I really did not like Picard 1 & 2, but I"m such a fan of TNG that I was so happy about Season 3, I've already done a rewatch. I love ST books too! I would never read the Picard The Last Best Hope but I think I'll read it now after your recommendation. I feel like we think a bit a like! I have never played RPG but gave this a go and I am loving it.. pretty much, for me, it's like writing my own novels but it's a game in that between narratives, you roll and that makes it fun to find where the story takes you.
I loved S3. It’s the best season I’ve seen of Trek since Voyager. I liked all of your picks. I think they could’ve used some of the Destiny elements in the final storyline of the show but that’s fine. I would maybe include the “Dominion” book as part of the DS9 worlds series as an insight into the Great Link post DS9 (the show doesn’t follow the story but I feel like it has a similar thread). I also wish they had done the final two episodes as one of their “tv movies” and maybe given it a wider release and maybe not do it on a Wednesday night but it is what it is
Had they gotten a wide release, it might have made millions, making up some of the cost of production. They wouldn’t need to spend too much more in marketing because word of mouth was so good! I think Paramount just didn’t understand what a great show they had on their hands. I just got done watching the finale with my parents (my dads a casual fan and my mom isn’t a fan), but they both loved it and wished they could have seen it on the big screen.
I have recently started watching it. I’ve gotten through 3 episodes. It’s fine, but it’s not particularly holding my attention. As opposed to Picard Season 3, which I’m almost done with my 4th watch through of the entire season.
