Coming back to this video now is a trip, it was an experience then and it’s an experience now. RDR2 was an incredible game, but I’ll never forget the story of a man trying to right the wrongs his previous life led him to. Thank you for making this
@@Mandalorian_Goblinslayer come on, if any officer hears that they have to track down a fugitive they have to. The fair thing about Archer is that he was keen with the deal with John, he tracks down his former gang members they let him and his family go. Ross is the real bad guy for not keeping his word and went to kill John, Archer wasn't there when they killed him.
I wish after you killed Edgar Ross the next objective would be, "Visit your Father's grave." While Jack is riding to the grave, Dead Man's Gun would play. When Jack is about to leave the grave he'd say, "I love you Pa." And then ride into the sunset. Roll credits.
well done i finished this game almost 2 years ago and i was angry about the death of john marston today i understand that this story is the best story that you can put in a game and the music make it so emotional
It wasn't a bad game definitely a 9/10 game but RDR actually is way more emotional and can get your emotions on, John was a family man and he was killed, he was abandoned by his friends, then betrayed, finally he died protecting his family, has a real man would. RIP John Marston.
really like how you edited the credit music with the final chapter of the story , as most people who have played this game it s a rare treat that really make's one feel apart of the story , and you have nailed this 100 percent , very emotional stuff
i spent 10 years in the army, and in the middle of that time, my dad died on top of losing many friends..... watching this makes me feel that drained feeling all over again.... i quit smoking a year ago but wont lie, this made me smoke again.
Song was perfect dude good job ... Just beat the game for like the fifth time still makes me year up every time man this has gotta be the best way but saddest way to end a game
red dead redemption is best at bringing out our feelings for the characters such as anticipation in the stranger missions and the sadness at johns death
great video !!! like and subscribed. can't stop watching this video! i finished the game three days ago, sad to watch John die, but epic to watch Jack take revenge! favourite game :)
I know people say The Last of Us is the best story in gaming. But i would still put this up aganist it anyday. Best Rockstar game ive played. Also my favorite multiplayer game also. The story in this was just a shocker to me. All that hard work and in the end you die! Really blew my mind. God Speed John.
I cried, literally, this was the best rock star game ever made, they TRIED their best, and they made an ACTUAL game, thank you rock star, for all of your games, you guys rule :)
What's even more sad is that after John dies and play as jack, if you buy the newspaper, everyone who John helped capture criminals takes full credit for them, they never even mention John in helping them.
oh and i was shocked i did not know that you die in the end, till a finished the game a year ago... But i think this is the first time i was really getting emotional because of a game and the fact that this game managet to make much of you emotional too shows how great this game was it was on one side a bad ending but on the orher side just epic and great....
no game has ever moved me as much as this, the whole plot/story makes you want to not forget, never letting go of it, it makes me frustrated and sad, for me personally it's not just a game...
This was probably why John was always saying the past is never forgiven, and nothing is forgotten...eventually you have to face everything you've done. I like that this ending happens whether you make John honorable or dishonorable.
I remember this was the only game my grandfather ever approved of an we plays it and when John died we both got angry and the last duel was so fulfilling
Such a sad but epic ending the way Jack avenged his father...Rockstar really needs to make the next chapter of this, about jack and his life when this was all said and done. It would be cool to reunite with some of the other characters and seeing their reactions to Johns death. Especially Bonnie's
Bonnie and Drew McFarlane were tending their ranch, trying to keep themselves alive. Irish traveled further into Mexico. West Dickens was in a different state/country selling is tonic. Seth was in a grave searching for a new treasure or has been arrested for grave robbery. Also, I doubt that any of them knew he had died.
This is Red Dead 2. Red Dead Revovler was the first. As you play through the game, there's some points where you can here people talking about Red Harlow or some of the other notables from the game, usually when you stumble across a campsite with some people askign you to have a seat with them. There's even some characters you can play as in Multiplayer that are from Red Dead Revovler.
I'm not ashamed to admit I bawled the entire seven and a half minutes of this video. I'd managed to fall in love with John's character only to have him ripped out of my hands. I probably wouldn't have minded if it weren't for those farm/family missions that actually made me see the side of him that wasn't a ruthless killer. All he wanted was a simple life and he was denied that... Gotta say, Rockstar knew what they were doing with this one.
Bonnie, Drew, and West Dickens were probably the only ones who could have went to Johns funeral. Irish died in Thieve's Landing in a duel and Seth found treasure and was really rich. (Read the Blackwater newspaper).
My second time through, I completed all of the game prior to John's demise so he could have his family. I thought it would be a nice, nerdy tribute to my favorite character in my favorite game. However, with no more missions, stranger missions...anything, I noticed that he has very minimal interaction with his family. They seem to be at a stage where they've grown apart and just say hi in passing. I realized that the Heaven I made turned into a Hell, so I progressed the story to set him free.
The first time I finished this game and I seen John get killed by the very same people who claim to be the "good guys" that Marston risked his life for and betrayed his former gang members even though they betrayed him first and other bad things this ending is still sad even thought great I had on single tear fall down my face seeing this ending as John Marston is truly one of the first video game characters that I honestly cared about the story is so good and makes you have respect and honor
I agree with the Bonnie and Irish explanation, but West Dickens was freed by John Marston in Blackwater and once you control Jack Marston, if you read the newspaper it says that Seth found the treasure he was looking for and have returned to his family. So their ain't no excuse for those two.
fantastic work buddy. it would've been perfect if you let the game goes till the end of the credit. the Red Dead Redemption screen after Jack fulfills his deed then the credits are quite satisfying (unless Remember My Family wasn't your final stranger mission). nonetheless, very nice work. thanks,
Indeed, the feeling of closure doing that, was immense. Perfect way to close a game out. Avenging your father was a great way to end the game. The greatest cliché in western movies used to the best effect in videogames. Perfect.
People who get confused with the undead nightmare ethier it took place in a alternat universe or it took placie between when jhon got killed and when he got his family back
This game needs a prequel with John in his gang days and be a cowboy bandit. Then a sequel with playing as his live hardened son jack after losing his parents and probably seek more revenge within the government

