Great fight the result actually surprised me.
It would be hard to shame Kirby in an scenario where he is fighting.
It didn't surprise me because I don't know what Lucario would do that would overcome Ryu's sheer willpower.

Honestly, I’m starting to grow a bit attached to this series, and I honestly hope you guys make more stuff, hell, I hope you guys use REALLY out there matchups. I was getting so used to Death Battles whole, “find a connection between each character” thing that I didn’t really focus on the crossover aspect. So thank you, and I hope you succeed
My favorite moment of Lucario vs Ryu smash bracket was when Lucario used his pokemon attack at Ryu that caused him to do the thing that he does when the thing happens. It was especially cool to see Ryu when he did the fighting game attack that utilized his special ability of intense power. But when one of the two used their super attack with the thing, it was just too much for the person with a crazy blue sphere of some sort to handle.

THE MADMAN DID IT, this has been a highly anticipated smash bracket episode for me, and I thought it would be completely one sided, and lucario would destroy ryu, but I am so happy I was wrong, this was amazing, I loved the original spriteworl for things such as mega lucario, and the voice acting was cool, this is possibly my new favorite episode of the series
Honestly me too I really thought lucario would destroy ryu because even though ryu is strong I thought the sheer speed and psychic power would be too much for ryu to handle(also I main lucario in smash but I’m not bias) I did get a little sad when my prediction was wrong but that new sudden death thing was awesome can’t wait for the next one where I predict little monkey gets destroyed by ninja frog
If you’ve known the characters Ryu has taken down then the fight is definitely in Ryu’s favor
Such a respectful fight. No ill will between the two whatsoever, just two warriors testing their limits against each other. Ryu kept praising Lucario for his skills, and Lucario kept trying to make Ryu go all out against him, not just for the sake of facing a strong opponent, but because he wanted Ryu to realize his own potential and improve as a fighter as well. Win or lose, it was the kind of fight where both opponents would walk out stronger by the end of it, happy with the results and wanting to face each other again some day. Excellent character interaction on-top of an awesome fight.
I'm impressed with the voice acting for Ryu cause I could never pronounce the names of his attacks. This whole thing is impressive and it's a shame you and your team don't get as much help as you need. I wish you all the best of luck and keep up the hard work. You guys are doin amazing

THE CREATOR DID IT! He made the fight as I imagined it for even though Lucario lost the fight, it's a fight I'll never forget and with "SUDDEN DEATH" added in the it was perfect, so great job to you and the ones who helped as well, much respect.

Ryu wins, because Lucario is an homage to Ryu.
Lucario's signature attack called Aura Sphere in western, in the Japanese version is called Haudoban, a variation of the Haudoken attack from Street Fighter.
This had to be one of my favorite Smash Bracket battles ever. I will list some of my favorite parts of this video.
First, I liked how Lucario and Ryu wanted to fight respectfully like a gentleman's game.
Second, I liked how They both went into their final form which was very cool.
Third, Finally how to the fight ended was really cool. Lucario was chill about it, and Ryu didn't kill him.

I'm surprised that Ryu won this fight. But to be fair: I didn't really knew anything about him. For me it was just a strong fighter vs a Pokemon. When I heard about Ryus special forms and the ability to dodge bullets I already thought, it could be hard for Lucario.
But in the end I'm just glad, that you always do so much research and be happy that we get so much content for free.

I would just like to know, when deciding what's canon for Pokémon, do you use the anime, the games or both? Because, they both are fairly different to what's canon or not.
Anime and games are canon. Manga is used for references and to confirm things.
@@exi_dudi2037 yeah, they're canon, but both have differences in their canon. Some fairly simple examples of this is how the championship is dealt with, how battles are dealt with, and how some characters are like. If their is a combination of what is canon from both games and anime, it can be a little questionable at times how something's make sense. It just isn't the smartest idea to use the canon from the two things.

@@hyruleanprivate9743 so the championship doesn't matter for smash bracket just like some unimportant world building for Pokemon. How I understand it they mainly use the anime for feats and the games for taking a closer look at the Pokemon for things like movesets. I think they said in the pac man Livestream that stats aren't going to be calculated. So that's how they handle Pokemon. Do you have any more questions on what's unclear?
We're using the anime, games, and manga for Pokemon. You're right that the story in them is different, but the presentation of Pokemon is consistent enough that it makes sense to composite under our canon rules. Story Mode is coming soon, we don't know what it's about yet but one is coming
This was a really solid episode. The analysis was fun to watch but the fight was the highlight. There was a few issues, the sprites don't go together when side-by-side, the death feels like it needs more impact, and Ryu wouldn't spam hadouken. This episode is a 9/10.
I just started watching this vs show today and the animation is brilliant.
That was sick, I expected Ryu to win after watching yfv's video on Ryu vs iron fist and seeing what exactly Ryu could do, I love the situation of the fight and what goes on during it as the lore really comes together, I absolutely LOVE the Lucario voice actor, he does such a good job and fits the character perfectly great casting there, very good episode.

