It's kinda glaring how this was easily avoided, if when the card is scanned, and it fails, to have a system automatically notify management and/or lock down the vip area. Especially if management knew there were mind controlling creatures that exist (hence the rule not to look the customer in the eye)
Right AND the manager being OFF site...🙄 should have been a backup on hand at all times. Especially if its this dangerous
But then you wouldn't have a story.
@@scarsonslc facts
@@scarsonslcwell not exactly, you would have a different story.
Yup.. having worked a long time in the restaurant and bar scene. They clearly were under staffed and under bad management.
I love a good rules based horror where the protagonist actually tries to follow the rules.
Have you listened to the one where the kid takes a job in the cemetery list of rules one, or the rules one where the guy takes a job in the morgue? Those are both really good ones!
I liked the one at the gas station.
@@blownupbombsthe one with tic tik the crow?
@@sweetheartreese7764 yeah that one, the crow that likes popcorn and green tic tacs
@@dennisvicarth6823 I love that video
I'm pretty sure we're all well aware of why Hector's card was declined. You can't be eating the staff and expect to not get kicked out of the club
Really enjoyed that one. Thirty years ago our vip room had rules also. Mostly about what to do in case of an overdose or jealous boyfriend/girlfriend situation. It was pretty calm for the most part, but our bouncer was a mountain of a man that moved quicker than a 5yr old on a sugar binge. It was a good job, and I enjoyed the perks. I also followed the rules.
What was it like?
Dying at "5yo with a sugar binge".. I would rather deal with ghouls than that bunch lol
The description made me snort my RedBull , thanks ! 😂 I guess my sinuses are awake now, maybe now I'll get more air through these narrow mo.....tubes . 🤧
Anyone else absolutely LOVE the “strange set of rules” stories? They’re my favorite, along with his story telling abilities, AMAZING!
Wait, wait, wait! You're in a bar that serves vampires and management is 20 minutes away! That would drive OSHA absolutely crazy!😂
Man, you're hands down my favorite of all the creepypasta/no sleep story telling channels, with Dark Somnium as a high 2nd. While is usually just listen to these, I really appreciate actually getting to see you tell the story. That and all the images and clips you show relating to the story really adds a nice extra touch. The effort you put into these videos is much appreciated and doesn't go unnoticed!
yh i agree these vids r awsome i found this channel afew months ago randomly and ever since ive made sure to watch every single upload since that day up till today hes vids have gotten alot better and the faact he does the storytelling rlly adds to the effect and a nice extra touch to make u rllly feel like ur actually living it too KEEP IT UP MR LIGHTHOUSE!!!!
If you like dark somnium, he reads a lot of stories written by doctor plagues world, check him out. He does so many original stories, that's what I like the best, its something 🆕
LH and Dark are two of my favourites too! Have you heard Viidith22? He's very good!
Edit: And also Romnex!
its an honor to be mentioned alongside ligthouse, hes awesome :)
@@Darksomnium i love how you guys are so flippin supportive of each other 🖤
That's pretty awesome 😎
I really like Brenda and her kind. I wish there's some kind of a backstory to her or a collection of stories of her encounters with patrons. Bouncers always have interesting stories to tell.
My question is how the hell does Brenda receive these texts or text back😂😂like does she have a voice🤔
I'm wondering if I could get her digits!
I D&D nerded out when she appeared, because (if nobody is aware) there are dark elves (drow) that worship a Spider goddess and when this spider goddess gives her blessing, half of your body turns into a Spider. A whole lot of fun. I really like when Fantasy monsters find their way into real life stories.
@@Dirahanonymousshe is supernatural but also implied to have intelligence,so she probably has a device or maybe there's some telepathic stuff going on when they send messages.
All fun and games until some wears silver jewelry
She reminds me of the spider woman from the sewer worker story
Outstanding! Love this! The rules were a big part, but not 90% of the story. SO good... and Stephen is just the perfect narrator.
I wouldn't even say it's a rules story at this point. A key to rules stories is there is no story and breaking rules is just a catalyst for spooky things to happen. They're kind of like the teen slasher or haunted house of the creepypasta genre, low effort, made for scares, not a good story.
As creepypastas go, this is a pretty good short story I could see in a published collection of spooky stories. Disguising it as a rules story might even be a strategy to lower expectations then surprise the reader with an actual story.
totally agreed

