It always makes me laugh to know there are people that exist in this world who think adults shouldn't be allowed to go to Disney and enjoy themselves. And Disney says, oh yeah? Here is a park-wide party made just for those very people. Thank you, Disney, for knowing that you don't have to be a literal child to have child-like joy and enthusiasm about the things you love.
Given how new Disney theme parks still are, many of the people who grew up with Disney are adults now! 20/30 years ago, adults hadn't really "grown up" with Disney!
Videopolis is where my nephew met his girlfriend when he was on holiday back in the 80s. They are still happily married and living near Orlando. Huge Disney fans as well. It is great to see the 80s theme back, even if its just for one night. Great video as always Peter and Kitra!
I love the 80’s. I’m 46 so that was my time. I wish I could have went to this but thankfully you did and can let us see the radical stuff. I was 7 years old when Empire Strikes Back came out. I lived in Portland Oregon. We went at night to see the movie. When the credits started rolling an usher came out and the curtains closed. (Yes, we used to have curtains in front of the theater screen) He said “I want to inform you that Mt. Saint Helens has erupted and we are washing off ash from the car windows”. Empire Strikes Back is my all time favorite movie because of that evening.
Ds Plays yes it was a crazy night for a 7 year old. The movie was intense and then we were given dust masks before leaving the theater. It looked like it was snowing gray flakes. This was one of the early eruptions that lead up to May 18 1980 eruption that took the mountain top off.
This whole event looked freaking epic!!! Kitra out there living her best Ewok life and Peter with C-3PO, the all-out joy was just infectious from start to finish and I loved it!!!
I'm glad you posted this. We've been considering going to the Villains Night one of these and having never been to a Disneyland After Dark we weren't sure what to expect or if it would be worth it. This helped a lot.
This was amazing. Seeing Kitra's face when the Ewoks came out :D I would also say (as you do fancy graphics now ;) ) that if you give anyting 10 out of 5 and you both do it. You should call it an Ordrinary Adventure Bomb and have the star go Kaboom! Love it.
You guys did this party right, you are the only channel that got all the best photo opps, dancing, and food, everyone else missed C3PO and ran out of time. You guys were smart to get there early, Definitely more worth than the T-shirts. Although I wish Disney extended the after hours events a little longer and wished that they at least included a T-shirt with the purchase of a ticket. Very happy you got the Ewoks.
Yeah I wish the party was like 6 hours instead of 4! Thanks for watching and the kind words! And we agree - seeing ewoks and c3po made our night so fun
Being from the MidWest, I've always only gone to Disney World, never Batuu West, and I have to admit, your videos make Disney Land look so much fun! Everything in one place! It looks so much more convenient for casual day tripping. DW is an event you have to plan for, how many days, which park first, all the fast pass nonsense. Just--we're here again, come with us!
Hi There, wow my jaw was on the ground from your C3PO moment for like 5 solid minutes-I cannot believe that awesomeness. Loved the pause at the castle projections. You covered so much ground on 80's night!!! Wow. Loved it. Thank You!
HEllo! Kitra, I am also a child of 83, I was into Fraggle Rock, Rainbow Bright, GEM and Pound Puppies. This channel is such a fun place to be! I have been watching older videos and as someone who's nerves do not enjoy park rides, it is so cool to finally see the inside of lots of rides (Thanks Peter). The Symphony Cruise got me hooked, loved the budget hotels too! Peter has enthusiastic knowledge that is great to see in video form compared to /Film. Looking forward to catching up to the new cruise videos. Thanks for the smiles. Give the pups a hug, Take care
OMG!! The Gummi Bears Theme song... I would jump allll on my family's living room couches! of course its straight sugar.. haha I love fruit punch though.
“Get some gummy bear. We’re gonna get some..gummy..berry..juice...na daaaaaaaaa” 😂😂 I’m snorting laughing 😂😂 Kitra, you are hilarious and adorable! I’m an MJ fan and I loved it! You got creative with the copyright issues 😂 And Peter let you sing your heart out. And Peter jumping in the background 😂 This is one of my faves. You guys are the cutest!
"It was totally awesome, dudes!!" THERE is your '80s slang, lol. Loved the vid, loved Peter hopping after the gummie bear juice, loved the photo ops with the ewoks and the speeder bikes and R2 & 3PO.
Omg potato barrels!!!! I’m calling tater tots that now. Thank you Peter! 10 out of 5 Peters.... 19:10 lol loved the stepbrothers reference kitra... “so much room for activities!” Your back and forth about the shirts at the end was funny y’all are awesome 😃 always enjoy your videos
Wow, what a great night! The 80's were my formative years (adolescence and early adulthood) and I have such nostalgia for this decade, especially hanging out and dancing with friends at Videopolis. Thank you again for making my whole week!
