Super fun episode guys great job. Each fighter really gave it their all and I loved how you went into detail about all of their great arsenal and move sets. I forget how many moves the average Pokémon has access too. My favourite part of the fight Is when Wolf Throws all his guns and starts just blasting with all of them one after another. From one animated to another that was great.
No idea how you can do game and watch next time though. does he even have any feat? XD Can't wait to see it

I really like this one, though i do have a piece of criticism to make here: It's mostly about the sprites. I find that they're too low quality personally. You couldn't make out some of their parts like their eyes or, for example, where limbs and tail end. I don't know how much more complex it would've been, but it would've helped the quality of the animation.
And before you ask, yes, i know sprites are supposed to look all "pixel-y".
At least there were sprites. Those were custom sprites for both of them!

I had problems with the sound mixing. The voices should have been turned up a little, especially for the announcer. Sometimes I practically had to guess what they are saying.
Really curious how the next one is gonna go, considering neither opponent has any real combat experience.
Game and Watch is a composite of all his console games, so he's an amalgamation of several different creatures and people.

Incinaroar had a chance to win if he used embargo
The sprite team is always great. Wolfs voice acting was inconsistent in quality, and the part where incin signed an autograph felt really out of nowhere and sorta killed the pacing of that segment, but other than that, no complaints on my end. Great episode, keep up the good work.

I'm curious how the next fight will go. I mean, G&W is literally a two-dimensional being of infinite thinness, so technically he'd have to hit at strange angles in order to just not go through WFT.
Or ya know, we can just suspend our disbelief and assume that both fighters operate off the rules or three dimensions, meaning all attacks can hit.
In smash he is 3D, just with a 2d shader
@@canned3880 Yes, but that's because it's easier to have the model with 3D animations instead of having to make a massive high res sprite sheet that would take up an insane amount of storage. And besides, he's still technically 2D.

This is kind of free for Game and Watch. He carries all sorts of gizmos, Wii Fit Trainer is just a fitness trainer. Fit, but can't stand boiling oil or penetrate a diving helmet
If he is treated as 2D, that could be very dangerous for a 3D opponent. Infinite thinness also means infinite sharpness. He could walk right through something (or someone) and it'd have a gash through it (albeit an infinitely thin one), or be put in half entirely if it's smaller than him.
Poor incineroar. We all knew it was coming.
Although, the animation was astounding. Even though I knew that there was no way my boy incineroar was gonna win, the battle was wild and unpredictable until the end.

I am so happy that Wolf won. (I knew he logically would but with this channel, I take nothing for granted.) Star Fox is really underrated and Star Fox Zero is a masterpiece.

Something that needs to be talked about is Star Fox villains have always been universal level threats...stated in the comic Fox saved the universe, stated in the manual from Assault the Aparoids were a universal threat, and in Adventures the Krazoa could control dark matter which according to science makes up more than 80% of the universe (also originally in Dinosaur Planet they were universal)
I really wish they would make more out of the Star Fox series. I thought it was pretty good as a kid.
Do you have a Wii U? If you do, I highly recommend you to play Star Fox Zero because it is basically a modern Star Fox game. The game got a lot of backlash but I think it is really amazing.

This one was fun. I enjoyed it. The graphic design during the analysis was good, and the analysis was thorough. Looked like there was a lot of spritework, especially for Wolf and his arsenal.
I would suggest not letting the Kirby gags become more than quick little easter eggs - this one cut into the battle's pacing a bit when both characters just started goofing off.
Not a critique, just something I might have missed - was there a reason given why embargo wasn't an effective strategy against Wolf's weaponry and ship? Just how much faster Wolf and the Wolfen are? It was brought up in the analysis, so I was curious whether it was relevant.
I assume that the logic of Wolf blitzing Incineroar before he could use Toxic applies to Wolf as well.
There were custom sprites for Wolf, his weapons and Wolfen II, and Incineroar!
The wolf gun spin definitely reminded me of revolver ocelot's same trick in mgs3. Great animation and I can't wait for the next time!

Just another comment I had to add, it was a really cool touch that wolf was basically juggling three different heavy duty weapons and firing them as well. If anything if he ever decided to quit being a professional mercenary, he could become a professional Street juggler of deadly skill, in space LOL. That was clever and very fun to watch.

Great video, I do think that characters with ranged attacks and vehicles tend to have the upper hand against melee and hand to hand combatants, since they they deal damage without the risk of being counterattacked.
That was an amazing fight there Ink with such great effort to make this fight possible, much respect there, it was awesome!

