I remember they interviewed one of the engineers at Otis elevators for a documentary piece on the ride’s construction and he said “When Disney came to us and asked for an elevator that intentionally drops it was a real challenge because our whole business is making elevators that don’t”
I went on this ride 2 years ago, my parents just took us to the ride and I had no idea what type of ride it is, so imagine getting on this ride and being lifted up into the air, having no clue it's moving and then the freaking doors opening to show how high you are (I was confused) and then it fucking dropped into hell.
My sister had that happen with Rockin’ roller coaster. No one told her it was a thrill ride, and my dad wouldn’t let her watch the ride take off. She cried.
I do really like the paris version of the ride with how they've recently changed it to slightly alter the story that the little girl who passes away in the elevator comes to warn you and try to help/hinder you from getting out, talking about how the creatures in the elevator haft have found you. Also great when it all goes quiet except for her and she says "they know you're here, whatever you do, don't scream" and then it immediately drops you along with laughter from the creatures, really cool addition!!
@@katmarrs7054 I just wanted to reply to you because names. Also drops scare me. I've ridden the Anaheim one once in my life and nearly passed out in the line on the way there.
I love how much effort you put into the graphics, particularly in recreating the Hollywood Tower Hotel's exterior. A simple pink and red outline would've been sufficient, but you added details like the fire escape, the asymmetric windows, the dormers, etc. It really boosts the quality of this video.
I worked at Disney back in 2016. I got to see the behind the scenes things at TOT as part of job training. The small group of new hires I was in were led up on the roof of that building, and in a service elevator. We saw things going on while it was in operation.
I worked at the Tower of Terror when I was in college and you nailed this. It was really cool to see all of the systems we used to work with covered in your video. Great job!
I thought you were going to drop right away so I was surprised when they played the story. This also meant I was holding my breath every time the doors closed. Also I thought the screams were fake. I thought they were meant to add to the mood.
It's intersting to find out that my family and I were not the only ones who went on this ride with absolutely no knowledge on how the ride works. I'm Korean, and my family and I went on this ride in Disneyland Tokyo. We thought this was some kind of a haunted mansion, so we were expecting to see some disney ghosts. I was the only one who could understand Japanese, but I wasn't a navite speaker either, so it took some time to finally understand the explanation of the ride, and it was at the very last moment right before the drop sequence. I told my family, "uhh..they say we're going to drop." All of my family froze, and then...! Whoa, I'll never forget that experience. And from then on, I never go on a ride before I understand what kind of a ride it is.
Imagine somebody else can speak Korean on the ride, and they hear your family being liberated then all the sudden they hear you say that and hear your family just die lmao
Hello from Australia! Yes, this was for my family and i. There was a large queue when we visited Tokyo three months ago, so we all assumed it must be a wonderful ride. When we began to queue, we assumed it was a haunted house and couldn't figure out why there were so many people there. We had no idea it would plummet because we didn't know any Japanese. Never again going on it, lol
Fun Fact: The rise and drop patterns when originally built was about a 1000 different ways. Years ago they somehow added more patterns, so the chances of you getting the same ride twice is very slim. Though one difference could be you get the top door to open for your picture or the 2nd (one undernearth). Perhaps you could be suspended for a second and have the ride shake. Regardless you can ride it over and over and it'll somehow be different every time.
Nothing in Disney World is more than 200 feet tall, the reason why is because if they went any higher they would have to put a blinking light at the top of it to alert airplanes flying in the area.
rlt152 you’re right it is 199.5 feet. Dang I never knew none of the rides could go above 200 ft. Who would have known lol imagine riding a ride and just seeing plane coming at you
@@e.cygnus5372 they CAN go higher, its not against any rules or anything - Disney just thinks the hazard lights ruins the aesthetic of the ride's story-telling exterior
I was too small when I rode it. They didn't have seatbelts, just a single bar at the same height for people of all sizes in your row, it was no where close to touching me, the ride lifted me far off my seat and I had to hang on with my arms to keep from slipping out.
We went on this ride 1yr ago. We had been on most every other ride. We were looking for a short line and found this one. WE HAD NO CLUE what it was. My wife hates heights, and until we were in line, we then learned where all the screaming was coming from! It was amazing and all encompassing! Then when we fell, went back up, fell again and again, my wife lost her mind and I lost control and laughed so freaking hard! A memory that will last a life time! Such an amazing ride!
