I have been looking at hose link since moving to our new home two years ago.😢 its such a large lot and planting from scratch, but just cant get my husband to take the leep. Even though we are using three different hoses to reach our front yard, barely. It would be fabulous to have two one for back yard and one for front.
Hey Jennifer! You emailed us and we emailed back but I don't know if you got got our response. Still need to know what color you would like and your mailing address and we'll get it shipped out to you! winner@gardenanswer.com Thanks!!
I loved the flashback on the hayracks, thanks Ken. My husband has a PhD in biology and taught for 38 years. When he retired, he taught the Master Gardener program at the local state prison. He has been very critical of information that he hears on various programs but not what he hears from Laura. Three years ago, he had a brain injury and lost his short-term memory. Now he enjoys watching your programs with me. Thank you, Laura and Aaron, for your inspiration and valuable information.
Laura and Aaron, you guys keep me going! I'm 72, and just started gardening 3 years ago because of you. I start every morning in my chair with a good cup of coffee, my two pups and you. You are both so warm and inviting... And inspiring!! Laura, you were spot on with your comment about watering at this time of year. I spend nearly 5 hours a day watering by hand and by the time the season is over, I swear I'll never do it by hand again. Then, come Spring, I can't wait to get things blooming. Winning a Hoselink would make gardening even more enjoyable than it already is.
Thank you for creating this channel and teaching people how to create amazing & beautiful environments for themselves. You've inspired me to create seasonal beauty on my little 3/4 acre property. You've taught me about so many plants I ignored before and introduced me to P.W and 'ordering' seeds instead of going to home depo for things that seem to always fail me. Bless you for inspiring me to garden. Your beautiful little family is a joy to watch. Keep up the fantastic work! 🌻🏵🌺🌲🌾🍀💐
Morning ya'll! Glad ya'll are getting rain, it's just hot here in Texas. Hoping for a bit of rain today. A hose link would be a wonderful birthday gift....July is my birthday month!!
Last week I finally received my HoseLinks! Being a disabled veteran, this has been a God send. Where has this been all my life!!! Thank you Laura and Aaron and Hoselink! ❤️🙏🏼
My sister-in-law works in landscape design. She and I were at a local garden center. She stopped and admired some beautiful color of plants and called my attention to them. I said, “Oh, heuchera?” She was like, “Look at you!” I learn so much from you!
This made me chuckle! I've become that person in my friend group too! They always seem so impressed by my plant knowledge and it's all thanks to Laura!

Totally agree! Their garden has gotten so expansive that filming the tours in more focused zones would really give depth to all they have accomplished.

Three weeks ago I broke my wrist and tore my ACL in a gardening accident, much like your mom did with her foot/ankle. I had surgery 10 days ago and your videos have kept me sane through my healing. It is tough being on a crutch and having my arm in a sling, so instead of working in my yard, I binge your videos to get my fix! Thanks for keeping me mentally healthy! ❤
Of all the streaming services, channels, shows and series available to watch out there, GARDEN ANSWER is the only one that I WILL NOT miss an episode! ❤️❤️❤️ so much valuable info and inspiration to take away. You are both a godsend to gardeners everywhere. Thank you for your continued amazing content. So excited to watch the upcoming pond episodes ☺️.
I think the person who asked about planting dill for swallowtail butterflies was referring to it as a host plant. In spring, adult butterflies emerge and the females seek out host plants (carrots, dill, parsley, fennel, etc.). Host plants are vital for the pollinator life cycle. It's where female insects lay their eggs, where larvae hatch and feed, and the place they call home. Many species of butterflies only have one host plant, and without it, they can't complete their life cycle. If you want to attract butterflies that are just passing through, nectar plants will be enough to bring them in for a visit. As the name suggests, these plants are the ones that attract mature butterflies to feed on nectar, which is their primary source of food in this last stage of their life. (Coneflower, Heuchera, Penstemon etc) Great recap video as always. So enjoy these weekly chat sessions❤.
Thank you! That was great information; I’ve only ever hear of planting the nectar plants to attract but not what they need for their life cycle. I have heard to have queen Ann’s lace but I’m so allergic, but I’m not to Dill, plus I love using dill in my cooking. Thanks again!
