OMG Dr. Berg. I have spent thousands, thinking I have throat cancer, thyroid issues. Everything has come back normal. I refused to give up!! I have watched you for years but couldn't describe what is happening in my throat! Just a lump accompanied with horrid fatigue. I have EBV, tons of stress in my life and I bet this could be it. I ordered the Calcium lactate, your V. D and echinacea blend. I PRAY this is finally the answer. Thank you for your FREE videos. They are helping so many people!! Blessings!!

I really dont know. You might have some issues with esophagus. I just saw a video when guy from stress had part of his esophagus smaller. And the food couldn't go down. You could try calcium. Its cheap solution and for me it worked in 3 days. I also would recommended Vit D maybe 10-15 000 IU and see if this helps @@ldristt

@@amberandmarcosolis5803 Hi thank you for checking in on me. I’m ok thank you. Had a neck ultrasound at the time and a Ent doctor check inside my throat. The feeling of a lump stuck in my throat did go away after about 5 months, it was due to tons of stress and severe health anxiety. My daily thoughts were constantly about my throat and overall health, so things just got worse mentally for me and the physical feelings kept becoming more intense and it felt so real. Constant tightness wrapping around my throat, kept having to clear my throat, something kept grabbing the front of my throat and it was a nightmare to deal with. But it all went away when I learned to deal with my anxiety and stress and took up CBT and also used a EFT tapping technique which helped so much. I also started going back out with my friends, etc! All of this combined really helped the throat lump and tightness feeling. Thank you once again.

I've had these symptoms for a while, and recently made an appointment to see my doctor about it. It's no coincidence this has popped up though; our actions online are heavily tracked and monitored. I have searched for "lump in the throat" to see what it might be about, so I'm not surprised this video has "suddenly" appeared as a suggestion for me. I went to my gastroenterologist feeling that food was stuck in my esophagus. The doctor said I had Globus Sensation and there was nothing stuck in my throat. I ran home to research it and found out most people suffering from Globus Sensation receive relief almost immediately just from the reassurance nothing was stuck in their throat.
That’s what happened to me! It was gone by the time I got home. I even made screen shots of the info on the ‘reassurance’ par. My friends already think I’m nuts as this is all hard to believe but it worked 100% for me.
THEN…you mentioned Tetany and I almost fell over as I have that bothersome twitch below my eye.
I got calcium lactate and the twitching disappeared in less than a week.
I have GERD and it hasn’t bothered me at all since taking calcium lactate.
Thank you for your informative videos Dr. Berg. You changed my life by improving my health leaps and bounds!!
    Forever grateful,
    Nancy

Just wanted to share my experience here I started having this issue from 28 oct and now it's 25 Nov but i'm feeling way way better now this sensation has been bothering me for more than 2 weeks it's comes and kinda goes randomly made me really sick and tired but have no pain or trouble swallowing food or liquid, sometimes felt like i have slight shortness of breath for a brief moment finally went to see ENT Doc he said it's a classic common Globus Pharyngeal gave me meds for GERD ( your common PPI ), Allergy and anxiety which i've been taking for a week now Im also trying Apple cider vinegar twice daily I can't be sure if it's the meds kicking in or the Apple cider vinegar 95% of globus feeling is gone finally it's a relief

What you just said is 100% accurate. I have been going through a very stressful situation and got throat stress, which developed pain and swelling, and is still on the left side of my throat. I also used many medications as recommended by an ENT. When I relax, it comes back and goes after a stressful situation. It has been months and I still feel some sensations. I had allergy rhinites and I would sneeze constantly. At first, I thought sneezing hurt my throat, but now I rarely sneeze, but I still feel muscle stress like a slight pain. Could you please give me any suggestions since sometimes I feel the pain like it's in my left side of head but it's actually in my throat that attaches to the lower jawline. to add more I have got black circles which getting little better but my eyes feel like weak.

Crazy how many suffer from this. Mine started about a month ago with a piece of rice getting stuck down by my thyroid. Which I have hypothyroidism. Since then, I have been having to be so careful. I also noticed burping and occasional sour coming up. The other day really freaked me out as I had a small chip get stuck. I immediately bit a small piece of bread and that felt like it got stuck. The panic did not help. I tried walking and relaxing with drinking a juice. It eventually went down. Scary! It almost had that feeling of a burp coming up, getting stuck and eventually going down. I am going to try Calcium Lactate. Found one on Amazon that does 520mg per serving. I will try to update (I notice no one responds to how they are now).