Entertaining video but I feel Wolf's character was misrepresented. He's more of a serious stoic kinda character similar to Fox and tries to kill as quickly as possible while in here he was a talkative drunk 💀, good video nevertheless but could've been more action packed without the many cameos and talking 💯

I've been waiting for this for a while! First off, great voices and great animation! The next fight also looks to be interesting, and the analysis was good as well. Looking at the main Cannon however, it said SF NES, was that supposed to actually say SF SNES? Unless of course I'm just missing out on some information lol always possible.
I would definitely love to know more about that club Nintendo Canon mentioned in that as well I'd love to look it up. Now on to my actual thoughts on the fight other than the fact that it was flipping awesome!
Like you said the verses mode is a training room, I believe it's been stated in manuals or guides before and even in a Nintendo power magazine at one point which is awesome. Though in my personal opinion I do think the whole being able to tank smart bombs and stuff is more or less game mechanics for fairness cuz in that case Fox wouldn't have actually had to worry too much about avoiding that aparoid blast that destroyed his assault model our wing as much.
And it was awesome Fox and wolf work together to take down the approach home world, though we don't know where exactly they went when they disappeared in those tunnels, maybe they got out of there before the explosion? Cuz that was a planetary explosion at the core. It is true that the demon sniper can be blocked by barrier, but it can also take out a barrier in one shot at least according to the versus mode. Protect seems to be more or less like a more focused shield and a barrier is a lesser defensive but all around defense from what I've noticed in Media.
I definitely knew the wolf and was going to be involved whether it was my original prediction of being near the end of the fight and wolf popping out for a finishing blow, or just absolute bombardment of powerful lasers and such. Either way wolf was brutal, as to be expected, but I'm glad this fluffy devastator of mercenary style Doom is able to move on to the next round. Makes me wonder who's going to fight next.
All in all you guys did a marvelous job at covering this epic mercenario questionable morality LOL. But in the end we all know wolf is awesome and has some good in him.
At least the bar scene was there as originally thought LOL. All in all incinivar put up a good fight but with the overwhelming power and experience it's a wolf, as well as his dirty fighting, he managed to extinguish the firecat of the wrestling world.

Thanks for the comment! To answer your questions/comments:
- Ahh yes SNES is correct. That was a typo on my part. The earliest canon appearance of Star Fox was in the Nintendo Power Comic, which according to the author was where they built out the world/story of star fox generally and it started production before the game itself. Shortly after that was the SNES Star Fox.
- The Club Nintendo one is an interesting case! Club Nintendo is the European equivalent of Nintendo Power. Each issue had a comic and most of them were totally nonsensical and not canon at all. Club Nintendo would just let random people in the office come up with the stories and then send them off to a japanese company to do the art. The exception to this was the "Sonderausgabe" special addition issues. They made a few of these as promotion for upcoming games and they had to have much stricter involvement and approval from Nintendo. The Zelda one even credited Miyamoto himself as part of the production. There are some obvious differences that stop it from being mainline canon, but there are also some really interesting things within it, such as this being the only place where we actually see Wolf kick Pigma off the team (which is confirmed to have happened in assault). So its in a weird place of being niche but also definitely having some direct involvement from Nintendo to make sure the characters are represented in a way they are happy with. This is also where the screenshot at 3:06 came from. I had to translate that from German (it was a good time to have a german professor as a grandpa haha), but generally its a super interesting read. Its an incredibly rare comic and hard to find, but you can find a digital English translation online.
- For vs mode, it definitely isn't ideal but it is also literally the only time we even see Wolf outside of his ship so its the best we have to go on. It also tracks with similar durability feats we see Fox pull off in Adventures and Assault while on-foot.
- With the exploding planet, it is really hard to see but you can actually track 3 arwings flying from the planet as it explodes. We can use that as a moderate position for the durability. We do know Peppy and the Great Fox were likely still on the surface and if Star Fox was only barely able to make it out of the planet while knowing there was an explosion, it would be tough for Wolf to get even further away if he was surprised at the explosion. Regardless, using the Arwings is the safest measurement here.

But yeah I can agree when it comes to the exploding planet durability feat because it's not like they were at the core of it but escaping it and obviously there's some force to be reckoned with there. If it were at the core that would be a different story obviously, but escaping the near edges of that destructive power I can definitely see where you're coming from. Probably would take a whole lot of power from the ship but nonetheless would be worth it.

Oh as for the durability from enemy attacks, I could see them being able to take a little extra due to the fact that they are wearing some form of space gear / armor. Probably made of a real flexible tough material.