Been following you guys since covid and if I go a few days without catching up I feel like I haven’t talked to my best friend in too long. So weird that videos can make us feel like we’re all your friends!! Such inspiration and motivation! I’ve always worked in my garden but you’ve inspired me to try new things, and constantly hear Laura narrating as I work. 😂 Thanks for all your hard work!! ❤
I love seeing your kids get involved with everything. It wasn't in this recap but I loved the video where Benjamin decided to plant lantana. He placed the plant where he wanted it, went and got his shovel, and then kicked the plant over before he started to dig! It was so cute!
If I had to choose one amazingly memorable video from every single one of yours, it'd be the surgery Aaron performed on that tree he bolted together. It was such a labour of love.
Since I am 72 years old having a Hoselink Retractable Hose Reel would definitely be beneficial... I wouldn't have to worry about tripping over an old tangled up hose and to have the ease of a retractable hose would be a game changer. Thank you for your videos, I've learned so much!
I’ve always loved seeing Douglas, Cheddar and Russell but I think Benjamin and Samantha are starting to steal their thunder and become the stars of the show 😂
😂 Agree! I forget what Laura is saying as I’m so busy watching the kids or the cats! I’m not even a cat person, but I catch myself and have to rewind! 😂
Loved the show today! Just to clarify the comment on the dill. There are many phases in a pollinator's life that require different plants. Some are needed for food but others are needed for an area to reproduce and to feed the young when they appear. You already do such a variety of things in your space that it is just one of the things that you might look into for the furture. You can't do everything all at once, no one can. Even with a Paul & Bethany. Thanks again for all of your and Aaron's hard work.
I watch every video, but I still can't wait for 6 o'clock Sunday mornings for the recaps. I enjoy them so much and I actually learn a thing or two. Thank you for all you do.
You guys are so awesome! I've gardened all over the world where ever I was stationed (US Air Force Retired). Now that I am retired an back home in North Texas I have been able to develop my garden with massive help from watching you two on a daily basis. You've helped tremendously with some issues here and there I hadn't even thought about and it has made my life and gardening experience very blessed and much improved, and for that I thank you soooo much!!! ❤
Love your videos! I even play them for my dogs while I am away at work. You are their happy voice. Occasionally, I walk through the TV room while some of your older vidoes are playing. I have to say your gardens have evolved over the years and I am so impressed with the latest version. Your vision and ability to transform the vision into a reality is truly amazing. You keep on inspiring us. I even have take away's from Monica, your SIL, and your moms gardens. It's helping me define my zones into livable spaces and build out our happy place. Thank you in advance for giving away amazing products like Hoselink.
I live in Oklahoma, and yes the hail can be quite ferocious. I do not have a greenhouse, but we do have exceptionally large windows on our home. All the windows on the West side of our home are not protected by anything, and they have stood up to everything Oklahoma weather has thrown at them. I would think a Hartley is engineered in a way to account for most weather extremes, and would not be afraid to have one.
I moved to the Treasure Valley after living in the mountains of NW Oregon. What a drastic change in environment. Your show has been my guiding light. I check in with you guys to see what chores I should be doing, what plants do well here and for inspiration. Then there’s the bonus of your pleasant company. Sometimes I let the videos run in the background just for the friendly chatter. Your work is so appreciated. ✌️🌱
What a gorgeous environment you have created your yourselves, friends, extended family, and us that get to enjoy it virtually! Thank you, and thanks to Hose Link for sponsoring!!!!!!
Coming up on about point 26.40 on your video made me laugh out loud. Yep, getting older is not for the feint of heart. I'm now 74!! But I've been blessed with pretty good health so I am still gardening, crafting and providing most of the childcare for my 2 young grandsons, age 6 and 8. And now providing nursing care for my older sister as well. Life is good; life is full. And your videos are my most enjoyable entertainment after all the other things I do. Thank you.
My Sunday Morning Coffee Time with Laura and Aaron is the highlight of my week. I have learned about so many different plants from watching this show. And of course new tools, like HoseLink as well.
Thank you to Aaron and Laura for letting us all follow along with making their garden beautiful, helping friends and family, donating time and flowers and all the fun shopping trips they go on. 💖 Thank you to Hoselink for another chance to win a hose reel. Good luck everyone! 😊
A garden tour week would be amazing!! You and Aaron are such a wealth of joy & knowledge, it would be such a treat to hear you go more in depth in a tour.. thank you for sharing your spaces with us!