It is good to see your perspective. Another channel had a review and they didn't like the 80's night as much. I thought it looked like a blast and was really waiting for your review. It did not disappoint!
I have been watching your videos for about a year now and I can say that I absolutely love you guys and your videos! I am OBSESSED with theme parks particularly Disney + Star Wars(!!!) but since I live in Australia (though I have visited both Disneyland + Disney World) I can't just go whenever I like, so I love the fact that I get to go along with you guys on your adventures! You're both such positive people and have a wonderful joyous energy about things that most adults deem as 'childish'! If I had a terrible workday, watching your videos always puts me in a good mood! Thank you for the effort you guys put in! I really really appreciate it and am so excited to see what the future holds with your videos!
Greetings programs! Yes, I miss the Tron tunnel in the people mover ride. Thanks for showing the highlights of 80’s night. Very nostalgic. So many good cartoons from those years- Gummi bears, Duck tales, and Darkwing duck. Ah the memories!
I'm definitely old enough to remember Disneyland in the 80's, though I missed most of the decade because I didn't live in LA, I DID spend Grad Nite in 1988 at the park AND I still have my program AND my plush Winnie the Pooh with a Mortar Board, and he still plays the theme song when you push his hand. I also remember the peoplemover through Tron, and that was awesome.
I’m so happy that Kitra got to take her photo with the Ewoks!!! This was a great episode. The food tasting parts were also really great, the wind made it sound as if you two were in a horror 80s movie but with delicious food! ✨
Omg! You guys got so lucky with C3PO and R2!! I’m glad to know that I’m not the only one who loves splash mountain! It’s my favorite ride too! I was sad that it was down for refurbishment when I was in WDW last week.
Looks fun, there characters I never heard before, I hope in the future they will do 2000s nite at Disneyland one day in the futures, and I can’t wait for you guys to film for Star Wars nite. ❤️❤️❤️
The choices of Star Wars characters for these photo ops is a cool little Easter egg. Star Tours first opened in 198u, so that makes sense. And the Ewoks and Droids (R2 and 3PO) both had cartoons that started in 1985.
Just watched your newest video on the Merriest Party and you’re right, this was totally one of the best parties! Funny enough, I didn’t follow you guys last year but thought you looked familiar, and I smiled during your shot when you’re looking at the R2-D2/ C-3PO line! Okay so this adventure was so RAD! Meet and greets were epic and so much fun. I felt like I was there too. Amazing job Peter and Kitra. This Friday night I’ll recreate the sloppy joe tots for my wife and son. #yummy you two nailed it big time.
I’m only 21 years old but the 80’s are my favorite decade for music, as well as a lot of movies. And just the vibe of that time was awesome! Wish I could have been there!
Love and grew up in the 80's and would totally love that gnarly munchies you had there. An have no idea why, when I think of 80's must talk like Crush meets Bill and Ted. The way you 2 look at the end, I laughed and felt your pain of being up that late. Do hope they bring this back or do another decade.
My wife and I attended the very first "Pirates and Princesses" party at WDW long ago. It was AMAZEBALLS. We went in costume (dressed as pirates, of course!). I don't think they allow that any more? But it was absolutely worth the investment of the ticket price. Super limited crowds. The rides were all sill operating so we rode the Haunted Mansion ALL BY OURSELVES. In fact we each took a private Doom Buggy! We rode Pirates Of The Caribbean ALL BY OURSELVES. And its really amazing what you can hear in the attractions when the white noise of thundreds of extra human bodies is removed. You wouldn't think people sitting in a ride would make that much ambient sound, but by gosh, they DO. So as a fellow Disney stalwart, I agree that the after-hours events (even when they are limited by time) are hands down worth the price. And now I gotta throw this out: We suspect that it was *actually* Johnny Depp playing Jack Sparrow on the parade float that night. The Disney cast members they pick for Sparrow are superb, but if this wasn't J.D., he must have been a clone!
Ok, you have to listen to the background noise, from the park, when 10 Kitras popped up for the tots. It sounded like a horror flick, when the little girl runs out and stabs someone. Lol Ree Ree Ree!!!! It was a Smurftastic video; that's my 80's closing remark. 😀

if anyone deserved to get those cool ass photo ops its you guys ! I love seeing the few 80s outfits in the background. The excitement/shock in Peter's face when he saw C3PO was priceless.

I feel like Disney has definitely been catering to adults more over the last decade or so. Its pretty awesome to see!
@@ThemeParkAcademy Because the birth rate has gone down. They are losing their traditional kiddie market.
