    JQ should really drop the name "Business" and call this for what it is - "Premium Economy." It will probably save alot of confusion! :) (Jetstar Kit)

      I strongly agree. I was about to make the same comment but you beat me to it. It’s Premium Economy. But this is reflected in the price which is very low.

      Several years ago I flew from Perth to Brisbane BC with Qantas. Problem was my connecting flight from Brisbane to Roma was on a bloody Q400 turboprop. I had the world's largest carry-on suitcase (flew in on BC see) which wouldn't fit on the smaller plane. Qantas quickly and efficiently dealt with it. Put a sticker on the suitcase and into the hold. My luggage was off the plane at Roma before I was. This is probably the sort of "problem" Jetstar would freak out about.

    (Jetstar Kit) Nice video!😊It’s good to see that the FA’s were better than on your last flight with Jetstar. I personally don’t like the windows on the 787 as the dimming option is just not as good as a shade, and the large size doesn’t compensate for it. The cabin is also quite narrow, but the cabin pressure and moisture settings are way superior to the 777.

    The other day I was flying to Gold Coast from Sydney in a Jetstar 787. I was seat at 12A right next to engine, and I found it surprisingly quiet. I flew a lot with Jetstar, and as you said, I do not have much complaint even if the experience is not always pleasant as we need to manage our expectation knowing that it is a budge airline.

    Hi Paul. Thanks for another informative, entertaining and honest review. I’ve flown Jetstar’s economy class on a few occasions (including long haul) and have found their product to be perfectly adequate for the price that I paid. I have no horror stories although, as you alluded in your review, there seem to be plenty of them out there. Low cost carriers certainly seem to be here to stay and it’s hard to argue that they haven’t had a major impact on the aviation and tourism industries as they have helped bring airline travel to the masses.

    (JetstarKit) Hi Mr. Robot. :) I like the sound of your voice with it's variations. Very dry, sardonic, amused and of course excited when talking about the planes. I have heard so many different comments about Jetstar that I am afraid to use them. Especially if I was to travel to an important event. I know what you mean about those windows. It was never going to work if the crew could control them. Not everyone is the same.

    A nice short hop, Paul... I suspect I wouldn't bother with the extra that business class brings you from Mel > Syd, but on a longer flight, it would be great... those seats look comfy. I'm going on an NZ Dreamliner next month (I hope... unless it gets swapped out last minute for dumbass Trent maintenance 🙃) so I'm eager to see if the windows remain dimmed during the day as well... 🤣 Enjoy your next flight, Paul.

      On the contrary, I doubt a failed wingtip would cause any problems other than making for a popular youtube video. It would simply break off and the aircraft would continue on to their destination (with slightly worse fuel economy).

      Interesting. I guess the composite body is difficult and expensive to build although it's a bit of a step backwards.

    • @karlp8484
      @karlp8484 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@PaulStewartAviation It's a cost/benefit thing. Aluminium is hugely cheaper than CF/Kevlar/Nomex composite. Ally just comes from a coil and gets stamped and the frame (also stamped) pop riveted to it and you're done for a whole section of fuselage. You want to check out the frigging about to do the same thing with composites. Not helped by the fact that Boeing also rivets the composite panels which makes no sense if you trust it to not delaminate.