@@BHBalast "Guests who want to visit Galaxy’s Edge can’t buy separate admission specifically for that part of the park - the only way to get in is to buy a regular ticket to Disneyland. A single-day ticket on May 31 starts at $129. From June 1 through September, the base price for one-day admission to Disneyland goes up to $149 per person ages 10 and older."
I went on this ride as a kid back in the mid 90s. It was incredible. Such an immersive, visceral entertainment experience. I appreciate it now even more, nearly 3 decades later for the engineering and planning of it all.
When I first went on this ride I brought an unfinished ice cream sandwich wrapped in napkins, and when we dropped, the napkins flew up in my face and I almost passed out thinking they were wet bats or something😅
My first time on it, the doors opened and all I saw was black. It took a moment for me to realize my backpack which I had been holding onto was floating in front of my face!
This really shows how genius Disney Imagineering is! I would love to see a video about how the block system works on Space Mountain, since it can handle so many trains in the mountain at once!
Cody Archer that's not Imagineering's fault. It's the construction crew's fault... The structure can't safely support the animatronic while it's moving because there's a structural flaw in the support trusses.
Just rode this about 2 weeks ago in Orlando. It was 100x better than I expected, (as was the case with most of Disney World). The car riding out of the elevator was such a surprise. I loved it. My 9 yr old daughter refused to consider a second go on the tower. (Hopefully she hasn’t been too traumatised). So glad I was able to experience it.
BasedBeard Jones While the ride IS interactive, the interactive elements are limited in order to specifically prevent a terrified child from “ruining” it. Plus, if the riders are less skilled, the ride actually becomes more thrilling, because you will be hit and jostled more often. So far, reviews have been overwhelmingly positive. That said, if you don’t like simulation rides (like star tours, soarin’ or flight of passage) you probably won’t enjoy it. That’s fine, Disney has plenty of other styles of rides for you. I haven’t had a chance to ride it myself, but I have ridden flight of passage (which was one of the most remarkable experiences of my life) and with a few more years of tech advancement under its belt, I am sure Disney will have provided an unparalleled experience. The other aspect that differentiates Disney rides from simple flight sims or rollercoasters is its theming. The pre show elements and story telling, as well as amazing immersive elements such as scent and temperature manipulation make most of Disney’s rides unforgettable, and other than Universal’s Harry Potter lands, unique in the world.
Hollywood, 1939. Amid the glitz and the glitter of a bustling young movie town at the height of its golden age, the Hollywood Tower Hotel was a star in its own right. A beacon for the show business elite. Now, something is about to happen that will change all that. The time is now, on an evening very much like the one we have just witnessed. Tonight's story on The Twilight Zone is somewhat unique and calls for a different kind of introduction. This, as you may recognize, is a maintenance service elevator, still in operation, waiting for you. We invite you, if you dare, to step aboard because in tonight's episode you are the star. And this elevator travels directly to...THE TWILIGHT ZONE
A warm welcome back to those of you who made it, and a friendly word of warning, something you won't find in any guidebook. The next time you check into a deserted hotel on the dark side of Hollywood, make sure you know just what kind of vacancy you're filling. Or you may find yourself a permanent resident... of the Twilight Zone. *dun dun*
It really is a short drop. You're only falling for a couple of seconds at a time, although the fact that it's accelerated on the way down too makes it pretty intense.
Or it's the other way around. The power of 2,000 duckpower (generated by horse-sized ducks) would equal 262,000 horsepower (generated by 262,000 duck-sized horses). Now that's something out of the Twilight Zone.
As a former Test Track cast member, I'm down to hear allllll about this. :P My wife is also a Test Track CM trainer, so I'm sure she'd love to hear that too.
These people are geniuses. I rode this ride at ten years old in 2001. I absolutely loved it. At one point, I couldn't tell if we were going up or down. I haven't been back to Disney World since, but I'd ride this again in a heartbeat if I ever go back. Thanks for putting this together. It's fascinating. I've always wondered how it worked! It's crazy the amount of work that went into making this ride.
I'm an Aussie. Disneyland has been my dream since I was a child. Day 3 of 4 we get to California Adventure and we were first in the line. When the lines opened we didn't know which way to go so we just decided to allow the crowds to push us. We thought "it is a Disney ride...no ride here can scare us"...we got on this ride first row with NO IDEA what was about to happen...then it started and I screamed every fucking profanity I knew at the top of my lungs. The photo is epic. Holy shit balls I'll never forget that day as long as I live. Morale of this story...never let people push u into anything.
haha, im aussie too, when i was 7 i went to disney in cali, my sister, cousin and i went on this ride together. im not kidding when i say im still terrified of elevators.
