Earlier this year, I found a series 0 aluminum in mint condition (but with bad battery) for like $20 on eBay. After I replaced the battery and it started booting, I noticed the Apple logo looked off and I thought maybe the OLED was damaged, but it looked fine once it was at the pairing screen. Long story short, it’s running WatchOS 1.0. Well worth the money!
I still have my first gen Apple Watch on watchOS 3.x.x, is also used, and the aluminium condition is good, currently I paired the watch with iPhone 5s with iOS 10
My grand uncle is still using that thing even after he upgraded to the series 5 about 4 years ago as he didn't find much use out of his new one and has since sold it within the two years between I last saw him with his new watch and when i saw him with his series 0 a few months ago
I had this Apple Watch series 0 38mm, I used it since it came out until 2021, it sure started to lag a lot and the battery was dying in less than 7 hours. Ever since I became a watch guy, I ditched all the smart watches, I still have an Apple Watch series 2 classic black, but I barely use it.
I have a Watch 7. I sometimes remember to charge it. Its good for tracking medical stuff. Other than that it sits on the side gathering dust. And i cba to sell it cause effort. tbf ive already replaced half the functions i used it for with an ECG machine and a blood pressure monitor. As for other stuff well my phone does it lol
I have two of these first Gen I-watch, was very exciting when they first came out and was a great novelty ,with the apps and you could pay for things on Apple Pay.
Im using apple watch series 0 42mm stainless strel as daily driver watch. Battery can survive 18 hours as advertised. Using it for notification, activity ring, and workout. Pairing with iphone XR with latest iOS
I went from a Series 3 to a Series 8, and it’s crazy how much it’s updated. But the Apple Watch came out when I was in middle school. My series 8 doesn’t get much use unless I’m working my part time job or working out. Otherwise it sits on the charger. It’s at like 92% battery health
I think generation zero was the 6th gen iPod Nano, I used that as a watch for a long time actually but funnily enough I've never bought an actual Apple Watch. It worked great, steps counter, music and I could take it off the band, speaking of which I had a full metal band and it was great. I only wish it had bt and a way to add watch faces. I've even had to replace the power button ribbon cable and that was a Hell I don't look forward to ever doing again.
Wow, I can’t believe it’s been ten years since I had my first Apple Watch-such great memories! Over the years, I upgraded to the Apple Watch Series 3, then the Series 4, and eventually the Series 8 before selling all of them. Now, I’m considering getting the Apple Watch Series 10 or waiting for the Series 11, which should be released in Fall 2025.
I used to have my dad’s Apple Watch Series 1 for 2 yrs, it broke the flex cable connected for the screen few months back. Now, I’m using my mom’s Series 3 for 3 months now.
I used a series 6 and 8 models. I noticed upgrading from 6 to 8 there was little to no advantages for me other than the fact my old watch was scratched to hell.
I remember getting mines as a gift when I was in 8th grade I felt so special cause I was like the only one with a Apple Watch in my school. now I don't own one I use a Garmin Watch now.
In the 90s watches were more useful than today . smartwatches mostly exist to appeal to nostalgia since smartwatches were in a lot of old sci-fi movies. but the formfactor is not very practical for doing more complex things even if the hardware is good. smartphones got popular because their formfactor is small but still big enough for proper controls. but since cell phones only became a thing 10 years before the first smart phones most people didn't predict they would exist. and they had to integrate this technology into something that already existed .they tried to make handheld pc's a thing but you need something like a phone to get on the internet and people didn't want to carry too much stuff .so that is why smartphones got popular and why old scifi had smartwatches .
there’s a price gap between the series 5 & 6 since the 6 is still supported, but it’s not by much. If you’re fine with WatchOS 10 and still want the always on display, the series 5 may save you some money, but I would shoot for the series 6 so you get the blood oxygen monitoring as well and at least another additional year of watchOS updates.
When this was announced, a wise man called the Apple Watch “An overpriced useless watch”. Later in his life he purchased one. After a couple of bad choices his Apple Watch notified him of a health issue. When he took the time to respond to the health notifications by going to the hospital he was diagnosed with a heart condition. He managed to bounce back and now wears his Apple Watch daily!! That wise man was me… and I guess I’m not so wise after-all 😅
Im still using that sri 1 daily on gym not because new apple watch soo expensive Because is sri 1 or 3 more stylish on new apple watch Even everyone is surprised how I managed to connect it to my iPhone 15 Pro Max.😅😂
Sorry for the out of sync audio y’all! I forgot to connect my mic on the main camera
The fact that this is still usable after almost 10 years is mindblowing
My brother’s been using one for 9 years
Most if not every tech gadget is usable for at least 10 years...
Mine stopped working, the battery exploded around 3 years ago

The best thing is you can't tell if it is old or not (well, from a far away)
It’s so cool how well a 10 year old Apple Watch works with a modern phone running the latest iOS. Really cool.

I still own my 1st gen apple watch. Don't use all the features though as I don't have an iPhone any more.
I remember watching the Keynote Live with my mate and wanted one the second it was revealed
Love the new pfp bro
I had mine paired to my iPhone X running iOS 11. dream duo minus the slowness.
i can see my iphone x battery draining 1% per min lol
just realized this video is 9:41 minutes long. Nice
doesn't matter that the watch isn't on old version of watchos. when you pair a watch, it will update
It’s amazing how long Apple Watches last for
7:35 in 1995, if you bought system software 7.1, you'd get a free watch (non-smart)
