I remember playing this on the genesis with a controller. It was a hard game especially scrolling with a controller but it was rewarding to finish. Awesome game to play. I use to able to finish it every single time I played it, now I can't get pass the first level, 25 plus years later. There are also limited continues on the genesis.
@@ColonelCarnage The truck sure was a pain, but the part where you have to keep the helicopter from hitting the van (then the liquid coolant truck from destroying it right afterwards) was worse though! I still can't even beat that part without using a second gun I'll admit also! (L.O.L.!)
Maybe the idea with the on/off and volume labels was to purposely make them look like a label maker mod, since they aren't on the original control panel. (So, it looks like a mod done by the arcade.)
Catto is ready for some video games bro. The On/Off is matching the font/stripe under the John Conner image - it is supposed to be replicating the Terminator's data listing on his visual. You need the Street Fighter, TMNT, and Pac-Man!

Yeah that's a good call, I usually only buy on sale but I'm basically a super fan so I had to get this day 1. I'm going to assume the high price will keep these in stock, but ridge racer is selling out at the same price here so who knows.
Can you please tell me if your cab has a buzz even when the volume is all the down? Also does the sound cut out every few seconds while playing. You can test this by just letting the game play without firing. I noticed it right away and if I turn the volume up it is even more noticable. I contacted A1up and they gave me the whole we try and make it 1 to 1 with the arcade spill and if an update comes out we'll let you know. Also does your board on the back of the monitor have a red light on constantly and the metal plate covering it get really hot?
Yeah there is a trick to it, you’ll see a grenade launcher drop along the sides, shoot it to pick it up and shoot the t1000 with it. I played this enough to know all the tricks, I can make a walk through guide
Hi, the side panels are dark navy like the originals, it appears grey due to auto white balance on my phone camera. The lag gets pretty bad if you're not in the right distance, there is a sweet spot for distance where it's got good tracking
Hey I just got it as well and I love it but I have a question do you also get a kind of buzzing hissing sound when you turn the machine on seems like some kind of feedback coming from the audio on speaker’s? It’s fine when you’re playing but it’s very apparent when you turn the machine on
Hey, I think that’s not too irregular, my computer speakers do that too. But during gameplay I hear some inconsistencies, like breaks in sound bytes like the speakers are getting no signal. I tried changing speakers and it still does the same making me believe it might be the software either the emulator or the emulation
@@realultimategaming Yeah I don’t think it has anything to do with the speakers it could either be cheap speakers or needs a software update there’s definitely some distortion going on It’s kind of annoying that’s why I want to know if anybody else was the same machine is getting that buzzing sound it’s still there
The in game volume is always set at a minimum of 20%. The question is: can you het there? Not talking about the menu’s that you have shown. Good Luck on finding that out.
Yeah true, but when you play it feels like it was made for lightguns all along. This game came out before good arcade lightguns were a thing (lethal enforcers was 1992), I'm sure if the technology was around they would have used it back in the way.
kinda bummed about the difference in size of the riser, wasn't expecting to have to move my other cabs away from the wall to compensate for the depth of this one :/
I’m pretty sure the max volume can be increased through a patch. Be sure you updated the game, they may have already improved it, they definitely improved the force feedback through the first update.

Yeah the riser came with it, it's a different dimension from other risers as shown in the video, so ones you buy separately won't fit. The speaker mod is on the way, I have the parts I just need some time to put it together. Cheers!

They are connected by break away cables to a controller pcb which is then connected to the main pcb by usb. As for connecting to a pc I guess it depends on what signals are coming in from the control board.
Nice review and demo! I agree about the on/off and volume labels, but thankfully they're pretty much out of sight. The cabinet looks great, but the guns look and sound cheesy. I don't mean to be negative, but I'd be interested in a tear-down of the guns to see if the solenoid could be replaced with another and maybe improve the trigger spring pressure. Congrats on your buy!
That's the issue with A1up. Quality. This cab is EXPENSIVE considering the fact that you're only getting one game and the these guns won't last more than 4 months. Hope this guy didn't pay full price for this thing.

