This story has more holes than Swiss cheese. Please note that OP description of herself fits a Type-A personality. Very orderly and meticulous with her things and planning.
    1. Has step-mom and step-sister on video planning. Yet, instead of going to the police she decided to launch a bootleg Scooby-Doo investigation.
    2. Has step-sister phone for 30min, but doesn’t take one pic of the conversation.
    3. “Forgets” the video evidence at the house? Everything is in the cloud now, so not buying that one.
    4. She says she sent the video to several people in case something happened, but then turns around and says it’s missing.
    5. Feared for her father’s health and life, but never went to the police regarding the plans to kill her.
This story sounds like a bad Lifetime movie.

The first sign of this story being fake is the fact that she didn't take the footage of them planning her demise straight to a lawyer or the police. Why risk effing stuff up (and possibly ruining your life) by take the path she did? Type A personality or not...if she didn't care for two of them and had these dreaded suspicions, it's just dumb not to go to authorities.

She tried to make it look like he just dropped dead from over dose and cracked his head open 24 times and strangled him self when he fell. How she thought that was gonna fly is beyond me! Was a 46 year old women and her 20 something year old daughter. All for a million dollars and custody of a 3 year old child. I just watch this one on the news few days ago. Man murdered was actually a good father to two little girls. Murdered by a greedy crack head. The million dollars would of went to her 3 year old daughter and the mother would have control of the money till she turned 18. She was gonna use the daughters inheritance money from her dad for her drug habit and live off it. Money would of been gone before she turned 18. He had texted her asking her did u put something in my oat meal… because he saw her in his fridge. she was texting him back faking ignorance. She ended up at his house with her adult daughter. Call the cops, say you were kicked out, and request a cop escort back to the house to get what evidence they haven't found yet, the cop will be present and make sure they can't harm you, then let the cop know that you "fear for your life" and that any sudden death on my part should be treated as a potential homicide investigation with evil step family as the prime suspects

What I think is OP did everything as stupidly as possible by acting like a dithering mess, there was no reason to leave the camera footage they weren't going to bust in and shoot her in the middle of bedroom floor. She kep going on about how she couldn't speak to her dad because it might kill him and she couldn't to anything that might lose her father so she moves out and that gets the job on him done quicker, They had loads of money so why act so helpless if you can see about moving him to a facility then you could see about hiring security and if you know someone is planning to kill you then that becomes very hard unless you act like a helpless rabbit. She could handle his estate and his business and yet she couldn't figure out how to deal with a couple of vile women and cowers moaning about how scared she was, so what is it is she an adult or is she 14 years old? All she had to do was make a copy of the tape and send it to three people and tell the vipers she had it and if anything happened to her or her father a copy would be sent to the police, the DA and the local news, These I'm so helpless because I'm so scared stories where excuse after excuse is mage for bing unable to help yourself reddit stories are just frustrating.

Story 1: I wonder if the mother had succeeded in killing a prior husband for an inheritance. A psychopath of a mother and a narc of a daughter. A clever OP for buying herself time, protecting herself and logging evidence. So glad for the update on this story. I'm sorry that the dad was being drugged to death. I hope that the OP gets therapy for her loss and possibly PTSD. Maybe Britney gave the dad the later doses of drugs and didn't measure properly. The stepmother and Step-sister got nothing, karma. The step-mother and step-sister could have slipped drugs into a drink from a vending machine from the hospital and made the dad drink it.

1 year??? It's like they just went to Summer Camp and came back as if nothing happened! So ridiculous! As for her father, I sure believe it was them poisoning him. I really can't tell if they had the help from the nurse she hired, since through bribes people can do the most atrocious things for money. And I'm really sorry she lost all her close family and didn't find out the truth concerning her father's death. That feels something so heavy to have to bear for the rest of her life... At least she managed those snakes not to get anything in favor of her sister-in-law that seems very kind, attentive and concerned about her. However, I'm really happy she found a new family that loves her, by living with her sister-in-law and getting married to her boyfriend. At least now she can have a real family.

My heart goes out to her…. I know what it’s like to lose your dad young young and not know if it was if it was a murder or not. It’s a suspicious and yet shoved off as natural but still has unknown answers that makes only has more questions. We could probably talk her and I for hours. It’s now been 26 years. And we had coroner even look at him. I happen to take a class a few years after he passed away, where he was a guest speaker/teacher… we had a nice long talk and he pulled my dads files. He said it was too bad he retired he’d hire me. Wasn’t looking for that answer looking for that but I’d of taken job if he was still active. I’m a very serious, active passionate person. You sorta have to be in that field but same time I have a crime background.
I should tell you that I had to redo my dads make up at funeral home because they did a HORRIBLE job and noticed many things that was NOT visible at time of death and not on my father when he left that morning. I was the last to see him alive and first in family to find out (here I had come home for a visit for my 21st birthday to have my first drink as we talked about since I was 9… my husband, My 13 month old son flew in from DC from an army base we were stationed at… at the time. It’s rare. My MIL paid for it she knew about my dads promise… he’d buy my first drink and I’d buy my first legal drink for him… I was super excited… folks it never happened… he died the next day….to this day I don’t drink much… being that I was married to someone over 21 I was legal to drink at home so I drank regularly. After that… I now don’t, not really. Sucks now honestly) anyways… after talking to him and telling him my findings… he still tried to blow me off. But he continuously raised his one eyebrow like hmmm like crap he miss this and that. Yeah I know he didn’t want to admit he screwed up. I had pictures I took as I was “redoing” my dad for services. And yes folks I was in middle of learning about all the stages and of all of healing, tears, cuts, stabs, bruises, etc you name it. So I knew exactly what I was doing. So DOC knew I knew I was highly intelligent and again. He pulled my dads fill. It didn’t match my FINDINGS and all of MY PICS!! So what’s that tell you???

