Lymph Nodes are glands situated in neckin either side starting from below the skull right down going to the chest. Each Lymph Node drain out the structures in the throat as well as the thyroid. So these Lymph Nodes are the watering stations or the place where the infections gets restricted. So if there is a Lymph Nodes that gets enlarged then there is some infection in some area leading to infection that is getting into the Lymph Nodes and getting stationed. Till such time the body immune system takes action. So Lymph Nodes is caused by infection, tumors that can be stopped at the level of the Lymph Nodes. This defense system is situated and they have multiple connections.

My cousin was in the hospital with very swollen lymph nodes in her neck on the left side, the doctors said she has a very bad infection. Had her on different antibiotics it made the fever break but after 10days & 2 CT scans and numerous blood tests they couldnt tell her where the infection came from. Fast forward 2 weeks she still on Antibiotics and the lymph node in her neck is still swollen. She requested a biopsy of the lymph node the doctors refused to do that in the hospital. ENT & Infectious disease doctors weren't able to give her any answers except its a bad infection. Im very concerned for her health & diagnosis they are telling her , what other tests could they perform to get to a solution?

Ive apparently had one since I was a kid. Felt around, and I luckily couldnt really find one. Supposed to get an MRI soon; ive told its on my thyroid but my mom was supposed to follow up from an ultrasound for it years ago.

Still in the same spot it's not getting worse been doing a stretch routine and keeping up with my hygiene better like the doctor told me to do.
I just got to get a new round of meds and quit smoking cigarettes like he suggested
i have one under my jaw line , it is so painful. i csnt even open my mouth . like it hurts really bad trying to , so i barely can eat , its hurts to look up , sometimes it causes ear pain . i can barely sleep . no home remedies been workin so far. ...idk what else to do

@@mdvlogandfun6565 I had an open excisional biopsy… First was diagnosed with lymphoma, then it was found to be incorrect and I was diagnosed with Kikuchi Fujimoto disease. Had to go on a long course of prednisone but it did help and I’m starting to feel better… I start medical school next month

I got sick a few months ago, I searched, when you get sick your lymph nodes enlarges but it returns to normal after 2 weeks, my lymph node is still swollen until now. What could this be? I'm afraid this could be serious.

Ive been struggling recently with gingivitis and just 2 weeks ago this little swollen lump next to my throat in the front appeared and I immediately looked up what it was For days i self diagnosed myself with I have cancer and different diseases but havent seen my doctor its been 2 weeks now and now im sick? Also as soon as i got it i felt like something was lodged in my throat and it sorta ached when i pushed on it and it randomly appeared for some reason im thinking it was a mild infection that over time turned into a serious infection that I have now (2 weeks later) I really dont know what this is?? Im also visiting the doctor in a couple days

@@Nick12-qo3qq no I talked to my doctor and they told me its soft and pea sized I am currently sick now so they thought it was my immune system working to fight off an infection they thought it was an infection that was minor but over time got worse and made me sick now which is why it swelled up in reaction to that
My mother told me to massage my glands, did it once and now have sore and swollen gland ( side of neck under ear.) . If its not broke dont trycand fix it . 😒
I have one under my neck directly under my chin. My tongue is swollen under one side. It hurts to swallow my own saliva. I have been to four medical doctors and and ENT but they don't seem to know what it is. The first doctor said it would go away, it was normal. So I went to an ENT he said he wasn't sure what it was but he didn't want to bother it if I could bare, call him if it becomes unbearable. The third doctor, my pcp didn't exam me and did nothing so I went to an urgent care doctor who did exam me and put me on antibiotics and told me i needed to get an ultrasound, but he couldn't order it my pcp would have to. I went to see a forth doctor who said he didn't know. Im so glad i saw your video

I have pain on the left side of my throat.. roughly I feel it's closed to my jugular vein... some days the pain is so severe that I can feel it's while moving my head or swallowing.
I have an ulcer sort of in my inner linings of the cheeks since 1 year.

Pay attention. Last month, I went to my ENT- deviated septum. Well. Found out that's the least of my concerns. The PA scoped me. Needless to say. There is a mass behind my right tonsil and oh down. I have lupus, so I thought it was a swollen lymph node on the right side is my neck. I was wrong. I postponed my CT til after the holidays, so I go next week. Was told to come back the next day..to discuss treatments.
I am a smoker of 30 years. If you smoke - please stop. If you feel pain, start having ear infections - go to the Dr. Don't self-diagnose, as I did.

I have calcium on my thryoid and I am always inflamed in my neck and it hurts. I do have nodules .

I have 5 r 6 swollen lymphnodes in my neck from last 4 years...at first ot started painfull lymphnodes nodes,high fever (103°cfor 2 weeks continuesly )chills neck pain and vomitings...got fnac done it came maybe TB but blood test for TB came negative later when to eye,ENT,dermatologist and dental doctors everything was fine at last after 6months of onset of symptoms got a biopsy done which came " active lymphocytes " doctors said it was normal and I got new swollen lymphnode at the place where biopsy was done....and a PET scan was done to see any presence of tumors and there were no tumors it's been 4 years now I still have swollen lymphnodes which some times pains.....

So what was it....i actually have one above my adam's apple for almost 2 years....and it didn't bother me although i visited a doctor but it was almost one and half year ago....but now i am a bit concerned so i will be going to the doctor again next week

@@MCAAmarchingBandOfficial i actually went to 2 doctors a genaral physician and an ent....both said its nothing to worry about...they also did an usg....the reports said it was most probably a thyroglossal cyst....so i am feeling pretty chill now lol....the doctor recommended an FNAC too (to be totally sure) which i will be doing after some weeks lol (because fnac hurts )

My face swelling and eyes swelling...the whole day it looks like swelling...cbc,urine test kidni test liver test all normal.
Thyroid test also normal
For thyroid check it properly because even though it may come out normal there is a range where it should be
I had hyperthyroidism symptoms but the doctor told me I'm fine but I read the results and I was on the edge of the spectrum
Maybe you need to see an allergy doctor to do some skin testing, might be able to help you. Good luck.