I just want to say, God has blessed you and your family so much! You are such an inspiration to us all here and you guys truly make this world a better place. Please keep up the hard work and we will continue to pray for you. 😊 I just had my third child a month ago and I’m just getting back into the swing of life. Your videos make my day so much better. My annuals this year are the talk of our guest that come over. I give you all of the credit bc I have learned so much from your videos through the years. Thank you!
Yes to a week long garden tours. I enjoy seeing the evolution of each space and I always feel for Laura as she’s rushing around trying to be mindful of the length of the tour.
Yay, HOSELINK, thanks for another giveaway, which I'd love to have! As to the BOXWOOD CLEANUP for those of us who don't have helpers, I can remember seeing Laura, a few years ago, laying down landscape fabric, which caught the cuttings, and then she scooped it all up. As for those of us who GARDEN IN the south with HIGH HEAT WITH HIGH HUMIDITY, there are several things we do: 1.) Try to get the bulk of the heavy gardening in the spring, and then just maintenance in the heat of summer. 2.) Do heavy work in the cool parts of the day; my favorite is the last 2 hours of the day, when you sometimes get that evening breeze. You still get hot and sweaty, but it's getting cooler while you're working, instead of hotter. 3.) Wear light colors and light fabric, and I like to wear a straw hat. 4.) When it gets really hot (and the sweat is just pouring off me.....you should see how red my face gets!), run the hose on your head and completely wet your hair. This keeps you cool for a decent amount of time. (You could also jump in the pool, which many of us have here in FL.) When I was a Disney cast member at Animal Kingdom, I would put a washcloth with ice in it under my hat on those terrible, long, hot days when I was outside for 8 hours with a couple of breaks, and it kept me going. 5.) Take breaks. Once I start working on a project, I don't like to stop. But I'm also in my mid-60s and know I have to, so summer I've been working one hour ON and a half hour OFF.
In the video of planting the circle garden, within your new brick patio, you shared your indecision about the size, scale, type of central feature to install so as to not interrupt your view of the Hartley. Have you given thought to a sculptural pedestal based sundial? I saw quite a few of these in the public gardens of Europe and found them to be amongst my favorite garden features. These can actually be mounted within an in ground stone wading pool with low arching water jets. I am sure whatever you choose will be spectacular ❤ so will look forward to the someday reveal 😊
It is absolutely amazing to have been on this gardening journey with you both for so many years! I love seeing how your spaces have evolved and I think the number one thing I have learned from you is that if you don’t love something it’s okay to move it or even replace it - life is too short to not love it!!!! Thank you for everything you do and for sharing your life with us!
So excited for the pond install! And kudos for having the patience to wait until you get the right fountain vibe you really want for the patio and planting it with those beautiful annuals in the meantime.
I love watching your property develop over the years. You have been such an inspiration to me with my own garden. I’ve learned so much and look forward to all of your videos ❤
It still amazes me how much you and Aaron have transformed your property since I started watching Garden Answer three years ago. What an inspiration for all gardeners. If Laura can do it we can do it too!
I sat down to watch this and had to run get my garden notebook so I could write down all the tips I picked up from y’all! I’m getting ready to get serious about vegetable and fruit gardening:) My husband has been watching all your irrigation videos while he’s been trenching, running pipe and electrical to the spot for a greenhouse, and placing sprinkler pipe to run up into the elevated beds we’ll be putting in after the weed barrier and layers of rock. We can’t thank you enough for all the things we’ve learned from y’all over the years!! This Spring we finally had the confidence to get things rolling. Boy is it a ton of work! We wouldn’t have even attempted it without all the learning we’ve enjoyed from your videos! Thanks a bunch!!! :)
You two are so inspiring. I woke up this morning to a windy, overcast day and thought “today I think I’ll read all day”. Of course after coffee and Garden Answer. Then I watch and I’m inspired to go out and get a few things done. Thank you for your positivity and energy!
Nothing says Sunday like a cup of Coffee and Garden Answer Recap in the morning! You all are part of my weekly routine. Bought a Hoselink based on your recommendation...Love it...Game changer!