Yes.. I wanted to give some time is all. It’s hard to evaluate if you don’t. So, I tried the calcium and my throat has relaxed. It did happen the other day but I noticed stress was a factor. Then I added magnesium taurate the other day. I also believe the indigestion played a part. I am on a diet program called “Total health”. It’s only been 2 weeks. We shall see. If I had to make a list. I would say: processed food, stress and over weight
Those could be triggers to the tightening.. for me.

I just recently got sick. Never been so sick. Took some Amoxicillin for what I thought was an infection (honerly I thought it was tonsillitis). I couldn't eat because my throat felt so dry. And I couldn't stop spitting up mucus. 2 days after getting sick, I noticed I couldn't swallow well. Throat felt strange. Then I simply couldn't eat. Nothing would go down. Not jell-O not pudding... nothing. And if it did, I felt like I was gonna choke or had to hock it up because it was stuck in my throat.
Now I don't feel sick anymore. I lost 28lbs, due to thd fact I can't swallow properly. Gonna try the Vitamin D and calcium. See if that works. Thank you...

I have been having sore throats for more than one month. Went to clinic and they gave me some antibiotics, followed doctors prescriptions and after one week no improvement. It was 4 days after the antibiotics that I started feeling like if there’s lump on my throat and it was slight painful. I decided to try garlic. I ate one clove of raw garlic last thing before going to bed 2 nights ago . Ate one clove of garlic first thing when I woke up from sleep and last night ate one clove of garlic before going to bed and this the same first thing this morning. The lump gone. Sore throat gone. The pain I feel when I touch my throat no more. Try raw garlic and let me know your result.
Remember. The garlic dey very hot for mouth oo. Very hot I must say. Even in your stomach but the pain will not last more than one or two minutes and it subsides. I chew the garlic and swallow it without drinking liquid. If you can, try it and let us know your result.

Guys I had this problem. I went to a doctor , what he told me was that it was due to acid reflux which was caused by me staying inside the house for most hours and not enough getting fresh air. He told me go out in fresh air and run or engage in physical activites . He gave me a pack of chewing gums to chew for few times a day. When we chew , our saliva goes in our throat and it doen't allow acid reflux to build up. And he also advised me not to eat high fat Cheez or drink high fat milk before bed as it hard to digest and causes acid reflux. He gave some medicines, I took them for 2 days only.
But the suggestions helped me totally and I have never had that problem again as of yet.

One of the commenters claimed that instead of calcium lactate, magnesium helped her symptoms. luckily i had dark chocolate with 85% on hand, which is one of most magnesium rich-foods therefore i took a small bite and somehow the swallow pain eased instantly 😮.. maybe it's related to chocolate could effectively reduce cortisol level. Dear Dr. Berg,
I have been experiencing the sensation of *globus* since late February, which started about 40 days after my father passed away. I underwent a gastroscopy, and the results appeared mostly normal, except for a small hiatal hernia without esophagitis. I was on proton pump inhibitors for a while and watched my diet carefully, which I still do. I also visited an ENT specialist, but I did not receive a clear diagnosis. I live in Greece. The ENT prescribed a sedative, which initially helped for about two days when I didn’t feel the sensation. After that, it was somewhat helpful but not as much.
Now I also experience a lot of bloating and don’t know what to do. I used to weigh 98 kilograms, but I’ve lost weight and now weigh 77 kilograms. What would you recommend?

I didn’t know about the mold until later on but my ENT doctor thought I was crazy when I had the lump in my throat . Was horrible! So mold is definitely a culprit . We moved back to Georgia and I never had another symptom .

Years ago I had a throat type spasm which became more painful until I stretched my neck upward and swallowed and heard a pop as if something was popping back in place. Another time my neck would not pop into place so I went to the ER and the doc havd no idea what it was, gave me a muscle relaxer shot which immediately helped. Other times, feels like food gets stuck in my throat (gerd) and all I can do is relax and it takes a couple of minutes for the food go down.