My right lymph node has been enlarged since November or I guess little before that but I noticed it in November and it’s painful, I’m kinda scared I was seen by a ent PA I was seen twice but she said she doesn’t see anything concerning but it kinda concerns me bc it’s enlarged and painful

How about when it swells after eating? It will go down a few hours after eating but while eating I've noticed growth in the lymph node area of my neck.

Hello, I've being doing the same, is your swollen lymph node already gone ?
My 2 submental nodes have been swollen for almost a month now. It swollen out of nowhere that's why I got extremely worried right away. Then after a week, I got sick. I started to have a cough, fever and colds at the same time so I went to the doctor. The doctor I went to said that I only have tonsillitis and there are no problems with my lungs after she examined me.
It's been almost 3 weeks since I got sick but the cold keeps coming back. The antibiotics that my doctor prescribed to me worked on my tonsils but the lymph nodes are still very visible. They are moveable, soft and still painful to touch. They are not growing. They are still pea sized as usual. I now have difficulties of letting out mucus and I'm concerned more than ever. I'm considering going to the doctor next week. Can you advise what should I do? This is the first time this has happened to me.

I don’t know whats going on with my body either. I migrated to canada one year ago and now i have two cervical swollen lymph nodes since three months and palpable. I went to emergency after getting mental breakdown of anxiety, they did my ultrasound and some blood work. After 10hours of waiting in ER, they said , there is nothing. All reports are normal. Yes lymph nodes are enlarged but under normal range. I have no one to speak to for this concern and i am loosing my mind due to that. Also, i have been loosing weight slowly.

@@meenurangoliit is still same. No improvement. I am unsure of that where you are located but i am in Canada. I got to learn that mono is very common here and unfortunately doctors here diagnosed me with a past infection of epstein bar virus. I developed swollen lymph in march 2024.
They are still there. Only difference is, initially they didn’t cause me any pain but now i have pain on my neck but it is on and off. If I stress, it doubles. Also, my throat is very inflamed still. They are mono symptoms only what i have but i am loosing weight as well and i have shoulder pain too. On and off again.
So after seeing 12 different doctors from may until today, got 4 usg of neck and plenty of bloodwork, i am trying to stay calm as i cannot do anything about it. I might travel india next month for my concern.

Hello, two months ago, I suffered from an abscess and inflammation of the gums and lasted for a week, and there was a lot of pus and blood coming out of it, and when I was asleep, I did not feel swallowing from it, then I suffered severe pain in the throat and neck, and I swelled a lymph node at firstIt was big and painful, I took some antibiotics. The abscess of the gums went and the pain went and the lymph node was still swollen and I had a small and swollen one that became very clear when I turned. Is this normal or should I go to the doctor

@@aratrikasingh9134 Hey Artika, i got it checked early and got an FNAC test done. Although i was in the clear, i was given anti bacterial medication to cure the infection that occurred in my Lymphatic nodes. it got completely dissolved. so unless it has been few days, get the doc to assign you some med to cure infection and if it does not help then only go for an FNAC. otherwise is the bump is too small, a proper sample won't be collected and it will be sheer waste of your money, even it is an expensive test. I am speaking from my own experience as this also happened in my case.

I have lymph node a lot in my neck it start when my tooth infection,, then I go for laboratory, ct scan, ultrasound ang blood test, thanks god the results is all negative, the doctor told me that lymph nodes is normal ,, because of my tooth infection.

I am dealing with the same situation
Ive been struggling recently with gingivitis and just 2 weeks ago this little swollen lump next to my throat in the front appeared and I immediately looked up what it was For days i self diagnosed myself with I have cancer and different diseases but havent seen my doctor its been 2 weeks now and now im sick? Also as soon as i got it i felt like something was lodged in my throat and it sorta ached when i pushed on it and it randomly appeared for some reason im thinking it was a mild infection that over time turned into a serious infection that I have now (2 weeks later) I really dont know what this is?? Im also visiting the doctor in a couple days

I’ve had a swollen lymph node for about 4 months now , with no sign of infection , I also have hives and a sever itch which has been going on for about 6 months , any idea on what this could be doctor .?

I regret getting the booster because I was diagnosed with Graves’ disease and hyperthyroidism, which was probably caused by inflammation that the booster brought to the surface! I have been dealing with not getting enough air I been to ER so many times they check my oxygen saturation and they tell me I’m breathing fine but till this day They can’t figure out why I have I always have to take deep breaths I feel like I don’t get enough air what could be the reason behind this they did a chest X-ray they said everything looks good and my right lymph node is a little enlarge

Dude same with me. I honestly started noticing it in 2020 when i started running a lot. I breathe fine, but sometimes i need to take a deep breathe for satisfaction. It sometimes feels like a tick. Also sometimes when i dont think about it, its fine, but when i do i start to do it. It comes in waves honestly. My blood oxygen levels seem fine. Did they check that? As long as those are fine then its good. Update pls

Recently I've had a swollen feeling towards the middle of my left jawline. It literally grew in the span of 2 hours?? There's no pain but I can feel that my left side under my jaw is swollen.. It's been 3 days now.

Urgh. I hope and pray I don’t have a std. i had unprotected sex with a girl who had multiple partners last week. My lymph nodes are very swollen now. I’m worried I have a std. along with other symptoms like pain in the groin and even slight discomfort with urinating. Just frustrates me so much because the girl hasn’t been honest about her symptoms and wish she would’ve told me.