I save watching your videos for my time on the treadmill. Only time I don't keep watching the time and distance is when I watch you and your fabulous family.
Your weekly recap videos are my favorite part of Sunday mornings. I’m a more newbie gardener in retirement and I learn so much from you. My husband doesn’t watch but when I say “Laura does it this way” he knows who I’m talking about. 😂 I can’t wait for your fertilizing video tomorrow, I have so many questions on that and have been hoping you would do one!
Hi Laura and Aaron you guys really inspired me and a lot of people. I’m from Red Earth Creek Alberta Canada. I started watching when you started planted Lemon trees and ever since I’ve been following you. Keep up the good work and God Bless you guys!
I would love to give this Hoselink to my neighbors as a housewarming gift. It has taken them two years during Covid to finish this. Love all the videos
Hi from Central Florida! Our weather here has been different, too. More dry days than we usually have this time of year. I hope you know what a delight it is to watch your beautiful journey!
Hello there! It's just wonderful to sit with my coffee and enjoy watching you both. I love your recaps. Sometimes things are discussed that I may have missed in the original video. You look like you are totally enjoying the weather this year. Have a wonderful and safe 4th of July! Thank you Hoselink for sponsoring this recap, you have a superb product. Everyone be safe.
I think I started watching your videos Aug of 2017. I remember being on vacation, 13 hour drive and binge watching your older videos. I love watching the progress of your properties and have learned so much! Especially love that you do the recap videos now (still watch every single video) but the interactions between you and Aaron is fun! Also love the “kids comic relief” I miss mine being that age!

Good work guys! The team has done a consistent good job for a lot of years now. I loved to watch all the changes you made in your garden space since you first started to live at this house, and to see the new gardens and infrastructure added afterwards. You channel has a lot of good energy and I try to check on new videos every morning before work to start the day in a good mood. Keep up with the good work!
Love your recaps! Most questions I'd ask are almost answered on here. But also good questions of things I didn't think of. Keep up with the awesome work! ❤️ y'all.
What a joy to see how you have developed your property from an ugly duckling into a beautiful swan. I'm sure Hoselink makes it easier to navigate watering now.
Wonderful recap, as usual! I appreciate so much all of the flash backs. I know it must take quite a bit of extra time to hunt those down and insert them. Also love how you constantly acknowledge all your help. ❤
As always, love what you and Aaron do for all of us to enjoy. So inspiring. This is the time of year I really can't wait to see what the video is because you are doing so much planting of shrubs and flowers. That's my jam.
I remember Douglas in a garden tour video you did Laura, it was a couples years ago or longer. He was hanging out laying by a shrub when you came around the side of the house. I remember thinking how fluffy cuddly he looked.
I watch all of your videos but the two garden tours have to be my favorite to date. They show off the vision you’ve worked so hard at for years, everything is really coming together. It’s spectacular!
I have been looking at hose link since moving to our new home two years ago.😢 its such a large lot and planting from scratch, but just cant get my husband to take the leep. When I first started watching y’all I thought oh my how does she k ow they name of everything in her garden but I have learned so much from y’all that I now know plant names and I have added so much to my garden.
I have learned the proper name of plants because Laura always calls them by name. Like heuchera instead of coral bells. I love it!
I find myself saying, “Laura said” or “Aaron said”. People ask me, “ oh Laura who? or Aaron who?” I talk like we’re friends. Honestly with as much as I watch Garden Answer especially this time of year….I spend more time with Laura and Aaron than some of my friends. 😊
I refer to Laura as my TH-cam BFF!!😂
I love watching the two of you interacting with each other. I feel that I am sitting at the kitchen table talking among friends. Thank you
I love how you always praise Paul and Bethany! You show your appreciation so much every "boss" should treat their employees as you do life would be so much better!!!
I think Laura’s garden grows so big and beautiful because she walks around and tells her plants how beautiful they are.