Correction for Ryu's lore: Ryu never learned the Satsui No Hado from Akuama. He first used it against Segat without realizing it, and hates it so much he'd never let Akuma teach him.

I think this is one my favorite ones. I honestly love Lucario but this seems like a very fair fight.
I'm honestly excited, and nervous for a Specific Fight: Mac vs Min Min.
I know nothing about Min Min, but I do know Mac is VERY Strong, capable of taking a Punch that destroyed an entire Building!
I don't expect him to get far, but 1 victory would be awesome
I do think Mac wins the fight, while Min Min can go fist to fist with alot of super powered beings with Springs, Mac has fought Building Smashers, Bull Launchers, DK, 100 men, And has some Absurd speed.
Plus, these long ranged strikes aren't new to Mac, considering Aran Ryan in Punch Out Wii.

I wonder what the track theme would be, a Clever idea could be a Chinese Version of the Punch Out theme, with bits of Arms, to reference Punch out having various renditions based on Mac's opponent.
If Mac does win, I could see him using the quick Return of her strongest Punch, and retaliate with a Star Punch at Mach Speeds, knocking her out, or if it's a battle to the death, it'd knock her head off.

This is the best representation of lucario I've seen in any vs show and mega lucario looks awesome
I think this is just my favorite episode of the series I like the relation between then I like the voice acting I like the track I like how all hits fell super powerful and I like how lucario impales Ryu making the whole in the chest for the devil form
The only thing that I didn't like as much its that the finishing blow is kinda weak compared to the rest of the hits but that is just one stupid negative in this episode

I love Lucario and he's my favorite character, but when I saw this match, there is ABSOLUTELY no way he would win whatsoever that it isn't even close, though the concept fits really well. And while Im a little sad he lost, at least this was a REALLY good and fair fight! I like the fact that the two are just training to improve, and not to the death. (aside Bone Rush stab xd) So don't worry Lucario, you may have been defeated, but in my soul, you are still a champion in my book. :) Great episode!

Seems like you take the battle mechanics way too literally ("Lucario could cut Ryu's speed by half") and don't really look at the franchise's actual lore (Lucario's speed is definitely comparable to machine gun fire as well, since Mach Punch, Bullet Punch, Quick Attack, and Extreme Speed are shown to break the sound barrier in the anime, manga, and it's implied by their in-game descriptions). These are just examples, I know they aren't actual arguments for the victor. I just think it's a misguided approach to handling Pokémon.
Evil Ryu "Sending a Pokemon to hell" won't work because he's a pocket monster and it scientifically can't happen.
It's like sending a hologram to hell.

But they cannot go to Ryu's hell as they probably have a program's hell somewhere. I'm reading up on it now and I guess?? They're organic due to Mewtwo having DNA... and the Pokeball shrinks them into a 5-star hotel-like area. Still makes me think they're digital and just simulated. But it's too complicated to argue about it.

I never get tired of watching this episode the animation is great and the music I love more in the final part when it is Evil Ryu vs Mega Lucario I hope to see the alternate ending soon to see how I would have won Lucario

Can you please show us the person responsible for hurting Kirby everytime? Besides this cruelty I loved this episode and I think it's my second favourite behind meta Knight vs Marth. This also was one of the matchups where I didn't immediately root for the Pokemon since Lucario doesn't have that much utility but Ryu still is a regular human. Just overall a great episode. One thing I wanted to ask about Pokemon is if you are taking the ability of Pikachu, Incineroar and Pichu in blaze and static into account. Or Jigglypuffs cute charm. Because static and cute charm are kind of luck based and I think it wouldn't be fair to count them, I'm not sure about blaze though.

It’s amazing how these two are fighting to train and become stronger because they’re both aware at how incredibly powerful Sephiroth is. He destroyed mega mewtwo Y without even using his maximum strength, and these two are fully aware of the danger he poses. Incredible feature, 11/10
Ok my prediction is that after then next match up it will be Pokémon trainer vs ness because they are doing all Pokémon i think I assume and I doubt they will do you the battle royal this early on in the series but who knows
