Tina Lenert was the first female magician I saw & that was after starting in magic. She is one of the reasons I felt compelled to start this Magical Women channel. To document and have a source to learn more about important Women in Magic.

Awww, I remember about this Mr. Mopman act, haven't seen it in a while. Thanks for bringing me these memories and an opportunity to go check it again. And very nice to learn more about Tina, the mind behind this poetic magical mimesque crossover.

ciao Alk, Thanks for commenting, I always enjoy to hear from you. Tina is so gracious and talented, I'm so happy to read that her talk brought back happy memories. She is one of the reasons I started this Magical Women channel, to document and have a visual source to experience talent like Tina's. Keep an eye out for Tina's 2nd sequel talk, it's worth watching and waiting for.

Incredible to find this here! My dad was an artist and theologian. Very few works made him pause in depth like Tina's "Mop Man", an inclusion with the likes of Orson Welles and Handel.
He was very much struck with the impact of mime, and strived to perfect it when given the opportunity at our local IBM.
The lyrics of Bobby McFerrin come to mind, "... time to take the words away..."
Sharing the important and special things with all his seven children was one of the most important things to him, in a world of noise.
Even today, I've been given insights into a conversation I had with a ballerina friend, regarding modesty, play, and innocence, through watching your original mime routine for the first time.
I know I speak for my brothers and sisters when I say, you are most special to us Tina!
    Thank you!

I remember seeing Tina do her "Ring, Silk and Chair" routine in London some years ago.i was blown away - literally, jaw on floor. I may have been almost as impressed when she acted as a simultaneous translator for a Rene Lavande lecture at the same event. She has always impressed me more than almost any other magician in the effort and heart that she puts into her art. Thank you, Connie, for bringing this to us.
If I had the chance to ask a question of Tina, it would be this: she must have performed Mr Mopman hundreds, if not thousands, of times; I've seen maybe half a dozen different performances of it and every time it seems original and fresh. How does she do that?

I remember Ms. Lenert's performances at the Magic Castle as being remarkable and outstanding. I was in the Long Beach Mystics when Mike Caveney performed his Thimble routine, which was also fabulous.