I just wanted to mention here that it's actually built with very simple implementation for the clicker (motor that spins a piece of plastic and hits another piece of plastic). The trigger as I demonstrate in the video has actually very loose tolerances (long dead space, short trigger pull). Of course a long trigger pull would feel nicer but would break faster in the lever set up that's inside (more stress on springs) so I understand why they did it this way. It's a pretty durable design and unlikely to break easily unless actually thrown around.

The percussion from repeated impacts from sliding back also jostled with the internals since there was no padding or reinforcement inside. Fortunately the only user activated parts in this gun are the button and the trigger so they'll handle longer use. If anything breaks in this it'll be the motor wearing out but these are typical dc 6v hobby motor that is easily replaceable.
My gun 1 suddenly stopped vibrating after gameplay. Gun 2 is perfectly fine. Any suggestions on what to do? I recalibrated but still nada. Thanks in advance. Love the channel!
I love it, other than some issues I pointed out it looks and feels great! I loved it back in the day and I’m a huge fan of the franchise so I basically had no choice but to get it hahaha

Why couldn’t they put Rev X on it? Licensing issues? I’m sure future gun cabs will have more than 1 game. You can always mod it and use a pc with standard Sindens, or maybe the T2 guns will work with a pc. If they made Lethal Enforcers it would have 1 and 2 on it, Time Crisis at least 3-4 games, Area 51 maybe 3 games, and House of the Dead maybe 4 - Hotd 1 and 2 and Virtua Cop 1 and 2.

Yeah, that’s a really tough level but there are a few tricks that can make it easier. If you use both guns it’s easier, have one scan the left and one scan the top. Another is the timing of the heli appearance. I’ve played this a ton back in the day, I think I can make a walk through at some point.
The gun connects by breakaway cables to the control board, which connects to the main board by USB, so it's doable! I plugged it in to my PC and it registered the USB device, so it'll just need someone to write a driver for it (since A1up probably won't release it), but it's definitely doable!

I already contacted Arcade1up about the guns only working in the calibration menu as well the machine powering on but never getting to the menu unless powered off and then on again. I have to wait for them to respond.

No documented breed, I adopted him from a cat cafe, the SPCA document says domestic medium hair :p He's tiny though, definitely not a Maine Coone unless there is a miniature kind, only 10 lbs at 4 years old
Yeah since it is a really hard game you can keep getting better. There are some really challenging scenes that seem impossible that gets easier more you play. Some scenes reset you to start of level when you die so you can’t even “pay to win” push through like most other games (think ghosts and goblins)
Yeah for sure, I remember picking up the Final Fight cab for $350 cdn, these new ones are $850 cdn. More than twice the cost! But I'm a huge fan of T2 and I had to do it.
@@realultimategaming I picked up my Final Fight cabinet for $49 and my NBA Jam cabinet for $111 at Walmart on clearance. There's no way I'd spend over $200 on any arcade1up cabinet. I'm glad you enjoy your T2 cabinet. I'll be looking for clearance prices on any arcade1up cabinet at Wal-Mart.