@@kendallp887 He was implying that a child spilled or dropped a juice box on the 5th floor and disrupted the AGV radio lines in the floor. It was a joke, and went over your head as you thought he meant the ride wait time.
Literally the ability to lift 330 lbs 100 feet in one minute, generally by use of a pulley system. This is an estimate, since the idea for it was observed by watching ponies pull 220 lbs by James Watt, and he reasoned that the capability of a full size horse was about 1.5 times that of a pony. 330 lbs is the force exerted continuously on average for one minute, equaling its mass times acceleration caused by gravity, multiplied by the 100 foot distance it travels gives you work. Since horsepower is work/time, completing this work in 1 minute gives you a measure of power consumed over the course of that 1 minute.
When I worked for Disney, my office was in a modular building just below the T of T. The screaming all day used to drive me insane. I eventually started working with headphones on all day till they moved us into the animation building.
Wow, you did an unbelievable job. I’ve talked to Imagineers before... and they couldn’t even explain how this ride worked as well as you did. We need more videos of you explaining how Disney’s ride systems work and with their safety features
It’s pretty safe yea but I work for an elevator company all those features are standard for pretty much every elevator now a days that’s not hydraulic.
I'm a total geek over stuff like this! Ive always wanted someone to cover every aspect of HTH and this video was perfect. Virtually every detail of the Tower was mentioned right down to the fiber optic stars and elevator back up systems. Great job!
The one in Tokyo is absolutely incredible! I've lived in California my whole life but have only gone on the Tokyo one. It was so amazing and honestly Tokyo Disney Sea was so much more fun than the California Disneyland I've gone to since childhood, buuut it could be that way because it was so new to me so it felt more magical!
That was a great visual and description of Pepper's Ghost. When many others use the same examples and diagrams, you made your own and killed it. Nice job and I would love to see more vids like this. +1 sub
As a person who does research to get rid of fear, this video is great! I grew up afraid of the infamous 13 stories drop but now I see it’s nothing but a 4-5 story drop with imaginering on its game. Fun fact! The sidewalk leading up to the ride is 2 degrees upward to give you a feeling of unbalance and uneasiness.
Wow I didn’t know the sidewalk was different too! Disney is so immersive lol. I hate/love this ride and rode it once in Orlando. I hate drops so never again.
Excellent video! As a massive Tower fan, researching and learning about this over the past 25 years that the original has been open is a difficult challenge. You got every detail perfectly right which is rare and much appreciated! Thanks for the wonderful video!
I got stuck on that ride a few weeks back just as we had loaded the elevator for the drop component. We were stuck for 10 minutes in the dark before someone finally talked to us. Then they turned on the lights for another 15. We were finally told, sorry you have to do the whole drop sequence with the lights on. I've never rushed off a ride so quickly.
Eek. That sounds so scary!! My ride broke down when I was on Space Mountain, and I thought for sure we were going to get rear ended by the car still going fast while we were sitting still. They had to turn the lights on and that was pretty cool.
@@kntfam263 ah you got to see the infamous "how tf haven't I been decapitated??" truth of the ride! I think that thing is way scarier with the lights on.
I’ve been on it, wasn’t too bad, but I strongly advise not having a three course lunch beforehand. Also, going on the rock’n’rollercoaster after is... let’s just say it was the tipping point for me.
This one was so freaking fun and this is coming from someone who is afraid of rollercoasters. I went to the Tower of Terror for the first time last year by myself, for my sister didn't want to go with me nor my parents. It isn't that bad!
Evan Huang Same my man, same. I was annoying my parents to let me go when I was like 8 or 9, and they finally gave in to my bother, so my dad and I went into the tower. And the ghost story was definitely traumatizing for me also, and then we went into the elevator. Yeah you know where I’m going next.
i used to live in orlando and i go to disney a lot. as a kid i had TERRIBLE ride anxiety, ( didn’t ride ToT until i was 11) and to this day i over think the way rides work and like to look around at what’s happening. this video is exactly what i need for each (thrill) ride so i have some peace of mind! lol
This video is the first I've seen from your channel. Not even halfway through it was enough for me to subscribe. Keep up the good work and great visuals.
This is one of those rides you tell your friends and family who have never been on it that it's just a simulator/ride-along like the movie and then they get dropped. Just like the Mummy ride in Universal Studios Orlando. What an absolute engineering and visual/audio marvel.
The one and only time I went on this ride I was horrified. Started out excited but by the time I heard the story I panicked. Keep in mind I was 8. I was flying, I mean FLYING. When you fall you are practically in the air. I screamed and swore to never go on the ride again.
