Before I bought my Freedom, I called the company and was told that it would handle my 6'4" 330 lbs body. However, I have pumped it up to 230 psi and it still bottoms out. May be time to buy a heavier duty shock.

Thank you so much! You are spot on... there were a bunch of spots when I was editing that I wanted to cut out, but I didn't want to make the video incomplete. I am glad you appreciated the full video, and it makes me feel like I made the right choice not to cut it down too much. Again, thank you!
mine had about 30lbs or pressure in it! no wonder it kept bottoming out. just installed my origin8 supercells and did this, bike is my commuter and now rides absolutely amazing!
I finally rode my 24 Freedom yesterday. at 225lbs when I go over a bump I can feel that shock bottom out. I need to add some air to prevent that. Thanks for making the video. Good work.
For the red Rebound adjustment wheel you mentioned on rear shock, mine just kept turning and turning, and yours had 9 settings. Finally I pushed iN (towards the back of the bike) on that red REBOUND round wheel, and turned the wheel, and then I only had 9 settings I think. Otherwise if I did not push that red round screw like wheel INWARD when turning, that knob keeps turning and turning - at least for me. In case this is helpful for someone else. I am not sure if it is suppose to work this way, or if something wrong with shock, but it worked for me.

Awesome video once again! I assume I would load the bike up with all my gear and extra battery before doing this setup to account for the additional weight?
Thank you kindly for posting this. I'm currently researching a new shock for my e-bike (factory one is not adjustable). I do wonder if buying the DNM with the dual chambers is worth the extra "trouble" to setup.
@leetjohnson I have a Jasion x-hunter. Doing lots of R&D, a dnm rc38, or even a a5 r1. So not going with a high end shock, but something adjustable. Factory is a non adjustable 1000lbs shock- barely ever moves. So just watching some videos on shock mounting hardware, and learning a lot.
Great video. I bought a pump for my rear shock due to it being out of air when I finally went to ride it. I fill it to 200lb pressure and im sure it drops 15-20 when it disconnects. I’m 5’7” 170lb and the bike is definitely borderline too big for me but I still love it! It feels like mine slowly looses air over a 2 weeks then I need to fill it again.
heads up guys i used a valve core removal tool to tighter the valve core on the shock, needed a good full turn or so to be snug! i'm sure over a week or so that would surely drop the air pressure. again, please inspect your bikes after shipment this is mandatory with ALL bikes!
My 2024 Freedom was ordered in APR & was due to ship at end May, then postponed for the bonuses till end June. When it showed up the UPS man asked me to help get off truck its so heavy. Do you know if a stiffer or higher compression type shock is even available? Or how about a spring type shock? Thank you! I think you should be ok with it as long as the shock isn't completely bottoming out. How far is the o-ring going when you go over big bumps? I would just avoid doing any major jumps or off curbs, and it should be ok. There are other air shocks, but they can be quite expensive. I would just not do any major jumping with it, and it should last without any major issues.
If you’re too heavy, just ride in the middle or closed position to avoid bottoming out and adjust air pressure accordingly to utilize the full length the shock.