Here in Canada though we get cabs in less numbers and they cost more and even on clearance rarely go below $500, so we got to get it when we can. I'm a deal hunter my self, most of my channel is collectables I pick up at huge deep sales so I understand!
Yes, it has local leaderboards, all time saves between shutdowns and daily highest resets between shutdowns. The online leader boards have all time and weekly, for arcade mode and for any setting
After that kid with an orange capped toy gun got shot by those cops, I don’t think we’re ever going back to black painted ones again. Still the cheapest way to get two force feedback sinden guns in Canada though.
If the guns were wireless…I could understand not making them look cooler..but If I snagged one half price…like I do all of Arcade1up’s …I would “mod” the guns !🥳
@@adamizerentertainment6632 for sure. The guns are detachable with breakaway cables so I understand the reasoning, anyone can pluck it off and wave it around. It should be easy to just tape up the lens and spray prime it. Maybe drybrush some gunmetal and pick out some metal bits with a brush.
Yeah, I really wanted to point that out, if the cabs are on at the same time you can't even hear T2! The final fight cab had only 2 settings (low, high), max of t2 seems like about the low on final fight. Hopefully a future patch can fix this
I am always confused about the origin of the sound issues on these cabs. Is it a problem with the software (which could be addressed with a patch) or is it that the speakers are lame, in which case I’d mount a small soundbar over the stock speakers.. frustrating.
@@farmerstephen6080 I think it is software, the car speakers inside should be capable of creating so much more volume. Could be fixed with an amp though
Yeah, the best parts are definitely the art and the size. it's too bad it needs a bunch of work put in to fix up the audio. Unfortunately the quality is typical for the brand.
Yeah definitely the most expensive arcade 1up I have, only worth it if you have the money, the space, and love for the game and movie. Probably not for the casual fan I think.

There is a sweet spot in the distance from screen where there is nearly no latency, I have a gameplay video where I play through without a problem, I hope that helps.
The gun reticle curser has noticeable delayed behind your aiming. How are you gonna win? Light gun games are fast af and the light gun is supposed to be light speed responsive. This doesn't look like how the game is supposed to look :/ the screen quality is super bad. These products could be 200$ cheaper if they didnt pack in the worst monitors in the world and it just hdmi into a real tv or monitor. Immediately it looks like hot garbage after market scam ware. Arcades machines audio were loud and clear with stereo speakers. The gun sound didnt wash out your ears. Also the gun click sounds like plastic and cheap :/
There is a sweet spot in the distance where there is near no latency and has good tracking, I have a lay through video where I have no problem aiming, I hope that helps.
Did you see the terminator bust I hand sculpted? I think you are underestimating my dedication. Also I’m in Canada, it was closer to $950 after tax. We don’t get nice sales like in the US or the easy access to original arcade cabinets. But yes, if you don’t meet a very specific criteria this cabinet is not a good value at all, but that can go for any product.

This is so awesome. I loved this arcade game when I was a kid. I just couldn't pass levels in the Sega Genesis
it's definitely harder using a d-pad! On the snes it was easier than the arcade version to make up for it though

I would just for starters hook up a cheap amplifier to enhance the sound quality. It could make quite a difference.

Yeah, mine was on the latest patch when I made the video, I made sure to update it on first boot up. Hopefully they fix the volume in the future!

Hi have you checked you haven’t turned off vibrate by accident? It’s a toggle near the back of the gun, I show it in the video.

Yeah, that’s a really tough level but there are a few tricks that can make it easier. If you use both guns it’s easier, have one scan the left and one scan the top. Another is the timing of the heli appearance. I’ve played this a ton back in the day, I think I can make a walk through at some point.

Are those standard Sinden connections?
I'm not sure, but you can connect it with an adapter to a PC and it recognizes it.

The gun connects by breakaway cables to the control board, which connects to the main board by USB, so it's doable! I plugged it in to my PC and it registered the USB device, so it'll just need someone to write a driver for it (since A1up probably won't release it), but it's definitely doable!
cannot get the guns to work. they calibrate but i cant do anything to make them work.

@@realultimategaming Hello, my mother posted that to try to help with the problem. I already contacted Arcade1up about the guns only working in the calibration menu as well the machine powering on but never getting to the menu unless powered off and then on again. I have to wait for them to respond.

The screen size for a shooter needs to be at least a 19 inch. 17 is almost unplayable
a bigger screen would definitely be nice!

why is the display bezel not black? Wasn't it black in the original? It looks unfinished just like the volume knob font.
I noticed that too, yes it was black in the og and I can only guess it might have something to do with the sinden guns.