@@rebeccacummings6697 it was too much for my age I think but I’m terrified of horror stories and the story was too scary for myself. I also like more so slants like on coasters, idk of that even makes sense
Such a great video! Disney is what first got me interesting in engineering, and Tower of Terror has always been my favorite Disney attraction! This was such a perfect video!!
This is one of the best TH-cam videos about Disney, Disney World, or a Disney attraction that I've ever seen, ... and I've seen more than I could possibly count. Learning about Disney's Hollywood Studios TOT, which is my and my family's favorite attraction, and see 'How it Works' was absolutely awesome. The amount of research and level of effort it took to create this video for fans like us to enjoy and learn from, is obvious and amazing! I thoroughly appreciate the video as a lifelong, in-deep Disney fan, as a operations planner, project and program manager for 25 years, and as an amateur artist. Thanks very much!!
KidSnivy96 I agree ! I like the fact that each park has a different feel. Talking nostalgic, I remember the days where you had to go to every shop in the park to buy items. Now, the emporium has most of the items. No need to look into other shops. Imagine if all the parks were to become the same. No desire to visit any other location.Very bad idea! I have been going to Disneyland since December 1955, so I’ve seen ALOT of changes, mostly great improvements.
Theyre gonna have to eventually. The contract to be able to base a ride off the Twilight Zone will soon expire. The Guardians version was made early to see how it would work out, and people like it. The original was very dear to my heart, but the new version is amazing and super fun.
I went to Disneyland for the guardians of the galaxy themed ride and it was very thrilling and the riders around me loved it too. I love the twilight zone themed ride (after all Orlando is the closest park) but If there is a need to get rid of the twilight zone, I trust that Disney will do a good job to replace it in justice.
The issue comes with the fact that if they replace tower of terror to a different theme, they have to redo the entirety of sunset Blvd as tower of terror is essentially the main part of the land.
@@indigofrost4782 They're doing exactly that in California. The ToT used to be the main attraction of Hollywood Land within DCA, but now it's going to become part of Marvel Land, which is being built adjacent to the tower.
supersuato123 Disneyland is our “home park”, but there a ton of reason to visit WDW for great rides where there’s no counterpart at Disneyland; in addition to the vastly superior Tower of Terror, you’ve got Seven Dwarves Mine Train, Toy Story Land, Mission Space, Frozen Ever After, Expedition Everest, Flight of Passage and Navii River Journey. Plus, there’s a bunch of new rides on the way; Guardians coaster, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Ratatouille and the Tron Coaster, so you might want to plan a trip around when some of those will be open.
this was genuinely such a fascinating watch- when i first went to disneyworld i had such a fascination with the engineering on the rides, and though ive always been too much of a coward for tower of terror, its always been a really interesting ride to me
My dads friend was an imagineer, I remember him telling me how this worked probably back in 2017, after my first time going to Disney Land/California Adventure. He even showed me pictures of him down underneath where all the stuff that works the ride is. Very cool! That ride still scared the crap out of me 😂
Screw Disney for re-themeing the one at California Adventure. It seems slide every ride has to be themed around Marvel or Pixar, I want to see original themes like Pirates of the Caribbean, the Haunted Mansion, Matterhorn, etc.
I simultaneously agree and disagree. Original themes are amazing, which is why I'm furious at how they ruined the tower. But, an IP can work if done correctly. The reason I hate Mission Breakout, but am hyped for Cosmic Rewind,is because the latter isn't constrained to a show building that it just doesn't mix well with. It's exactly why Rocket Rods was such a failure, the track was never meant for high speed vehicles, and it caused irreparable damage. For years, I've been saying that if they absolutely needed to eliminate the Twilight Zone theme, they could just convert it into the Hotel Hightower. Although, looking super closely at it now, the Hotel Hightower's structure is not an exact replica of the California and Paris version, but a mirror image of it instead, which could make things very difficult. Instead, we got a beautiful building turned into an optical abomination, a story that leaves me scratching my head in confusion, a complete lack of atmosphere, no practical effects on the ride itself whatsoever, and the thrill itself has been significantly reduced to the point where it's barely noticeable.
Disneyland has all those rides, and there's no plans to change them. Star Wars land was a completely new construction and didn't replace any original rides. Disney recognized that they missed a big opportunity by making DCA California themed and is now turning DCA into their IP park. It's smart, and a lot more people can relate to and recognize attractions that are themed after global intellectual property rather than things specifically themed around California.
