Thank you. I was just diagnosed with this. The doctor told me to eat sour candy, drink lots of water and massage. Not really explaining very well. You told me everything and now I feel confident in this. Hopefully I will have success. Thanks again!

Same here went to get checked a year ago, told the doctor I have a stone, poked it with a Popsicle stick and said "yea you have a stone, suck on some sour stuff and drink water." Then charged me $150 for the visit, that experience has left me feeling "sour" about the medical system ever since.

Took 2 days to get rid of the stone following these techniques. What a relief! The only thing I added was a warm compress for a few minutes when the pain and swelling kicked in after eating.

I’m suffering from Chronic Sialadenitis. In my case, my neck is swollen up and has become hard like a rock and unlike most others here, I do not have any stones and this was confirmed by taking an Ultrasound and even a CT scan. I wasn’t able to swallow without feeling pain. Have been on antibiotics for a month now, I’m also taking warm compresses, sucking on lollipops and trying to keep myself hydrated. Fortunately the pain has reduced and the swelling is still there although it’s reduced. I’ve consulted 4 doctors and they’re just prescribing antibiotics. This is the worst kind of disease to have especially when doctors themselves are clueless

I found Dr’s to be useless for the past 3 years with my chronic health issues! Nobody could help me. Until I found a Biological Dentist to extract an old root canal. #31, the last tooth on the bottom right. Just had it extracted 4 days ago and the chronic Eosinophilic Asthma I was diagnosed with last year has ceased within 1 day of having that root canal extracted. I have not had to use my inhaler since! I wasn’t having any pain, swelling or fever.
However, in my long journey to find out what the root cause was to all my health issues I have read and researched lots of articles and literature on the subject of root canals. They are detrimental to your overall health and can most definitely cause systemic health problems, autoimmune diseases, heart disease and even cancers. Regardless of pain or swelling in the area.
My gland under my jaw where that root canal sat for so many years was always a little swollen and a tiny bit sensitive. Now 4 days out from the extraction of that tooth and the pain is so unbearable right now, not even the extraction site. The pain is coming from that gland, even with pain meds and antibiotics. The gland is super swollen now. I have no doubt now that the gland was definitely connected to that tooth. I am calling the Biological Dentist who did the extraction first thing in the morning. Not sure if she’ll just keep me on antibiotics longer or have me come into the office. I just feel like if it could be drained I would have immediate relief! ☹️
Looking into a Biological Dentist and having a CBCT 3D imaging done might be worth looking into. Hope this is helpful!

Thanks for explaining. Im currently experiencing this. On Father’s Day this year my throat swelled up out of no where. I ended up going to the ED/ER. After blood test, strep test and CT scan they came to the conclusion of this salivary gland infection. They couldn’t explain why and how the stones are formed. They put me on antibiotics and told me to do these things. I never made a follow up appointment with an ENT doc. Fast forward to today 7/19/24 and I ended up back in the ER for the same thing…… hours of waiting be placed on steroids and atibiotics, I’m home and still look like the elephant man!!! I get this several times a year and it’s PAINFUL. I am a great water drinker, don’t smoke, regular dental care. I was tested for autoimmune diseases-none found but have symptoms of several. High body inflammation even though careful to eat an anti-inflammatory diet. It’s depressing and anxiety-producing! My ENT just wants to remove the gland (that looks TERRIBLE!!). Just two weeks ago I took one bite of a bland taco and my face started to swell in front of my guests. Took 6 days of warm compresses and salt water gargles to get rid of it. I can’t be on antibiotics all the time! It happens so often I can’t afford to go to the ENT every time it occurs. It’s a painful, terrible condition and I feel for anyone who has to deal with this. 😫

lol, my story is quite funny, I got on a diet in Summer and was exercising and obviously lost some weight and noticed swelling under my jaw and got all paranoid, you know... this is pretty good explanation, for me those glands increase in size while eating and become noticeable if I raise my head up... because of this stupid thing I had anxiety for over a month, did a lot of blood tests, did chest x-ray, made ultrasound of thyroid, and all internal organs, even made endoscopy research which was not fun.... and only my hematologist was smart enough to tell me those were salvia glands

A few years ago I had bilateral swelling of my parotid glands, loss of taste, no pain, no saliva. They ruled out stones as all the glands were swollen not just one or two. It eventually disappeared without any treatment, however they did do lots of test, thyroid biopsy, chest x-rays thinking it could be lupus. Never found out what caused it & it hasn't returned. Just a mystery.

Very interesting video. As someone who had a salivary gland infection, for which hospitalization was recommended, I wonder whether taking guaifenesin would contribute to dehydration of the salivary glands. I was treated through an emergency service, so couldn’t follow up with an ENT.
Also, I found that eating acidic candy or drinking lemonade exacerbates my GERD. My GP pointed out that simply imagining a lemon slice can make one salivate - which is handy.

I was wondering if the tap water full of calcium and magnesium might have something to do with it.

