First time to find you on you tube and totally enjoyed your broadcast!! Totally relate to your comment about being in the life we’re meant to be in. I’m almost 71 and never look back any longer. I’ve lived the life I needed and appreciate it in ways I couldn’t have understood 10 years ago. Knitting socks has brought me to my happy moments being alone at this age. I have found such joy in my making self!

I have returned to my Butterfly Blanket now that the weather in Charleston SC has gotten cooler after a scorching summer. This is such a sweet project with an interesting history as shared by Leslie Friend. I'm using Big Twist yarn as suggested in the pattern, but I had to go up to a Size 10 needle for the fabric to feel right. Big Twist is a heavy worsted that has a tendency to drag in the humidity here. I'll knit another Butterfly Blanket, but in a different yarn next time. I enjoyed this episode.

Welcome back! Glad to hear that you had such a lovely summer with your family. I enjoyed "The Midnight Library" so much! Although it did take me a bit to get into, but that's often the case. I really liked Alan Rickman a lot as an actor but have NO interest in reading his journals. I hope he gave permission! I'll try and join in reading "Becoming Mrs. Lewis" with you. I just put it on reserve at my library. Treasure that I love you from your son in the background! You have it on TH-cam so it will never disappear and when he's older you can always play back this episode. It was so sweet.

Language differences are great aren’t they. I can confirm us British do say ‘up my street’, but actually use ‘alley’ just as much. Another one which I always notice is herbs…you guys say ‘erbs’…the Brits pronounce the ‘h’.

Hi, new to your vidoes. Just have a quick question about your sock knitting. Do you use the whole hank of yarn for the size sock you knit or do you have leftovers? If you do have leftover, what do you do with it? I have so much leftover sock yarn and I've knit shawls and cowls, but what else is there? Thanks and lovely knitting.