I liked Archer Fordham.
He was a fair guy. He didn't return to kill Marston.
so true , and everyone hates him so much and they don't really know why.
MooseHunter330 I hate him because he was involved with tracking down John Marston and his ranch back in RDR2
Mr. Mayhem no he wasn’t he didn’t show up which is probably why he liked John
@@Mandalorian_Goblinslayer come on, if any officer hears that they have to track down a fugitive they have to. Yeah I really like archer, he’s probably the only Pinkerton I will ever respect
Its even More Sad With The Music

Fuck
Off
No thank you
+Liano Cerda you fuck off
i wish thats what happens
that would be the best ending ever
hell yeah
After all the ending videos I been watching this is the best one very nice big rdr fan can't wait for rdr2
well done
i finished this game almost 2 years ago and i was angry about the death of john marston
today i understand that this story is the best story that you can put in a game
and the music make it so emotional
Nah I'm in tahiti with the rest of the gang while micah is tied to a tree and we take turns hitting him with a bat
Who put the onions on my key board?
Best storytelling in gaming history right there!
I so agree with u!
have u played the last of us sir?
Yep. About undead creatures again...
It wasn't a bad game definitely a 9/10 game but RDR actually is way more emotional and can get your emotions on, John was a family man and he was killed, he was abandoned by his friends, then betrayed, finally he died protecting his family, has a real man would. RIP John Marston.
best game ever, futuristic first person shooters will never touch this game
but this game is not fps game so why you are comparing
Maybe because hes comparing to other games...
BRUTAL MOON no red dead redemption 2 is way better
@@Haal96 that coment was 2 years ago and rdr2 dosent even exist in that moment
Futuristic first person shooters will never touch this game because it is impossible to compare the two
❤ It's 2024 and I'm still watching it !!
No matter how much time has passed But this is the best and most impressive Red Dead video of all time
😢❤❤
At least he cared for his family, tragic death. :(
it cried to me because my hero john marston is preferred in red dead redemption is that it's sad to see him die!
there is another ending where you just run out the back of the barn
no there isnt i tried
sry this guy posted a vid showing that
friend if you run away the game is not stop the real ending is this :)
kennygtexas That’s A Fake Video. I Wish You Could Do That, But It Is Not Real.
the music is "Life and Death" for Michael Giacchino is the OST from LOST :'(
Lost and RDR
I can't go to sleep I'm crying
Hug me bro.
Iggy Cobain Can I join too? ; _________ ;
MeestaBojangles Sure :D
Iggy Cobain
I must cry it is so sad I had to go through it two times in the game waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Hope your ok alex
He didn’t only carry the weight of John on his shoulders. He carried the weight of the entire gang; in the end he avenged them all.
That is one of the games that deserve a remake.
That music makes me cry knowing that john made a noble sacrifice to save his family. R.I.P John marston
RIP JM 1873 - 1911
spencer rystad true well never forget him
Made... me cry... D: even more sad with the music, R.I.P John Marston A.K.A BADASS
Well..now you know who's my Hero!❤❤❤😢😢😢😢😢J.M.
One of the most emotional endings in a game that i've ever played, that's for sure. Was not expecting John to die.
the music was good for this
really like how you edited the credit music with the final chapter of the story , as most people who have played this game it s a rare treat that really make's one feel apart of the story , and you have nailed this 100 percent , very emotional stuff
My girlfriend cried, big time!
***** Yes Same ;(
i cried big time , because i don't have a girlfriend.
I cryd also friend found it funny I did
Seriously the best singleplayer campaign I've ever played in my life.
rdr 2 will be pucka
Ross was one of the most satisfying kills in all my gaming experience
That was one duel I HAD to wind first time. only made it right.
Okay time too get out the tisues.
IAmQueen Bishes to*
Too is used when you agree or you are also happy for example I’m happy, me too
too is used for something that is emotional/feelings.
i spent 10 years in the army, and in the middle of that time, my dad died on top of losing many friends..... watching this makes me feel that drained feeling all over again.... i quit smoking a year ago but wont lie, this made me smoke again.
why does john marston had to die
😢😢😢😢😢
Music fits the video really well, nice job
This has so much more meaning since playing RDR2. Manly I love this great series!!
It's a strangers mission. ( Remember My Family ) It starts at the train station in Blackwater
The only side mission I cared about
"People don't forget. Nothing gets forgiven."
RIP John Marston and Edgar Ross. Both so different yet so alike.
Song was perfect dude good job ... Just beat the game for like the fifth time still makes me year up every time man this has gotta be the best way but saddest way to end a game
red dead redemption is best at bringing out our feelings for the characters