I appreciate this information, since I have been to the UK I notice a subtle change in facial structure, and now I think it's getting worse. Although I am a slim person, I thought it was just me naturally putting on size and therefore it was showing in my face. However that's not the case, so I started googling about this because it's becoming not too attractive. I'm a bit worried that it could be an underlying health issue

    • @peaceofmindofpeace1650
      @peaceofmindofpeace1650 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

Hmm I had similar issue's still have but less than before.
For me it started after covid vaccinations. My face looks less soft and often puffy. Less defined jawline. I did tests echo of my neck etc but everything was normal. When it's swelling it's more on left side under my jawline and sometimes it's thick on the 'bottom' of my neck in the middle.
Lately my neighborhood is actively asking questions about a chemical factory near by so now im wondering if that's related to my symptoms like shortness of breathe sudden swelling which suddenly comes and goes and neighbors had similar issue's.
Who knows but it could be post vaccination syndrome as well, I guess I will never know.
It's there sinceb3 years but in 2021 till 2023 it was much worse. Exhausted lack of energy and my neck made me look like a frog!it was not weight gain bc it was only there for some days per month. I cried bc I felt ugly and my face seems less slim and soft. I live healthy active, bike swim walks but bc my neck feels like a burden I can't find the power to go to the gym anymore

This is an interesting video, thank you. How can you tell if pain in the cheek is caused by the TMJ or from a problem with the salivary gland? And what type of specialist looks at the salivary gland?
I saw a maxillofacial doctor about my TMJ, and I showed him the location in my cheek where I have pain, and he said that's where the salivary gland is. But nothing more was said, due it it being an NHS appointment without much time to discuss anything. I know I have a displaced disc in the TMJ.

@@VikVeerENTSurgeon I don't have any swelling with my TMJ. Just a TMJ clicking on opening on one side, and a cracking on biting sound on the opposite side.
The pain I have in my cheek might be the pterygoid muscle, but I am not sure. I can feel a small lump in my cheek in the region of the pain, which I asked the maxillofacial doctor about, as I thought the lump might be a muscle knot in the pterygoid muscle. But he said the small lump I was pointing to is the salivary duct. I have pain there all the time, but it is much worse after eating acidic fruit.

About 6 weeks ago I had a gland swell up on me and I thought it was a tooth root going bad as I have had that. But the dentist chalked it up to a possible stone causing my symptoms. Antibiotics cleared my problem. I haven't discussed with primary Dr yet but I have a regular appt scheduled soon so may discuss with him. Just this morning the same area felt tight and painful so I did the massage recommendation and that did help. Not bothering me at all. Time to drink some water and will follow with a lemon drop.

Please look into a Biological Dentist to do a CBCT 3D imaging to determine whether or not it is in fact due to a root canal tooth! I have had systemic, debilitating health issues for years and finally found the root cause to absolutely be due to an old root canal. Never any pain, swelling or fever. But still, it caused systemic illness that one may overlook being connected to root canal procedures. It sux because you will pay out of pocket for a CBCT which is usually around $500. But who can put a price tag on health? Especially when you’re suffering. Please look into your oral health!

My glands are swollen every day and I have to massage my glands for hours for these things to come out. I made the mistake of letting a surgeon cut and reroute ducts because he claimed it would help and it was the worst decision ever. It just caused my symptoms to be even worst. Sucking on lemon, drinking extra fluids and warm compresses use to help alot more. Once the mucous plugs would come out my gland would feel relieved and swelling would go away instantly. But since that surgery nothing really helps and now it's very difficult to massage those plugs out. No quality of life😢. I've got a sublingual gland stone. Very small in size. My dental said you'll need a operate to remove it and its the only method it can be gone. He said he'll remove it through milk method and then a small cut to get it out. But I don't want to be operated seems a bit risky to me. Because its a very sensitive location as you all know. My symptoms are like I got swelling my sublingual gland total 4-5 times in two months and it feels bit ichtines on sublingual gland. I don't feel any pain yet. So my question is it good to go with massage and lemon squeeze ? It would be got out with it ? Its very small in size.

The moment you said, Tea dehydrates you. I knew. I have a cup of tea every morning up at my dorm. I caused this on myself.😂
not my dumbass, drinking a cuppa tea every day and not drinking enough water. Also, my dorm is so hot and dries out my sinus and throat would never think this sort of thing could've happened now I'm bugging everyone to hydrate not to become like me plus I'm a smoker so another reason why I did this to myself.

Can someone help me .. I’m suffering doctors can’t help .. I begged them to do something cause I can’t deal with it no more .. so they give me prednisone to see if I get relief.. said it may not work.. I don’t get pain .. only when push on the gland area it gets swollen like chipmunk face .. I do get small pieces of stone from time to time I get annoying itch and horrible feeling then the glands all of them become inflamed and soft stringy things come out of the glands but I have to press very hard and sometimes it takes days to one out sometimes it’s just irritated and nothing comes out no matter how I push on the gland .. I never heard any one said they have that.. can someone tell me what it is .. I did all the test to check fir autoimmune conditions and none was found

Hi, I cannot find much information on "submandibular gland tumors." I have a small tumor, which has shrunk due to holistic methods, but its still there. I had a needle biopsy and the results were 'unidentified malignant cells' and they just wanted to surgically remove it. I cannot seem to find any cases such as mine and what this even means. The surgeons just talk about surgery. Any suggestions are gratefully welcomed. Thank you.

How can we tell (before seeking medical treatment) if its a stone or an infected gland? Ive not had this before now. It literally feels like a huge stone under my tongue on the left side but my jaw is swollen and puffy. Im leaning towards a stone tho b.c i just stopped my 2nd course of antibiotics yesterday. I'm recently overcoming a lung infection that took 2 rounds of Rx antibiotics to treat. If it were an infected gland... The antibiotics would've attacked and cured it. Unless its viral, then no antibiotics would work. During the lung issue tho, i didnt eat and barely drank anything. I felt too bad. So stone makes sense. How can we tell tho? Anybody no?? Plz?

What other things that I could do other than what you mentioned in this video that I could do ? I do go to my regular doctor here on the 28th of this month & I also have a endocrinologist appointment in November but I feel like she doesn’t check my neck too see if it swollen or not but I can tell it is. It depends on the person, diet, health, and oral hygiene. Could be a few hours, but is generally a few days and you can notice an infection, just depends on how bad it gets. It's definitely a bad area to get an infection though.
