You channel is my favorite for trx4m and micro crawlers.....trx4m is my favorite right now...build 5 of them....now slowly working on a trx4m 6x6 just for the fun of it .lol
Thank you for a great video. I just got a used TRX4M and haven't run it. This video is now bookmark and I will be referencing it many times I am sure. This will be a great help to a lot of people.
On the topic of servo mount binding on front upper links, Treal make brass links that have a bow in them where they would bind on the mount. I’m running an Injora chassis (K10), Injora servo mount that came with the 11kg servo, and those Treal links. Even on 59mm shocks, the axles drop really well with no binding, and this is the case for every shock position. On some of the lower shock mounts, the only thing to bind is the UJ maxing out!
Also in the front links if you really wanted to just don’t run any ball in it just a screw through the hole in the link and that’s it. Gives you a lot more flex
I should have got the hardware kit. Almost half the stock hardware was stripped out from the factory. Made disassembly a bit of a challenge. Great info.
interesting about the battery balance chargers. I've been trying to find data showing longevity and safety between using the usb charger that also uses the balance leads vs an actual charger that does a few other options like storage and discharge. I cannot find that data but I hear ppl say it all the time. Yet, most fires in my area reported have been batteries on an aftermarket charger or just an accident with the battery.
Convinced me NOT to chose this as a second platform to my SCX24s. I wonder why there are almost no aftermarket parts for the CR18P/FX118 platform though.
Great video! Not sure if you ran into this problem but I put some 59mm shocks on my high trail and with the increase in height, am getting binding on the front end while driving straight. I put softer springs to get the ride height down but no luck. Right now, I designed and 3D printed some 6mm spacers to put in the shock to make them function as 53mm shocks but am still having the issue. How would I get the 59mm of travel but keep the truck low?
So I sold my TRX4m last year sometime because I was tired of not running it with other people. Fast forward to now, I’m on vacation in BC Canada and on a hike when I realized it would totally awesome and easy to carry a mini crawler with me whenever I travel. With that said, would you buy an RTR mini crawler and mod it out or would you rather piece together a mini crawler fully from aftermarket pieces? I’m not sure what I want to do this time. I loved my truck and how it was setup (minus not really having any good foams/inserts out at the time) and am thinking of doing something similar again. Had a bronco 4m with the injora LCG chassis and brass links. HH motor and all the Traxxas brass available at the time. Injora tires and Traxxas beadlocks. It performed exactly how I wanted it to other than lacking in sidehilling because of no support in the tires with all the added weight. I know it’s a long question but you’re definitely my go to guy when it comes to the mini trucks!
Me personally I would buy an RTR and build it out over time. I just did a ground up parts build and it was fun, but I like the incremental process of transforming an RTR
@@CapeCrawlers I may just go that route and with my past experience stock electronics did fine I’ll definitely get the crawler gears this time or that two speed transmission they have now
Can I ask if the 59mm shocks of injora compatible to the trx4m stock chassis without the lay down servo? Kinda curious to add ride height to my rig without worrying about the links and servo mount rubbing?
Hi brother, I’ve IR40 body and brasses everywhere 😅 what do you recommend as axles for a good Clarence and good front weight distribution? If I will put Injora portal axles I will lost the brasses. Thanks.
Hi Cape i will a bundle from the Trx4mt ordern but on the traxxas site they shipping only not to germany. is it right or a choke? Can we talk or whatsapp about some other idea when you have time for it. Greetz Andy
bit of a noob question lol i dont have one of these chargers but would you storage charge at 1A. ive been wondering for some time if im storage charging the sxc24 battery right at 0.3A or should it be higher with it being 350mah.
I just got my TRX4M today. Noticed that the front end binds/hops under full steering lock. But...that's what any locked front diff does in a real truck with steering input.
Hey Adam would you wanna buy my scx 24 jeep gladiator in tan it has brass axles and brass wheels upgraded brass links and a injora motor paired with a new beefy steering servo I spent $700 on it but I'm willing to go down to $400
Why does my trx4m drive side ways even if I changed the body, shocks, wheels, drive shafts, and motor, please respond it’s very annoying and it makes the wheels rub on the body
Cool but will never buy a car that doesnt use universal chargers and batteries. Thats just an obvious tell that the company is a unnecessary money sink. I want to buy components, not diffrent chargers that takes up space and plugs i need for the tools and components.
@@revo-fpv2180 how does soldering help when you buy a car and it has x brands ecosystem, useless nimh batteries or t-plug esc and a charger all of it which people dont want or need... Thx anyway though.

I really like your videos. One of my rare subscriptions 😊. Always informative, not to long and entertaining with good hints. Keep it up 👍🏻
What I do for the batteries in my 1/10 scale rc’s is put them in a .50 cal ammo can it is a great safe storage unit that takes up minimal space
A+ emphasizing battery safety!

FINNALY YOU MADE A VIDEO OF THIS!!!
I have my injora lcg chassis coming today and I can’t wait

Wait a minute. I heard you said that firitek is working in a lower cost version of brushless system? Tell me more about it.
Thank you for all this good advice

Question I love trasxxas pro light kit. Is there one for 3 party brushless esc? 😊
This was super helpful, thank you so much!
Loved this video Nice

Do you have a video for the bug build you showed in this video?

Yes they are. I ran them with the stock servo setup with no issues.
Thanks!
Any ways to DIY a limit strap with rubber bands?
I know they exist for the scx24 but, havent seen anything for the Trx4m.

Great video thanks 🤘✌️
Awesome video.
Can the oil cause the stock shocks to stick? Mine stick in the compressed position.
IMPORTANT!
Should I buy a new one or build one from scratch? Pros and cons!
Does this apply for a 24 scale?

I have some silver Meus axles on mine, you should try a set
Where u get the front silver links at I would love to use this

Charge at 1c or less.
Could you do another video on the cr18p rock van!

That’s a common thing with these. Some short hex extensions will fix it.
Can you do a full review if the gladiator?
You should do the same to the scx24.😉
What VW beetle body do you have?

Maybe bent chassis
make a video about trx4m injora wheel weights
I
Have a Traxxas trx4m with INJORA part mine is a defender injora is the company that you are wanting to go for
3rd like 😎😎

I thought the same.
But the battery connection is actually really good.
I wish it was open source
Ok but on a normal Traxxas you can change the connection and on this car a battery is $20
Someone needs to learn how to solder 👀

It comes with a 2S Lipo battery. No NIMH junk
Can i please have a fully upgraded scx24 or trx4m
