It could have been the perfect car but it has issues that cannot or should not be ignored. I have recently visited with my wife the Mazda dealer, as my initial interest was Mazda 3 but my wife suddenly liked the cx 30 more. I was not a big fan of the black plastics around the cx 30 but I was willing to compromise as my wife liked the cx 30 more. Seating position is totally different on the cx 30 and it comes at a huge price for somebody under 175 cm. Windows come to high up and because of the upright position of the seats you have to set the seat too close to the steering wheel. Visibility is poor unless you raise the seat and if you do so you will be rubbing your knees on the steering column every time you get in and out of the car. It did not feel comfortable at all. Mazda 2 felt more comfortable and definitely the 3 was better as my driving position was spot on and the windows did not come so high up.
