good play through! Mine gets delivered on Friday. Picked it up from Best Buy for $299 yesterday. I hope they have the audio issues fixed by now.

How did you manage to capture the video? Did you use geekworm + el gato? If so, which version of geekworm did you use?
I just used a tripod and a camera 😂 that’s why you see my hand in the frame sometimes
Great playthrough. Do missiles help with that dreaded helicopter stage? Or are they too slow to get a hit?
if you mean the technical stage with the chasing HKs, yeah the missiles help take out the hks, other wise you gotta stun lock them through the cycle. In the helicopter chasing armored car level, the shotgun blasts help since one hit will cause the chopper to retreat instead of a short burst. Either way it helps, Good luck!
This game is way too hard. I’m surprised A1UP didn’t add some sort of assist for level 6. Rage-inducing. Can’t even finish this game for me it ends on Level 6 for me basically.
They wanted your quarters bad! Two fist it and it’s much easier though 😉

Did you find the gameplay smooth? Any fps drops or sound stuttering?

Hey, so everyone that comes over wants to play this cab, and I've never heard them complain about it (complain about the chopper level though haha). As for the latency, if you can find the sweet spot in distance from the cab, the tracking is on point.
I can usually beat the truck stage in a few tries, but the helicopter is the stuff of nightmares, haven't been able to beat it without using both guns!
Yeah that chopper level is tough! I show a couple tricks to help but with a single gun it’s mostly up to chance
You have to be very quick at shooting the chopper. And when the t-1000 gets in the liquid water truck keep on shooting the front of it constantly.
seeing the menu screen, i wonder how many arcades in the day had this cranked up to highest/hardest settings lol

Why does the game say to “press start “ at random times during gameplay ? Is that normal ? Seems odd to be in the middle of action and that message to pop up
It’s not random, it means you died and you need to continue by pressing start to add a new credit :)

Hey, just set mine up and advanced to the 2nd level. Powered machine off, returned to it and powered back on and I am unable to start where I left off. Is there a way to continue where u left off?
Hi, you can pause the game by using the live button. Otherwise on reset the only way to continue progression is using the dipswitch settings from the option menu to set starting level. It's supposed to be as arcade accurate as possible so that's as far as it goes for convenience I'm afraid. I hope that helps, thanks!

Does the arcade version here and sega genesis have same music on levels or was that a sega thing?
Genesis had the best music, better than arcade or SNES yeah
The Genesis port has different music, same deal with the Amiga version (which the Genesis version is based on).
Hey you experience any weird knocking sounds in the audio that kind of skips the gameplay when it happens like a knocking sound
Yeah I experience it too, it even happens when I swapped speakers and added an amp. It looks like an issue with either the emulation or emulator

Is the leader board for score on one play ?
The leaderboard is for one playthrough, any number of credits.
how do people have more than 20 million points!? are those scores hacked?
I can get 10 mil pretty regularly maybe push to 11 with some luck, there might be more tricks to getting higher scores than I know
I just purchased one of these machines and something seems to be wrong with the audio. It pops and the game seems to be delayed by a couple seconds any suggestions?
there was a day 1 patch that addressed this I believe, have you tried connecting it to wifi and downloading the patch?
@@realultimategaming when I first connected to Wi-Fi it asked for an update. I clicked yes, took about 10 mins. I’m not sure if that was a patch update but yes I did connect to Wi-Fi.
Unfortunately I still have the issue. Almost unplayable.

Yeah, it definitely doesn't sound good in the video, but after the audio mod, you feel it more than you hear it, too bad the stock cab comes with such weak sounds!

@@realultimategaming yea that’s right! I was one of those kids hanging out in arcades. There was something at the end of the game if you when I think was a number you could call to go on Tour with Arowsmith?
Does beating the full game unlock all the other levels ?
You can access start levels using the settings off the bat, enjoy!
I only have levels 1,2,4,6 to choose from. Any ideas ?

Mine sucks ,the light guns will not work and game freezes. Have you heard of this issue?
Hey I’m sorry to hear that. I hear that is an imaging issue with the rom. I hope Arcade1up comes up with a solution to help everyone with the problem, but it’ll probably involve a complex procedure making a sd disk with the fix and using the debug card slot in the pcb. I hope it works out for you ❤️

I wish the game would keep the high scores after you power it off. That’s my only complaint about this cabinet as all other arcade 1ups keep the scores
T2 does keep all time high scores, only the daily high is reset.
@@realultimategaming weird as mine doesn’t seem to be doing that. Each time I turn it off all the scores are reset on both daily and all time. 🤷🏻♂️
@@DW3010 have you checked the game adjustment settings? There is one that resets your high score maybe check if that one isn’t on

Yes, I notice it when I'm playing and it does bother me yeah, I wished they'd fix that. It's not a deal breaker for me but a major downer nonetheless.