I can’t believe this story as persons who have significant bank accounts have attorneys on retainer and OP would have immediately reached out to her attorney. This attorney would have in their possession ALL legal paperwork. I have friends who can’t make a single decision without contacting their attorney and in this case, OP would have done the same. Persons with large bank accounts take care to protect their money and hiring several attorneys who are tasked to look after their own nest egg (the client’s money) would have brought out the wolves. The attorneys would hire PI’s and do whatever is required to stop this. This story may be plausible to some, but in the US, it would be a way to make the news and get yourself into massive trouble especially since the “bad guys” have no actual money of their own. The courts would cuts off access to Dad’s money due to the circumstances as OP’s attorneys would be at work. Good story but not realistic in the least, at least here in the US.

Tips for gathering evidence, screen shots can be Photoshopped, take a video of you stating whose phone you are holding, (bonus points if you can get a confirmation recorded, ie. "Hey X, can I borrow you phone to shoot stepmom a text?") and record yourself going through the phone and slowly scroll through the texts. Illegal? Maybe. But not much more illegal than, say, a murder plot.

With her seeing texts of how they spoke on how off OP she should of screenshoted them and sent them to her self then deleted the screenshot from stepsister phone n maybe get phone again n bug it. So u can collect more evidence n incase make sure she has a will that stats if she dies its because of stepmum n stepsister that's involved leave piece of evidence of them talking how kill her prove that they are capable of doing it.
Also their is evidence that they killed father. If they slowly killed like they did and got rid of OP then they get what they wanted the texts prove they wanted op gone. Then u could get a footage from hospital on how they acted when op demands them check fathers body see how he really died. The way they act saying not to would show they have something hide. And will Is a reason on them being suspects father made it 70 to 30 they were greedy n wanted all.. also they were in house alot n spent alot just because its normal doesn't mean u can't count on using it then medication they had change change it or add something to them so they mostly the suspects. If cops can't see it though lile us. Then I doubt they solve it anytime soon lol

JFC. CALL THE POLICE!!!! OMG! The moment she first heard them plotting to kill her she should have taken copies of that footage straight to the cops! They could have gotten a warrant for both phones and seen the plotting. ARG! Unless the police in her area really suck, she should get help. A murder plot is very serious. She should have taken photos of the texts from his step-sister. She can tell the cops, they go to the house with her, she gets the footage to show them, she asks them for a warrant. Witness testimony is still enough for a conviction. My brother got convicted of a misdemeanor when the witness committed perjury. She should also go to her father's attorney (the one that set up the will) and inform him that the stepmother & sister are planning to kill her. I've actually seen this story before but not the update.
I feel for OP on her dad's situation. Sometimes people can seem to do better and then all of a sudden they drop. Its rough watching a loved one struggling to survive. I think OP should have looped the nurse in about the murder plot. Maybe she could have watched for signs or helped gather evidence or let OP know if something seemed off. But then, the nurse might have wanted to leave... OP really really should have called the cops immediately. Losing a father is one of the worst feelings. Losing both parents and a sibling must have been extremely awful. I bet the only reason the evil bitches were crying was bc OP was still alive and they weren't going to get ALL the money. OP is frustrating me so much but I am trying to see things from her pov and realize she was emotionally compromised and not thinking clearly. I would not be surprised if the bitches had done something to make the father ill in the first place. The coroner refused to do a postmortem on my father when he died. 😞
I'm glad she FINALLY talked to a lawyer and decided to talk to the police. The one video alone should have been enough to get a warrant for the phone. Hell, her saying what she saw and what she heard was enough for a warrant. Ok. I was right. They drugged OP's dad and killed him. They should have gone down for his murder. People get convicted on circumstantial evidence all the time.
Only 1-year and a fine for conspiracy to commit murder? That can be a capital offense! WTF? I suppose getting exempted from the will was a good punishment too, but they should have been in jail far longer. Glad OP got them out, but I hope she moves far far away, changes her name, and stays somewhere with excellent security. I still think the step-family killed the father. I'm glad OP and SIL get along.