Does this game have high replay value?
Yeah since it is a really hard game you can keep getting better. There are some really challenging scenes that seem impossible that gets easier more you play. Some scenes reset you to start of level when you die so you can’t even “pay to win” push through like most other games (think ghosts and goblins)
These are starting to get expensive the whole reason they were so popular was because they were affordable. That's not the case any more
Yeah for sure, I remember picking up the Final Fight cab for $350 cdn, these new ones are $850 cdn. More than twice the cost! But I'm a huge fan of T2 and I had to do it.
@@realultimategaming I picked up my Final Fight cabinet for $49 and my NBA Jam cabinet for $111 at Walmart on clearance. There's no way I'd spend over $200 on any arcade1up cabinet. I'm glad you enjoy your T2 cabinet. I'll be looking for clearance prices on any arcade1up cabinet at Wal-Mart.
@@BDevi0us Hey those are some great prices, if you can get them at those prices that's awesome! Here in Canada though we get cabs in less numbers and they cost more and even on clearance rarely go below $500, so we got to get it when we can. I'm a deal hunter my self, most of my channel is collectables I pick up at huge deep sales so I understand!

Yes, it has local leaderboards, all time saves between shutdowns and daily highest resets between shutdowns. The online leader boards have all time and weekly, for arcade mode and for any setting

After that kid with an orange capped toy gun got shot by those cops, I don’t think we’re ever going back to black painted ones again. Still the cheapest way to get two force feedback sinden guns in Canada though.
If the guns were wireless…I could understand not making them look cooler..but If I snagged one half price…like I do all of Arcade1up’s …I would “mod” the guns !🥳
@@adamizerentertainment6632 for sure. The guns are detachable with breakaway cables so I understand the reasoning, anyone can pluck it off and wave it around. It should be easy to just tape up the lens and spray prime it. Maybe drybrush some gunmetal and pick out some metal bits with a brush.
Even the Big Buck guns look childish…but I get it ! Arcade1up don’t want any problems from the public about realistic guns on their cabs..

Yeah, I really wanted to point that out, if the cabs are on at the same time you can't even hear T2! The final fight cab had only 2 settings (low, high), max of t2 seems like about the low on final fight. Hopefully a future patch can fix this
I am always confused about the origin of the sound issues on these cabs. Is it a problem with the software (which could be addressed with a patch) or is it that the speakers are lame, in which case I’d mount a small soundbar over the stock speakers.. frustrating.
@@farmerstephen6080 I think it is software, the car speakers inside should be capable of creating so much more volume. Could be fixed with an amp though

Yeah, the best parts are definitely the art and the size. it's too bad it needs a bunch of work put in to fix up the audio. Unfortunately the quality is typical for the brand.

Yeah definitely the most expensive arcade 1up I have, only worth it if you have the money, the space, and love for the game and movie. Probably not for the casual fan I think.

There is a sweet spot in the distance from screen where there is nearly no latency, I have a gameplay video where I play through without a problem, I hope that helps.
The gun reticle curser has noticeable delayed behind your aiming. How are you gonna win? Light gun games are fast af and the light gun is supposed to be light speed responsive. This doesn't look like how the game is supposed to look :/ the screen quality is super bad. These products could be 200$ cheaper if they didnt pack in the worst monitors in the world and it just hdmi into a real tv or monitor.
Immediately it looks like hot garbage after market scam ware.
Arcades machines audio were loud and clear with stereo speakers. The gun sound didnt wash out your ears. Also the gun click sounds like plastic and cheap :/
There is a sweet spot in the distance where there is near no latency and has good tracking, I have a lay through video where I have no problem aiming, I hope that helps.

Did you see the terminator bust I hand sculpted? I think you are underestimating my dedication. Also I’m in Canada, it was closer to $950 after tax. We don’t get nice sales like in the US or the easy access to original arcade cabinets. But yes, if you don’t meet a very specific criteria this cabinet is not a good value at all, but that can go for any product.
In the original machine the gun is stuck there . Now u have to hold it up and shoot . Tiring . Take a sledge hammer and smash it to pieces
