First thing I thought about in the video! lol Made me a little more comfortable that I denied the $75 shipping insurance. Just ordered the Cruiser for my wife. If all checks out good, I am going to buy the Freedom. All reviews seem to have happy WIRED riders that have no regrets from buying one.
Finished assembling mine this morning. Opened the advanced settings and did all the necessary tweaking. Everyone's right. Thanx for your video. It was one of many .. and one of the few that were informational, well edited and produced. At 74 it gets me up all the hills I hoped it would with torque and battery to spare. I have the August shipment and the frame was lengthened a few millimeters. With the newer shock and slightly longer frame the controller sits 2" from the fender.
Great unboxing and review! I've been watching a ton of wired freedom bike videos on youtube lately because i'm getting my first e-bike when i get my tax refund check lol. I didn't know what to buy first because i'm going for looks, power, and then of course cost. This wired freedom seems to be the best of ALL worlds. I think it looks great and the power for the cost is almost unmatched, at least from what i've been researching. QUestion though, do you have to leave the rear cargo rack on? I know when i get mine, i won't install it as i won't ever need it. Nor the fenders. That's ok right?
The Wired Freedom Bike is an excellent all around bike it does everything well if power is what you want it will do that for you you will not be disappointed if you don't want that much power you can simply tune it back to deliver power or the way you want it and it's easy to change for different riding conditions I changed the power delivery all the time depends on where I'm riding
I have the same bike and agree that the full suspension is a game changer. The most comfortable bike I’ve ridden, the most powerful bike I’ve ridden. Your back rack looks bent at the back and you are supposed to remove the silver brackets on the front support arms of the Rack. Call Wired and have them send you a new rack.

In other people's reviews, I see them cruising at over 30mph but they never talk about how long they went at that speed for. Does it overheat and cut out on you if you put over 1000 watts into the motor for too long? If so, do you have some general idea of what the top continuous speed is (of course your weight might not be the same as mine). Just trying to get a general idea.
@@ChristmasEve777 the hub motor is rated at 1000 watts so if you see on your display continuous wattage over 1000 watts for a prolonged period of time it could overheat .i did not take notice what the wattage was at 30mph but if it's over 1000 watts it will overheat not sure how long it would take

I was one of the first ones to get it. I wish it had came with tektro brakes. The star union is okay but not great for high speeds. Also was damaged cosmetics and rear fender. Glad to see they have improved since then.

How much do you weight? I have the same bike but on throttle, flat ground, mine goes about 35-37. I find it hard to believe people with the same bike get 40 on flat unless they weight under 150lbs.
Your bike is a 1st gen cruiser with aftermarket tires if I remember. New motor is branded Hentack, perhaps a higher grade from Hengtai? My 2 gen Freedom also does 40mph on a slight downhill.
Different frames will have different aerodynamic profiles and wind resistance is huge at higher speeds, your Tires are wider than stock, thinner is faster, and you bought your bike used with unknown battery history. An aging battery cannot perform like a new one n terms of capacity or discharge rate.
true but for $700 bucks you can have a fast swap battery system. around 160 miles... or more like 100 if moderately estimating. just think, off roading with near limitless battery.😅

Thanks for the video assembly. I just got the new updated wired freedom and the rear fender is now bolted onto the rack. The issue I’m getting is the fender rubbing against the tire. I had to loosen the bolts for it not to rub. If anyone has suggestions, that would be great

a good bike shop should advise you on a good lock for the bike. best thing is to take the battery off and bring it with you when you go shopping. nobody will want the bike without the battery
I bought removable pedals and a locking headset and a cafe lock with a chain for mine. now i just need the bike. patiently waiting. supposed to be any day now.
I went on their website and both models are on preorder and not shipping till august. I want it but man, summers almost over come august in upper midwest. Would you say its worth waiting roughly 2 months for?
It’s the only affordable 60v bike available. The Ariel Kepler would be a good choice if you need it immediately, although it is only a 52v system. Top speed is a few mph lower and it is not as good on hills as the Wired. The Aventon Aventure is a nice bike if you want to be “legal.” For me, it is worth a couple of months to get what I want especially since I plan on keeping the bike for years. If you don’t have hills, the Kepler will be fine.