i finished the game three days ago, sad to watch John die, but epic to watch Jack take revenge! favourite game :)
the lost theme fits perfectly :) awsome video mate
Thank you man, it's a great song too.

When I killed Ross it was raining and lightning everywhere, it was so epic :D
So happy RDR2 comes out this spring
What's even more sad is that after John dies and play as jack, if you buy the newspaper, everyone who John helped capture criminals takes full credit for them, they never even mention John in helping them.

I bawled like a baby the first time I played this game and got to this part. I still do when I replay.
Its really sad, i didnt expect that was gonna be an ending in rockstar game
This made me cry cause it was too emotional plus im in the level were he says lock the doors
out of all the games i played out of my entire life i think this one had the most feels in it
There are only two video games that I have cried over. This is one of them.
You made this ending even more sad with the music ):
John Marston was one of the most compelling characters in any storytelling medium ever
You took the words out of my mouth.
Shit this vid makes me cry...
Revenge repaid. Awesome video.
the music only play on the credits and the name is: deadman's gun by ashtar command
does anyone else get that tingly feeling when jack says i aint goin nowhere old man
This was probably why John was always saying the past is never forgiven, and nothing is forgotten...eventually you have to face everything you've done. I like that this ending happens whether you make John honorable or dishonorable.
Even if they do make a sequel to rdr, its not going to be the same with out John... or Rufus.
Luckily they nailed it
Great job making the video.
Awesome video, really, nice job :)
I remember this was the only game my grandfather ever approved of an we plays it and when John died we both got angry and the last duel was so fulfilling
Aw man, you're right. Nothing will bring John back, and after killing Ross I just felt.. empty. Like everything was finally over.
i like how jack looks at his pistol after killing edgar realising he ended up with the same life his father had hoped he wouldnt have to live
Such a sad but epic ending the way Jack avenged his father...Rockstar really needs to make the next chapter of this, about jack and his life when this was all said and done. It would be cool to reunite with some of the other characters and seeing their reactions to Johns death. Especially Bonnie's
"Blessed Are The Peacemakers"
when first playing the game i didnt like john thought he was ugly but as i played the game he grew on me and i learned to love him
Bonnie and Drew McFarlane were tending their ranch, trying to keep themselves alive. Irish traveled further into Mexico. West Dickens was in a different state/country selling is tonic. This is ... RED DEAD REDEMPTION ! One of the best I ever played for years. Loved it. Still riding the horse ...

Rest in Peace John Marston.May we play as you again in Red dead Redemption 2.
Song is LOST (great show) life and death theme
@adhemht92 the name of the song is: dead man's gun
Great video RIP John
Them feels though. Got pretty emotional in the end. I think there's going to be another red dead game for next gen.
I agree with the Bonnie and Irish explanation, but West Dickens was freed by John Marston in Blackwater and once you control Jack Marston, if you read the newspaper it says that Seth found the treasure he was looking for and have returned to his family. So their ain't no excuse for those two.

nonetheless, very nice work.
thanks,
the song of the end of the game makes me mourn and remember to john
Jack Marston the last of the van der Lin gang
I sincerely thank you sir it has been KILLING me!
So sad... John Marston is a hero!!! :')
It's called teaching yourself through trial and error or just basically training and gaining experience.
It's called deadmans gun by ashtar command, I think that's the bands name, it's something like that
Indeed, the feeling of closure doing that, was immense. Perfect way to close a game out. Avenging your father was a great way to end the game. The greatest cliché in western movies used to the best effect in videogames. Perfect.
I had seen the death scene before and knew full well it was coming but still nearly cried when I got there myself.
it made me cry a lot 😢
r.i.p john marston
can anyone tell me the name of the piano/string piece which starts around 1:23?
-cries- i really cried in real life at this ending and it was sad.i hope this doesn't happen to my father because i love him.
People who get confused with the undead nightmare ethier it took place in a alternat universe or it took placie between when jhon got killed and when he got his family back
the thing that i like is that, jack spends most of his life trying to find the guy who shot his dad
This game needs a prequel with John in his gang days and be a cowboy bandit. Then a sequel with playing as his live hardened son jack after losing his parents and probably seek more revenge within the government
Only game that made me cry. His death makes me teary-eyed every time.
R.I.P John Marston died like a man