Hahaha. I came here to say this!!!
Vampires make some of the greatest stories. They each have their own slant making them unique and interesting. None of them seem to be just, here we go another vampire story. But hey we get a new vampire story. BTW I love watching you tell them. Seeing each characters come to life in your face, that makes them so much better.
I figured he was a siren with the whole calamari snacking and the eye contact juju. Also he mentioned a nautical star on the card. Not to mention the sharp tooth smile that would be at home on a deep sea fish lol. What do i know just thought about a hat wearing beauty named Kayla
@@Jay-gq4ng Probably more than me, on a good day. Most of what I know or thought I knew I have forgot. Unless I never knew it, then never mind nothing to see here. LOL
I used to love going to vampire clubs in Toronto way back....
@@Jay-gq4ng the story does mention vampires and other blood suckers so vampire was probably just the easiest thing to use as an example. the fish symbols werem't subtle so I'd agree on siren or something like it.
He was a siren. The amount of clues practically slap you in the face. The nautical star on the black card was a nice touch. Sirens drink blood too...ask a little beauty named Kayla what happened to Bob. 😅
What are you referring to? A TV show or book or something?
Well done with the Kayla reference
Most likely a vampire as they are often depicted to have power to charm people.
@phoenixx913 and Sirens are able to hypnotize you too.

Id loveeee to see a series from Daniel working there, I’d binge that like crazy
As a retired bartender from my college years, that was a treat to listen too! Very original, nice change of setting from most stories ! Thank you for posting these awesomely narrated stories so often!
Excellent story! The corkscrew was such a killer (pun intended!) detail. Also, I loved your voice for the tired old vamp - sounds like he's "been there, done that, bought the t-shirt." Which is exactly how I imagine a tired old vamp would sound. Great suspense in this one, too.
I'm so happy to have another story to listen to. ❤ Thank you Lighthouse for doing these narrations. You have an amazing talent.
Beer in hand, ass in lawn chair, sun sets in 45min, a summer night and a new rules story from lighthouse. Life is good in this moment

When it was first revealed what the place was I almost wanted to click off, vampire stories are interesting but I wasn't enthralled with the thought that there's yk, probably people dying downstairs. I'm not a huge fan of that type of stuff, but then clarified it's from apparently willing participants and presented that they don't always die this is actually one of my favorites! I love mystical fantastical elements to stories like this that are grounded and still value human life :)
This is in a particular setting from a creepy pasta series. The out break story and sewer story seem to be the same setting as this one. The emporium not having better protocols is really stupid, especially considering what happens in the outbreak.
I'm so glad I accidentally stumbled into your channel about 8 months ago. It's been non-stop hours upon hours of entertainment and excitement. I've tried listening to other channels, but they just don't do whatever it is you do. It's awesome to see your channel's growth and I wish for many more years of it! Take care.
Out of all the channels I listen to, this one has a special place in my heart. I love your voice and the way you tell these stories ❤
I really liked this one!! I particularly like that it was a story with rules as opposed to a rules story. As always the narration with wonderful and the individuals voiced to perfection. Thank you and the author very much!!

I gotta tell you bro, you are getting further away from the competition with every new story. I use to get many narrators on my home page but now it just you and Mr Creeps. You two have set the bar so high it’s out of reach for the rest. Awesome job once again.
I wish I could agree but creeps does that three to four words pause thing I just can't get over.
The Dark Somnium has Creeps beat I feel like.

@@codyhensley640 I use to not notice then my girl pointed it out and I just kept anticipating the next part and couldn't get over it haha my mind was like just say the damn thing.
@@angrypickle4040hands down agree. My first exposure to creepypastas was Mr. Creeps but then I found Creepy Ghost Stories and Lighthouse. I then found Dark Somnium. I haven't really listened to anybody except Lighthouse and Dark Somnium in several months. I got burnt out on the way Mr. Creeps spoke which is unfortunate bc there's a lot of stories that he does that sound like they would be good. I've been waiting and hoping for a Lighthouse and Dark Somnium collaboration but hasn't happened yet. I know Ronnie does collabs, but I've never heard Stephen do any since he does all the different voice work himself.

Stephen is truly amazing. Not only does he do all of the amazing voices, accents, and attitudes for the characters in the story, but he's very on point with the sound effects too. He puts the sounds of gunshots, locks latching, engines starting or revving, tires peeling out, and more, all while showing his face as he makes the different characters personas. Nobody else brings a story to life like this narrator does. Definitely the best of the best. Let us all appreciate how much work he puts into these are thank him for it.🖤

Or maybe even a haunted attraction as that’s interesting and can be considered a prank by the narrator 🎃👻
Or maybe a baby sitter has strange rules about taking kids trick or treating.

Oh man this was SOOOO good. When someone can take a genre that has existed in a million in one forms, and make something new and magical with it well thats pure joy.
Wouldn't it be better to lock the V.I.P. door as soon as a card shows declined? I mean the fact that they've been declined probably means they've already proven their @-hole status. Better yet, Have the notice sent to Brenda so she can "properly greet the customer" as they step through as only a spider daedra can.🕷
I think the card scanning should unlock the door so when it’s declined the door doesn’t unlock or open not someone opening after scanning
You'd think there'd be a a frigging bouncer or two around for this stuff. Like, wtf, just send them a notice on the phone the second the card declines...
