#BoDiddley #ImAMan - เพลง
As a student in the 70's in Perth Australia, I would study until about 11.00pm, then walk into Perth from Subiaco & go to a night club called Beethoven's where Bo was playing. My mates were on the door & as a poor student I somehow got in for nothing !!! I attended 4 nights in a row. What a memory. Bo said "Man - You Been Here Every Night" & I replied: You're The Man. What a memory. My studies weren't so good then. He could get a venue moving.
I wish I could have seen Bo Diddley and John Lee Hooker on the same stage - woulda' been awesome.
He was a second or third cousin of mine. He lived on the south side of Chicago and use to play on the street corner, I was told. He and the rest of my family were all from the Macomb, Mississippi area. I met him once in a little club in Chicago. I was with my aunt. She knew him. I didn't know how important he was in the Rock and Roll world until a musician I know mentioned him and I told him we were related. He bowed to me......
I will go to my grave happy to know that I saw Bo Diddley perform live.
might go to heaven when u check next take
As long as he doesn't go down there with all the Joe Biden loving gun banning clowns.. Rip brotha Bo
Lucky you...He came to Australia before he died and I didn't even know he was performing over here.

Much Kudos to Bo but the great Muddy Waters is the Originator of this song....unmatched and unrivaled but Bo did his thang!

True legend of Blues coming out of Mississippi. Robert Johnson, Howlin Wolf, Muddy Waters, BB King, John Lee Hooker, Albert King all from Mississippi. Oh yeah, the so called king Elvis Presley also from Mississippi.
Southern music. Both black and white kill it. Poor rural folks had soul and feeling.
Did mention the man tearing up that box Bo Diddley one of the Kings of blues

LYRICS:
Now when I was a little boy,
At the age of five,
I had somethin' in my pocket,
Keep a lot of folks alive.
Now I'm a man,
Made twenty-one,
You know baby,
We can have a lot of fun.
I'm a man,
I spell M-A-N... man.
All you pretty women,
Stand in line,
I can make love to you baby,
In an hour's time.
I'm a man,
I spell M-A-N... man.
I goin' back down,
To Kansas to
Bring back the second cousin,
Little John the conqueroo.
I'm a man,
I spell M-A-N... man.
The line I shoot,
Will never miss,
The way I make love to 'em,
They can't resist.
I'm a man,
I spell M-A-N... man.
It's a great song for when your Willy Willy Man takes Paul Jones' money and joins his Army. And for getting ready to defend the honor of your Big Mama and keeping her from becoming a bald headed geek.
Exactly
What year?
manish boy
No, Diddley song the original. Muddy Waters was a copy, changed a bit.
Anyone know's what kind of guitar is that? would be awesome to know .... TY
I'm pretty sure this one's custom, but he played and has a Gretsch Signature model as well. :)
+Grant Andrews Yes i've been looking and yes its a custom G6138 guitar the sound is just incredible and the price nowdays kinda salty
+Jonathan Salinas Yeah man, sadly that's Gretsch these days.
Jonathan Salinas the headstone of his grave is shaped like his guitar!!! It’s huge! Bronson, FL out in the country
