I had a deposit down on an IS 350 F-Sport. The blue was much prettier than that Acura. But I ended up getting an Audi A5 instead. The biggest factor was the hatchback and the extra space in the rear. You just can't get that in many sedans. The 350 had a normal small trunk. The A5 also gets much better gas mileage (I average 28, about 5 mpg better than the Lexus). Both have a very smooth ride and plush interiors (I will admit the Lexus seats were hands-down the best I've ever felt). But I liked the engine in the Audi better than the Lexus. It's hard to describe, but the Lexus just felt "thick" and sluggish compared to the Audi. Also, some of the tech is a little dated in the 350, like their touchpad on the center console. I am very happy with my A5, but I do miss that beautiful blue coat on the Lexus.

My '13 GS350 has been far, far better than my '12 MB350 E in every respect, and much less expensive to maintain. The Lexus service experience is also far nicer than Mercedes in my experience.
In my opinion, Toyota and Lexus are overvalued, even used. Most Japanese brands are quite reliable and a much better value…especially Mazda, Infiniti, even Nissan. Just don’t get the CVT’s on the Nissan’s. Plus I’ve always found the styling on Toyota/Lexus a tad askew. I have a 2020 Infiniti QX80 and it has been flawless, and RepairPal validates that, stating average annual repair cost $638, and I’ve never had that much…in my first year of ownership.
They are very reliable and low cost but I also do agree to a point that people put on horse blinders just to get even a poor example. There are some many great options out there these days.

Turbo engines often can go 0ver 200k no problem! That's a lot imo. What do you want them to last 4 to 500k miles lol?
@@germanengineering204 hey it would work for me!
My '13 GS350 has been far, far better than my '12 MB350 E in every respect, and much less expensive to maintain. The Lexus service experience is also far nicer than Mercedes in my experience.
The Lexus ES 350 is, indeed, a luxurious and reliable car. It is not rear-wheel drive, however. It is FWD. The 250 version is AWD.
Great cars
@@ECPP agreed
As always I enjoy watching this channel!
But I guess audi 3.0t does not make supercharged engines since 2016.
2017 and up they make twin turbocharger.
The grill in Lexus is UGLY
Scotty says stay away from turbos.
Haha, funny because even Toyotas are all goi g turbos now too
The es is fwd
U funny man 😂
Thank you
Honestly. I’ve owned one BMW before it was the N54 engine probably the worst engine ever made reliability wise. But besides the engine, there were other things wrong with the car too. Just don’t trust BMW no matter what the media and “JD Power” is pushing.
Wait so these new BMWs can last over 300k miles like a Toyota/Lexus?
Es 350. 2023 ???
The es350 is not real wheel drive! Dude just be talking😢😢
ES is fwd
Aldi's of beautiful cars but have terrible reliability
Nope to bmw I traded my 340ix for a Lexus RX 350 which was a huge upgrade than the bmw
Hi Mark you are right those are rock steady with that outgoing V6. Lexus now though is getting rid of that Na engine and the new turbo 2.4 will be a new challenge on reliability
Upgrade in reliability, but half the drivers car!!
@@germanengineering204 my Lexus doesn’t leak air from all over the doors. The 340 was a huge disappointment compared to the other three we had. Dealership could figure out why this was happening even after they replaced all the door seals
But driving it in -8 degrees with all that cold air leaking in at shoulder height did not make for an enjoyable experience
It was a beautiful automobile
But my Lexus is much quieter and a much better ride and doesn’t have those ridiculous run flat tires

I think those Lexus are front wheel drive not real wheel
He for got to say Cvt lexus
what in the sigma was that grimacne
The same again Lexuses and the Acura and a BMW and Audi thrown in for good measure
Rusty Audi ?

Ayo why’d he smack the fuck outta us god damn
Thanks for watching
@@ECPP thanks for giving out cool information looking for a decent luxury car to buy the most reliable one at that I’ll continue doing my research you’re feed back is appreciated thanks for the interesting videos
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm? "Beautiful & Fake" I'm ThiMk'n do not belong in the same sentence???! I.e. "Beautiful Fake ventilation" air intake that are plastic OUCH! on the Acura.
They can live together on the same car
Reliability of Audi???
Well…..
whatever you say about Audi, you are always wrong! Nothing to do with reliability...
Nice
@@ECPP you didn't mention my car though: LS500H-much better than Audi, any Audi 🙊
For a car guy n channel. You need to be more knowledgeable about what you’re talking about. Most Lexus are fwd just like the es350 that you first mentioned. 😅

Never. I MEAN NEVER EVER EVER buy a newer Toyota or Lexus products again. But a Honda and Acura I’m fan with those and it’s way more cheaper than Toyotas. Old Toyota is the best reliability. But newer one 2022 2023 models all of the Toyotas and Lexuses the quality just going downhill
Supply chain problems impacting all industries.
@@erik0073here’s the problematic with a Turbo engine with a small engine they ditched the 3.5 V6 and they switched to four cylinder turbo and hybrid. For a small cars that’s not bad at all. But for a SUVs trucks that’s a hilarious
❤
I'm in a 2018 genesis g90
163k miles very minor issues over the years.
Wonder if it can hang with Lexus longer term.
