    Yes, yes we ALL know this: A Toyota or a Honda. 🙂 However, life is short and no one wants to drive a Camry for 15 years. Please do a "best of the rest" most reliable. Exclude Toyota and Honda completely and give us the top 5.

      That is so true! When I was deciding on buying a car, my practical side was thinking of a Honda Accord. But my other half was saying you only live once. Considering my age and budget I was surmising this will probably be the last car I'll ever own. As much as my conservative side told me that the Honda was my best bet, I went with my heart and brought a Bright Yellow (Hate boring, conforming colors) Camaro RS. Best decision I ever made.

    I love watching all of your videos with so much great information!! Thank you for the all of the advice and what you do. With that being said, I wanted to ask you about the BMW X3M40i. I bought a new 2022 model in April and would really appreciate your thoughts on the reliability of this SUV and in particular the 3.0 inline turbo 6.

    • @ECPP
      @ECPP  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks for the support and I will start by saying they you bought one of their best vehicles on the current lineup. I reviewed this vehicles a couple years back and really loved it. I found the handling a little odd with a dartiness at highway speeds but generally very sharp handling overall. The engine feels stout in this vehicle and in the X5 it would feel just adequate. Overall a great drivetrain and much fun tech in that car and love the latest I drive and the cool mood lighting features. The B58 in that vehicle is the best engine right now and is proving to be a significant update for BMW i terms of reliability and the fact Toyota has adopted it for the Supra also confirms some of what I have experienced. I will not say it will be problem free and with higher miles I would start to anticipate coolant and oil leaks as we typically find, but it’s the best chance of reliable motoring in the BMW brand.

    • @billmorris6672
      @billmorris6672 ปีที่แล้ว

      I appreciate the detailed response and yes I agree about the same engine just being adequate in the X5. I like those as well and test drove the X5 but it was too big and from everything I find in my research, the X5 is just not as reliable. Funny you mentioned the same engine in the X5 that the X3 M40i has because I test drove the M240i a couple of years ago and that thing is a beast! Lots of fun to drive but a little coupe wasn't for me. I believe that the M240i has the same engine as my X3M40i. I traded in my 2020 X2M35i in April on the X3 and have to say that the X2 was a blast as well especially in sport mode but didn't like the turbo lag. I don't really notice the turbo lag in my new X3. Have to say that it kinda stinks how everyone is going to CVT tranys now along with 2.0 turbo 4's. IMO, the jury is out as far as how reliable all of the turbo 4's will be even with Toyota. Curious to see how the turbo's last in the years to come. I guess I have the mindset now that I just want fun vehicles to drive and will just trade them in a few years before the warranty is over. Thanks and have a great weekend.

    What year Acura MDX to you recommend on buying? I have looked at 2017, 2019, and 2020. I prefer a 2022 because of the new transmission (10 speed) and new interior styling but out of my budget. What do you consider a fair price to offer a dealer based on year. Example price for 2017 with tech. pkg, 2019 with tech pkg, 2020 with tech pkg. I'm avoiding the 2018 years because of what have be reported in consumer report having issues with the transmission.

    I've got that same Genesis, 4 years now and humming along with 50K. A couple of issues. Battery and starter failed. and had a water leak in trunk. Otherwise it has been reliable . One thing irks me though. If you want remote start, you must subscribe for $200 a year.