Animation was pretty good, has a lot of intense fast pace action, but some bits do look a little odd. Audio was pretty much shot all to hell though, since I can't understand them half the time. And results? Can't say if I agree or disagree here, cause research here sometimes tends to be... Ehhhh....
Overall: Good episode, but not as good as others, like Link vs Ridley.
Maybe I just didn't pay attention last time, but the analysis graphics look pretty good. Nice seeing the craft being honed

Finally, it's here. TH-cam sucks so I couldn't watch it live but still quite the episode we have here.
For the analysis they are pretty good, covering very well Wolf and going on the important stuff for Incineroar. It's good finally having solid calculations and feats for Star Fox but, and this is a issue with various other episodes, the analysis feels really one-sided. I know there are many more Star Fox games than Pokémon games with Incineroar, but still it doesn't feel right. But information on sidebars and cut some less important stuff, but that's just me nitpicking.
The fight, it was great. Great voice acting for Wolf, nice music, Dan gets destroyed and that's hilarious, good use of Wolf's weapons and really good custom sprites. But there are some flaws: there's too much puppet animation, which looks quite weird in some shots, the Wolfen sprite is way too small and if there's time i suggest you doing new more detailed sprites for the ships, and Incineroar doesn't even use Throat Chop and very little of Darkest Lariat, his signature moves. Still great animation, keep the amazing work.
Post-analysis' new format is great and let's the viewer compare side-by-side the stats and reaaly slick design too.
Overall, great work!
Next time is weird, I don't know how the hell are you going to analyse this guys and can't wait to see Wii Fit getting destroyed by a torch of a steriotypical native american.
This was SUPER good, wow. The voice acting was pretty much spot on between all three roles, the animation was super dynamic and fluid for the sprites, and the writing was good too. It’s been said many times but Smash Bracket/Crossover Colosseum have come a super long way and I have no doubt they will continue to, super looking forward to it

Also, dang, one of my favorite characters to play (and probably my secondary) vs. my Starter Pokémon in Moon (and possibly one of my favorites if not my outright favorite when it comes to starter evolution).
A friend who also likes Versus videos actually accidentally spoiled this one for me but I think I'd be a little sad no matter the outcome lol. Hope it doesn't end in a death.

I came to watch the battle even though I knew I wouldn't like the outcome based on the Sonic vs Fox analysis. The battle was amazing, so props to the animator for making it super entertaining. Other then me fundamentally not liking Star Fox getting scaled this way, you at least made the analysis sound informative.

Try Bill Cipher (From Gravity Fall) VS The Collector (From The Owl House) It will be really interesting because Bill is pretty much invincible, and I think the Collector is immortal, too. It would be fun and very nice to see who the winner is.
I like this stuff. Not quite as good as Death Battle overall, but the animation is definitely entertaining. Wolf's VA could've used some work and there were some weird pacing issues, but the fight itself was great.

Yeah this is something I had intended to go into more detail about but got lost somewhere along the scripting process. Embargo could in theory stop Wolf from using items, but Incineroar would either need to capitalize on this perfectly with something like Toxic or hit Incineroar thousands and thousands of times before the effects wear off. Even if we *were* to assume Embargo led to a 100% win for Incineroar, he would still need to pick it instantly before either opponent can act, which is really tough when Wolf is millions of times faster and far more aggressive. While it could definitely help Incineroar's chances, Wolf is just far more likely to shoot first.

That’s what you think until you look at the very real game “Star fox Epic fighters epic fight battle duel X9 Cross Fighter Kombat Ultimate Gear Fury 7” Which Wolf has 80% usage in competitive.
Easily a top tier episode, and definitely the best to feature a star fox character thus far!
Incineroar was definitely as exciting and lovable as you said in his analysis, literally stopping his spar with wolf to sign an autograph, that was so sweet! I also liked that the fire cat flexes after every good hit he thinks he got in just like in smash.
That was why I was rooting for Incineroar the entire time, but I am not disappointed at all that Wolf won. He had a long day, the drive from space was long, and he was ready to have a good night getting boozed up at the bar and watching jacked men beat each other up in real time, but Walmart Tony the Tiger just had to yeet his opponent in the wrong direction. Glad that he got his alcoholic fix in the end though.
(Side note: it’s also a much more interesting introduction and reason to fight someone than randomly dropping in green hill zone for no reason or “Hands off my prey!”)
It was also a joy to see another sprite animation after having a slew of sfms to the point where it seemed like you were never going to return to the format, (even if both characters have never had official 16 bit designs) but you did and it’s back and better than ever!
There’s a lot more I could say, but to put it simply, Ink, your Smash Bracket and Crossover Colosseum should be what other vs battle shows should strive to be. NOT Death Battle.
Embargo shouldn´t be able to negate almost every weapon that Wolf had (incluiding his ship)?
It only lasts for a few turns,so Incineroar would have to kill Wolf before that time limit ends,but considering Wolf's superior speed and durability I doubt it would happen,or at least he wouldn't have the time to kill Wolf BEFORE he gets his weapons back.
