    You sound conscientious. I want you for my VK50VE

      Thanks, I have had the word "meticulous" used against me a few times, haha.
      I would love to get my hands on a 50VE. I was in discussions with someone to get his old one after he replaced it, but that fell through.
      What is the issue with yours?

    Good video. I just bought a 2003 FX45 with Code P0328 (knock sensor). Apparently, there was a rat's nest in there way before I bought the car. I looked in there with a small mirror and saw that the wires going to the sensor were chewed through. I have to remove the intake manifold to get to them. I am going to replace both sensors since I am in there fixing the wires. Any advice on removing the manifold? It looks pretty straight forward. I don't think I will have to remove any coolant or oil lines (or at least I hope I won't have to). Your videos are helpful. Thanks.

    Does anybody know if the 5.6 Nissan motor and the 4.5L have the same oil pump

    • @EdBwoy
      @EdBwoy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Which 5.6? But short answer is no.
      The 4.5 pump looks like the 5.6 truck oil pump, but I can't confirm fitment because the part numbers are different.
      The 5.6 used in the sedan has a pump that looks pretty different from the 4.5 one.

    I have a coolant leak under the intake manifold... :(
    Wonder what it is. Gonna just buy the o-rings for the pipes under there and dive in. Do you replace the intake monifold gaskets when you remove the intake? I think I'll just reuse as it's metal.

      @EdBwoy  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If they are old enough, they might come out a little damaged. Btw, you don't have to separate the top & bottom manifold collectors. That one definitely needs replacement if you remove it. Grafoil gasket that's needs scraped

      EdBwoy Isn’t the manifold gasket metal? Or no? and you’re saying the pipe may come out damaged? damn..car is an 07 at about 135K so no telling i guess

      I see green on brand new ignition coil

    • @Addydaddy187
      @Addydaddy187 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have to replace the passenger side valve cover very expensive I found a driver side a reasonable price so I replaced that one but I still got to replace the passenger side maybe that's it I did the gasket on the passenger but not the tube seals

    • @EdBwoy
      @EdBwoy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Addydaddy187 right. If you see coolant on your coil pack, then you have coolant getting out of the coolant jackets and is going into the head.
      Remove the valve cover and see how it looks. If that side has green, and the first one did not, then you have either a head gasket issue or a head issue.

    Hey bro, I have question. I have engine that has a broken rod and wanted to know if its cheaper to rebuild or get used engine? The engines I've seen on ebay are expensive. I'll be doing the work myself. Whats your opinion?

    • @EdBwoy
      @EdBwoy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry I missed this, but I would have gone with a replacement if it were a VK45DE engine. What did you end up doing?

      Man, I've been sitting on a draft of this video. I was breaking down the benefits of rebuilding versus replacing.
