Good to see that you're supporting the small guy and I pray you never forget where you come from and where you started and you know your channel has quite frankly blew up
Agreed def a more down to earth rc channel not trying to just have u but everything new that comes out. You go into detail of where to buy from what parts used and show great running footage I really appreciate what Cape Crawlers does for the hobby Thank you
Adam, great review of the Gila. On my third one in several different configurations. DBRC knocked it out of the park with this one. Easily, my best performing 4M. I personally like the defender/bronco front with high trail rear. I would take a look at Injoras adjustable c-hubs. It allows you to tuck up that pinion while still maintaining caster. Also, there new front brass knuckles and front counter weights might help out with the weight bias. If you really want to add some bling to the chassis, send those aluminum rails over to Kyle at KTech for some one-off anodizing. Not sure if you’re already running them, but some SlymeBallz from FlubRC really transform those cling-ons. Keep rocking the great content!
Might be a cool video opportunity to do a comparison build. Before you stretch the rear, progressively add weight to the front on the axles and/or wheels so it's as low as possible. See how that effects the front staying down on uphills. Then try the longer back end with the front back to how it is here in this vid, to compare what it takes to get it equal on uphill angle. Short wheel base can have it's advantages, so it'd be cool to see if you can have your cake, and eat it too, sorta speak. :) Thanks Adam!
Adam, thank you for your commitment to the small scale industry! Obviously, we have a great choice of components. Could you please make a video dedicated to the REAL maximum performance adjustment. In simple words, how to make the most capable(from your point of view) rig, with all the angles, travels, /articulations? Thanks
Definitely run high trail rear links. It makes a huge performance difference. I run my Buggin out kit with a Torquebeast X paired to a Meus 2speed transmission and is such a fun rig that you can trial and crawl!
DBRC Gila Monster is a beast! And Davie is one of the best guys out there! Glad to see this chassis come through your channel. 🤘 I’m running HT links on mine and it’s unstoppable
If Matt doesn't mind, I'd definitely check out 'Reactive Terrain' earlier vids. The boys build with a cement soaked cloth method, drooped over forms. Super easy and WAY more durable and looks more realistic than the foam/plaster cloth and paint.
When I saw your thumbnail pic I thought what a ugly stubby turd! However it's growing on me slowly. Maybe within the next 13 minutes I will change my mind completely before I finish this video. Love your content as always! Thank you Adam
The stubby turd you speak of is the cage, which is meant to run a specific body on it (lexan bug). The chassis itself is available alone with all the other printed pieces minus the cage.
Update: I finished the last 13 minutes of the video, and I am sold. Turns out I like stubby turds! Great quality looking kit! They offer so many colors. idk what to go with. Thanks for sharing this rig. I have been building scx24s for a while and this will be a perfect build to get back into some trx4m!
@@KBRC81I think it is amazing. The cage looks great, the color is incredible. I am going to search around and see what the other colors look like and get one ordered!... The stubby turd cage is too trick looking, idk if I'd want to keep it covered!
@@KBRC81 yea 60 bucks for chassis and 35 bucks for the cage so for the whole chassis you se in this vid its 100 bucks after shipping you can get 2-5 chassis that are great quality for that price
@@phillipmartinez7505 im glad you value it for that price thats the thing with value its set person to person what you may see as valuable i see otherwise, id rather go with texoma or hardpark at those prices as get a more effective build thats not so top heavy with some goofy cage

Thanks for doing more TRX4m content! Keep it coming!
Hi Adam. Keep doing this kind of builds from scratch and of course always list the parts in the description. Thanks

He’s chassis is absolutely quality.. Definitely my pick when it comes to TRX4M’s
Yes keep doing 3D printed chassis support the little guys!
i agree but not overpriced ones the price for this is ridiculous.
Wow ya it is I just looked crazy! I didn't realize how expensive it was but still a cool rig!
have you ever considered getting and modifying a hbx deveststor?

Very nice build! Really great looking kit, thanks for a full break down of everything. Have a great weekend, cheers!

Super cool to see you do a video on the gila monster chassis, I love mine 🤟🙌
Thing looks wicked
I’m currently building a mb24 and it’s dope asf
Love this channel. I feel like I will never be done with my TRX4M. lol!

Looks great! Was wondering if the boat sliders backwards?
Love it 👍🏻👍🏻
would love to see some diff chassis kits for the trx4m; and for that matter, others diff size rigs too.
Don’t forget to give the video a Like 👍
Love mine !!!!!
I like it !
could you make a video on your OG jeep gladiator
Sure, still love that thing!
@@CapeCrawlers thank you. i miss watching those, still look back and rewatch all of those on the Scx24 jeep gladiator
How do I build an indoor rock climbing track? Did you use spray foam?

Hey I had a shock leak on my scx24 dooge power wagon what weight oil does it take?
Brass rings in the front wheels will give you the 60/40 split.
With these bigger tires, don't they have a tendency to hit the shocks though?? I want to get me a set of these cling on tires & am curious about that.
It’s perfectly wide enough to clear the shocks at full steer. Probably 1mm of clearance
@@CapeCrawlers cool! 🤙🏼
Now that's a beefy cage print! I like the chubby bug look.
Sorry the Avatar update burned you. They really need to fix that.
This or the furitek titanium chassis?
I want one of these chassis was this the only one
How does it compare to the Trx4m tarantula build? Is it better?
It’s better I think. You’ve got more options for shocks which gives it a slight edge
Are the tires any bigger?

LOL! It’s meant to have a beetle body on it, hence the stubby look.

Check out Tyler Chapman for extended links! He can also do purple links to match the color. Great video have been looking at these kits!
You can hardly call it a TRX4-M what’s stock
I seen the vid the second it was posted
100 bucks for the chassis gtfo thats insane dudes taking people to the cleaners with those prices for printing some shit up
Where do you see $100 for the chassis.
The Gila Monster full kit is $58 and it's my 1st place winning comp rig. Worth every penny.