The first time I went on the ride in Orlando they still had a system where one lap belt went across three people, and I (12yo) got sandwiched between two... larger individuals. I was nervous the whole way through, and as we passed through the 5th dimension, and I could feel the radiant heat of the hot Florida sun in the main shaft, I held on for dear life. Then we dropped and I floated a good two-three inches off of the seat. It was the most horrifying experience I had had up to that point. I have gone on that ride like six more times since then, and it is just as frightening everytime and I love it.
Exact same situation with us when I was like 10. Fat ass on the end caused a 6 inch gap between lap and bar. Literally sank into the seat and had to hold myself in.
Incredible video! I can't imagine how much time it took to put together those animations, but they really aided the explanation! Personally, I love a lot of the attractions in Shanghai and Hong Kong Disneyland, such as Pirates of the Caribbean Battle for the Sunken Treasure and Mystic Manor. Would absolutely love to see a video done on either of them. Fantastic work!
Hello from Tokyo! The mechanism of ToT is sooo AMAZING! I always watch this "How It Works" every time after I enjoy the ride at Tokyo Disney Sea, Thank you for the great job!
I don't like mission breakout, I liked Tower of Terror was a lot better EDIT: I know i can ride it in Orlando but that's across the country for me and I just don't have that kind of money I do enjoy Mission Breakout I'm just saying that I think ToT had a certain feel that just can't be replaced but then again I've always been one for thrills and enjoy scary movies/shows so that's just me
Agreed. Disney seems to be moving more and more toward appealing to younger audiences, making it align less with Walt Disney's original vision for a "park for everyone". I understand that advertising their films is important, but so many of the rides and attractions they change had irreplaceable character...
We agree. Mission Breakout never stops moving. That seems to trigger some level of motion sickness in many people, including the two of us. Tower of Terror came to a complete stop a few times during the drop sequence and show scenes. That does a lot for minimizing motion sickness.
Pleeeaaaassseee do Expedition Everest in Walt Disney World! It has such a mysterious dark section as well as track changes! Thanks! Amazing video, so glad I found your channel!
This made me cry. Disney Engineering makes me so emotional. I have things in my head that I would LIKE to show everyone, but the fact that people had these fantastic ideas and entire worlds in their heads and put this much time and effort into letting us experience their world... it's breath taking. And not only that, but now it's creating memories for thousands of people that they'll remember for a lifetime. It's almost unreal.
Watching that ride intro made my stomach turn again. I have gone on that ride only once and that is enough for me. I felt sick the rest of the day after riding it.
The gift shop is the bottom and everything else is above. The queue takes you up to the 2nd level. And at the end after you leave the gift shop you are actually walking up a slope that will take you to the normal floor. If that makes sense?
Great description of my favorite WDW attraction! I rode it the year it opened in 1994 and it’s been my favorite ever since. It’s truly a feat of engineering for theme park attractions and is among the most immersive experiences in the world.
I remember going on this ride, it was so fun it feels like your floating when your dropping and it’s just such a great drop if you like thriller rides if you don’t, I don’t recommend this ride but if you do like thriller rides then I recommend this ride, out of everything this ride is amazing.

And from then on, I never go on a ride before I understand what kind of a ride it is.
sound fun haha 😆
lol thanks for sharing, bro. That's a good one
Imagine somebody else can speak Korean on the ride, and they hear your family being liberated then all the sudden they hear you say that and hear your family just die lmao
Me and my mom went to the Orlando ride EXACTLY like you said ! With no knowlegde at all of the ride ! My mom was 76 by then. We got through.

When I first went on this thing my parents told me it was "Just an elevator" I foolishly believed them.
Technically, it is just an elevator... that's designed to fall and an added on show.
My mum said the same to me to trick me into going on it in ‘97 she also said the jaws ride was “just a boat ride” I screamed the entire way 😂😂
Chelsea-Rose Williams my mom told me jurrasic park was just a dinosaur tour when I was little... boy did I yell.. and almost fall off

I had a full on panic attack and thought I was going to fly out of my seat on this ride.

The ride is so unique and fun!
This is so cool but how do you find information about this? And I’m also curious how the ride system for the Millennium Falcon ride works.
Meh to
They have their attributions in the description.
BasedBeard Jones it is not stationary. The ride moves reactively. I’m sure the tech is basically a super advanced version of star tours.
BasedBeard Jones It doesn’t matter if a kid or whoever hits the right buttons, you’re still going to enjoy the ride.