Can anyone help me with the removal of the battery? I just received my wired bike today, and am having difficulty removing the battery from the bike... states I should turn the key counter clockwise, but it is not working! Help please.
While installing the front tire I notice the rotor is somewhat rubbing the inside of the slot that it fits into. Is this common because I see no logical way to adjust it to not do this. Sounds like its just scraping it every rotation.
This type of bike will never have a torque sensor this is designed to be a high speed scooter disguised as an ebike and they do a fantastic job at that. Torque sensors are to give you a more bike like feel and will be on bikes like the Aventure by Aventon with a 28 mph limit in pedal assist your going to need to choose which type of Ebike you want it’s a one or the other

@@2tuffHDThe imitation torque sensor which gives you a straight wattage rather then a speed is very nice, much better than any cadence sensor I’ve tried. To have a torque sensor make sense, you would need to change the freewheel to 11-28 to get feeling in the pedals above 30-32mph. Shimano doesn’t make a 7 speed with an 11 cog and to upgrade to a better derailleur blows the $2000 price point they must hit. They could introduce a more expensive pro model with the same drivetrain on a better frame with better suspension components, an 8 speed with an 11 cog, and a Torque sensor. Maybe $2750? I’d pay it but would the masses? Got to keep it under $2000 in todays market.

Any bicycle shop should be able to service the bicycle if it's related to the electrical system he will simply refer to the manufacturer wired freedom is very good to answer the phones and they help everybody I don't see that there would be any issue in a situation where the bike needed to be serviced

Is anyone else feeling that the bike pulls to the left as the battery is not centered ? for longer rides, 40 miles I definitely felt it in the left arm and wrist.

Unfortunately my out of box experience hasn't been so good, It came with a warped front disc brake , missing front light bracket pieces. Their response and support was good at first but not so much now as I think they are a small operation. The power of the bike is amazing and I hope I can get to the bottom of the pulling left issue as it could have been caused by shipping damage similar to the warped (bent) front disc brake. Its a keeper but it may need a few tweeks and design upgrades going forward.
I had to have my rear wheel trued and my rear brake bleed. Sounds like your front wheel might need the spokes adjusted. Only takes a about 10 minutes and should cost you under $50. A bike this fast must be properly assembled and maintained well. Find a good bike mechanic or learn the skills yourself.

Wired Bike Company is just Criminal! This bike actually cost $2,556 when you checkout and not $1,999! This price is a plain lie! On top of the price $1,999 + Tax, there is another $250 for delivery and $75 insurance! There is nothing special about this bike other than potential higher speed for short range. Also, your warranty is void if you change the speed setting. If you wanted to send it back for some reason, it’s going to cost you £250+ other hefty fees. In my opinion it’s just not worth the price anymore. I can name many other well known bike brands that offers almost as much performance, better build quality, better range, better value and 2-3 years warranty! In Europe this could never happen. The seller is always responsible to deliver the package intact and safe! Courier companies would be fried for damaging and mistreatment of customers belongings! I think I’ll now get a Yoto Leopard Hunter for $500+ less. It offers so much more for so much less!

I ordered the Jan shipment and impatiently waiting lol. They made so many improvements the past few months to this bike.👍
The frame was never lengthened, the new shock only is what's making the gap between controller and tire larger apart.

i am over 200lbs speed test was on flat ground light side wind from the right side .
had a 100% full battery when i made that 40mph run

You have to nudge it from the opposite side, towards you, while turning the key. It takes some force, but you'll get it.

Yes at times in rare situations it will rub it only did it once for me
At 8:40 the rear rack is damaged and bent downward from shipping like most all of the Freedoms and Cruisers.

The rear suspension got changed because it's not very good
I'm sure the revised bike works better than the original one like mine but I am still happy with it it handles great it does everything I needed to do

No. You should have yours checked by a bike shop. Make sure your brake levers are angled down 45 degrees like shown in this video, prevents fatigue.

Wired Bike Company is just Criminal! This bike actually cost $2,556 when you checkout and not $1,999! This price is a plain lie!
On top of the price $1,999 + Tax, there is another $250 for delivery and $75 insurance!
There is nothing special about this bike other than potential higher speed for short range. Also, your warranty is void if you change the speed setting. If you wanted to send it back for some reason, it’s going to cost you £250+ other hefty fees.
In my opinion it’s just not worth the price anymore. I can name many other well known bike brands that offers almost as much performance, better build quality, better range, better value and 2-3 years warranty!
In Europe this could never happen. The seller is always responsible to deliver the package intact and safe!
Courier companies would be fried for damaging and mistreatment of customers belongings!
I think I’ll now get a Yoto Leopard Hunter for $500+ less. It offers so much more for so much less!
