Love all of your pattern picks and plans! I tend to just knit whatever I get attracted to. Oh have to add that this year, I want to get a new winter coat and was thinking of Navy too!
I just finished the DRK Everyday sweater. I used Kelbourne Woolens Scout yarn in Chestnut Heather, which is a light worsted or heavy dk (marked with a 3). I put a split ribbed hem on the bottom (4" in the back, and 3" in the front) and a split rib hem on the sleeves. I also enjoyed your discussion of sewing plans.
Some fun plans! I would make the Yule Do by Isabell Kraemer rather than the Alpen Bloom by Caitlin Hunter as I’ve found I often have to make a lot of adjustments to Caitlin Hunter patterns to get a good fit which I haven’t had to do with Isabell Kraemer patterns
Hello from San Diego, just found your channel, my kind of fall podcast, love the dogs, too lol. Fibre Tales has beautiful patterns and a lovely podcast as well Your sweater Looks amazing
You have some beautiful plans for the fall! Hard choice btwn the two colorwork sweaters…they are both beautiful! I too am sensitive to alpaca and have had to stop working on something midway…I seem to be fine with baby alpaca though😊I am planning to make the Sunday cardigan by petite knit this fall.
Exciting plans for autumn! Both knitting and sewing. I wish I could sew... I am sensitive to alpaca as well. Some yarns with alpaca are crazily itchy for me. You are not alone 😅 As for wool, I can wear almost anything. Greetings
Wow loved this episode and so glad I found your channel!! I just cast on a Siri cardigan by LeKnit. I've not made one of her patterns before and I'm really impressed. Super detailed and thoughtful. I am thinking about fall sewing too! I'm planning a skirt for my daughter using the tutorial for self drafting by @hisydgraham. Just finished a pair of tapered pomona pants in some brushed bull denim I ordered from Ewe Fibers. Its great. I want to check out the Burnside bibs! ❤
Thank you so much for another wonderful, informative and crafty episode! I purchased the burnside bibs and i have yet to to make them, because I’ve never made overalls and two don’t know what beginner fabric to use. Any suggestions for what fabric to use as a beginner sewist? Thanks so much!
Thanks so much for watching! I'm so glad you enjoyed the episode! I'm really enjoying sewing with the Lived in cotton twill from Blackbird Fabrics (but you can get twill from any fabric store) It's a good weight and won't shift around when sewing. You can search on TH-cam for the Burnside Bibs and you will find a helpful tutorial (I followed it the first time I made the Bibs) Good luck! They are so fun to make and wear!
I had to laugh again at how many overlaps we have!😊 I’ve just started the Songbird mittens. They are soooo beautiful. I’ve not really done colorwork before, and I am really afraid I will mess them up, but they are so beautiful I want to try! Yours look amazing. You might want to look at Sari Norland’s salut cheri beret pattern: it is free and very similar in construction to the others you mentioned. I’ve made it twice already for a family girls trip to Paris. The Minerva cardigan also has those cute little puff sleeves, but might be easier to wear because you could leave it open, thereby keeping the focus off the broad shoulders? The kfo silk mohair in oatmeal could give a good marled look, it’s also cool-toned (we share a similar complexion 😊). I love the cabled sweater you have on, it’s gorgeous! And your dogs!!! So adorable!!
Thanks so much for watching! That's too funny that we have so many similarities in our knitting choices 😁 If you mess up the mittens it's not a big deal, you will learn things along the way and that's what's most important 😊👍 The Minerva cardigan is so pretty and I love how she's styled it with a beret in one of her sample pictures 💕
I love all your thoughts and ideas. 😁 I’m just starting to get into sewing and plan to make an unnamed skirt and a pair of Bob pants. I have so many WIPs for knitting I don’t know where to start! I’m waiting on my yarn to start the No Frills Cardi by Petite Knit - that will be a long term project. I just finished the Top Darjeeling that was just a bit short for my liking so I’m giving it to my daughter and going to do another one for myself. As I watched this episode I am working on my very first pair of socks. I have never wanted to knit socks until now but the fever has hit me! One suggestion to improve your filming: I would suggest you not end your sentences in the inflection suggesting it’s a question when it is not a question. (I think there’s a name for this in speech pathology but I don’t know what it is) This inflection you are doing (not all the time but pretty frequently) makes you sound unsure of yourself. You are a great knitter and a great resource for all of us knitters so say it with confidence! Thanks for sharing great inspiration and take care 😊
Thanks so much for watching and for your suggestions! 🤗 I appreciate the constructive feedback! I really want to knit the No Frills cardigan too! Too many projects, too little time!
I get it with the alpaca. If I try to wear it next to skin I end up scratching like a dog infested with fleas. I can't stand it. Lovely on the hands. Awful everywhere else. And I can wear Plotulopi next to skin without a blink.

Hi! Thanks for watching and for your suggestions! I really tried this week to watch my "UM's" and I think you will find this week's episode a lot less distracting! Thanks so much for the reminder ☺️
I didnt find it distracting at all! I actually didn't even notice it until I looked down and read that nasty comment. You're a lovely young lady & communicate just fine.
Loved knitting through your podcast, thank you for the episode!
You are so welcome! Thanks so much for watching 💕🤗

Thanks so much for watching! I like to make plans but don't always end up following them lol! But it's fun to dream about projects 😁
Thank you for sharing

Completely agree with this comment about the fit! ❤

Thanks so much for watching! The Sunday Cardigan is in my favorites too. I love the detail on the yoke 💕

It's such a shame because some alpacas are so pretty and soft in your hands, just not for wearing! Thanks so much for watching 💕🤗
I really like the "Yule do" sweater pattern. Perhaps you could use the green as the main colour and cream or white for the colourwork.
Thanks so much for watching!! I think those colors would look really nice! 💕