Yes! I also wondered if she shouldn't threaten her weakling redbud too loudly. Awww!😂
I love Aaron’s idea about a week of “Garden Tours.” You have so many new viewers who haven’t watched the evolution of your spaces and I think it might be helpful to them to see before and afters. :-)

Aaron cracks me up at least once every video he's in. Today it was talking about some other family missing Douglas.😂

How fun would it be if Aaron did a garden tour with Laura filming! (My thought while listening to the conversation at the 41 minute mark) 😂

If you want to attract butterflies that are just passing through, nectar plants will be enough to bring them in for a visit. As the name suggests, these plants are the ones that attract mature butterflies to feed on nectar, which is their primary source of food in this last stage of their life. (Coneflower, Heuchera, Penstemon etc)
Great recap video as always.
Just one of many in the Laura and Aaron fan club.
So true….
Me too!
Love Sunday's recap videos! We get to hear Aaron's input and watch you guys collaborate.
LONG……….. tour videos are wonderful! They can never be too long for me.🌸💚🙃
Gasp!! 😲 Having a Hoselink would be a dream come true!! Good luck everyone!! 🤞🏻 Thank you for offering an amazing prize!! 🫶🏻
Too hot to garden outside! What a treat to get to watch Aaron & Laura on You Tube inside where it’s cool! Always a joy!
I can't tell you how you two have changed my life, my favorite thing to do now is work in my flower garden.
A hoselink would be a great addition to anyone's garden.
Thank you Laura and Aaron for inspiring us all !!!!
Love seeing the kids hanging around while you two are working together. Those are the best times of your lives.
Ik the kids gardening together with their parents...so so cutest ever!
Our ginger boy came to us and stayed. He is the sweetest boy.
I love that you've been including the kids running around lately. It's wonderful seeing them having fun in the garden you're creating!
Watching you never fails to inspire me to go outside and start digging!
A coffee and recap with Laura and Aaron. Thank you Hoselink for the sponsoring our favorite gardening people!
Absolutely!
Laura is the hard worker ever! Hoselink I will love it 💚
Thank you to Aaron and Laura for letting us all follow along with making their garden beautiful, helping friends and family, donating time and flowers and all the fun shopping trips they go on. 💖 Thank you to Hoselink for another chance to win a hose reel. Good luck everyone! 😊
I have been loving Benjamin wanting to be just like his parents. And seeing Samantha grow like a weed. You both do such a great job growing life.
Samantha has sprouted so fast! What do you feed her? And she reminds me so much of Laura.
I'm definitely in that stage of the season where I hate my garden hose 😂
The kids messing around in front of the camera was the cutest thing ever ❤️
I loved that!!❤
Yay, HOSELINK, thanks for another giveaway, which I'd love to have!
That's a great suggestion!
If I miss watching the recap each weekend, it’s like missing my family that I don’t get to see very often.
Always grateful for these highlight videos. Aaron is much more comfortable in front of the camera these days…good for him!
I love watch the videos with the children and cats and your natural way of involving and interacting with them.
You are my daily obsession that began during Covid and is still going strong. It is a joy to watch each episode!
Watching you grow all of these years has been inspirational for me.
Thank you for offering a Hoselink!
Love your recaps! You are family in our household. We thank God for your family!🙂🇺🇲🙂
With all the political and social turmoil, your channel is a steady breath of fresh air! Thank you for being there for us!!
I save watching your videos for my time on the treadmill. Only time I don't keep watching the time and distance is when I watch you and your fabulous family.
Can’t start my day without my daily dose of Laura and Aaron!
I enjoy the Sunday morning recap videos so much. I always learn so much from the questions and answers. Thank you for taking the time to make them!
When I walk by his study while watching Garden Answer, Husband says, "Laura's in the house!"😂
I love these weekly recaps!
Thank you to all involved in Garden Answer! Love these Q&As, too.
Also, thanks to Hoselink for their sponsorship, it looks like a great product!
My favorite way to end the week watching re-cap before Church!
Thank you for beautiful garden shows Laura and Aaron . Thank you for inspiring and entertaining us.

Love seeing the kiddos running around enjoying the areas you’ve work hard creating!
Oh my gosh, what an amazing space you have created with the Hartley, the parterre, and now the huge brick patio. So so stunning! Very inspiring!
These recaps are so fun + relaxing at the same time! Inspiring, informative and all things GORGEOUS!!!
Thank you for being such an inspiration to all fellow gardeners! Over the years you have taught me sooooo much! Thank you! Keep it coming! ❤