*cue creepy music*
A warm welcome back to those of you who made it, and a friendly word of warning, something you won't find in any guidebook. 8:30 thank you for converting horsepower to duckpower, I genuinely have no clue what horsepower is
The power of 1 horse
@@mikedugan671 Common misconception. Horses can provide up to 14 horse power.

@The Reverend Jim Jones I'm 25 asshole
I swear to god if they lay a hand on the HTH in orlando I'm gonna go ape on the management
The issue comes with the fact that if they replace tower of terror to a different theme, they have to redo the entirety of sunset Blvd as tower of terror is essentially the main part of the land.
i dont think they would dare do that.
@@indigofrost4782 They're doing exactly that in California. The ToT used to be the main attraction of Hollywood Land within DCA, but now it's going to become part of Marvel Land, which is being built adjacent to the tower.

Dude it’s so amazing how you put all this effort in your videos and it shows. The blueprint sequences were excellent man. Keep it up.
Tower of Terror was Twilight Zone themed. However it was very original
It also seems that Disneyland is becoming Star Wars land.
I heard the license expired and Disney didnt want to renew. So they revamped it to be a Guardian of Galaxy theme.
This is an incredibly impressive and well-put together video. Good work.
When I went on the tower of terror, we fell so fast that my bag was starting to float lmao

Agreed. Disney seems to be moving more and more toward appealing to younger audiences, making it align less with Walt Disney's original vision for a "park for everyone". I understand that advertising their films is important, but so many of the rides and attractions they change had irreplaceable character...
Jenna Marmalade i like the music and the upbeat vibe of breakout
I hope they keep the original Tower of Terror in Orlando, as it is my favorite. Also, it is one of the most successful rides.
Yeah but not any more now its mission breakout in california
We agree. Mission Breakout never stops moving. That seems to trigger some level of motion sickness in many people, including the two of us. Tower of Terror came to a complete stop a few times during the drop sequence and show scenes. That does a lot for minimizing motion sickness.
I still remember the time when my friend and I went on Tower of Terror like 10 times in a row.
It was so much fun!
HeyJoeHaze that’s on my bucket list now!!
This video is SOOO GOOD Disney Riped it off🤣
sticking to the theme of disney thrill rides, you should do one on the aerosmith rock n rollercoaster next!! 🎸 🎢
oreounicornz yesss
oreounicornz it’s gone now :( really broke my heart.
Ninestones_ _ just the one in Paris, right? looks like the one in Orlando is still going strong!
oreounicornz ah yeahh only the one in paris 😢no fair!
Ninestones_ _ no it’s not
Pleeeaaaassseee do Expedition Everest in Walt Disney World!
I cried when I saw how they made Mickey shapes pancakes
True. They did a great job on this ride
It’s a fucking tower lol
But in all honesty I agree, it’s amazing
@@VentureCAM Yo I wrote this when I was stoned AF and totally forgot about it - this made me laugh so hard XD
But it really IS amazing!
Great Words
Watching that ride intro made my stomach turn again. I have gone on that ride only once and that is enough for me. I felt sick the rest of the day after riding it.
It confused me so much how when the ride ends you end back up on the normal floor going into the gift shop when you were just below the ground
I know that is literally every ride in Hollywood studios
The gift shop is the bottom and everything else is above. The queue takes you up to the 2nd level. And at the end after you leave the gift shop you are actually walking up a slope that will take you to the normal floor.
If that makes sense?
Ethan Breen ya it does thanks it always confused me
Friend:So how does tower of terror work?
Me:Do you have 18 minutes?
edit: thanks for the likes
Does that mean you're going to advertise NordVPN in the middle of your explanation?
@@TheEric1203 yes XD
Wait is this a jacksepticeye reference
@@ejw2354 ...maybe
@@ejw2354 it definitely is
Wow, just wow, this was definitely ahead of it's time when it opened. Great video man, keep up the good work!
Honestly one of the most immersive rides in all of WDW. Really feels like you've entered the Twilight Zone.
I'm glad to see you've done your Duckpower (Dp) conversions.

Great description of my favorite WDW attraction! I rode it the year it opened in 1994 and it’s been my favorite ever since. It’s truly a feat of engineering for theme park attractions and is among the most immersive experiences in the world.
*TOT is probably one of the greatest rides of all time!!!* 🐐
I remember going on this ride, it was so fun it feels like your floating when your dropping and it’s just such a great drop if you like thriller rides if you don’t, I don’t recommend this ride but if you do like thriller rides then I recommend this ride, out of everything this ride is amazing.
