We went to the Disneyland After Dark event Throwback Nite which turns Disneyland back to what it was in the 1950’s and 1960's. We’ll try some of the exclusive event only food, see some of the meet and greets with characters that haven’t been seen in the park in many years, including characters from Fantasia, the People Mover, Carousel of Progress, Pinocchio, Dumbo and more! We’ll catch the Fantasy in the Sky fireworks show which ran in the park from the 1950’s. And we’ll meet up with our friends and have some fun! Come with us on this adventure!

I met you at this event and it was the highlight for me! I was complaining and Kitra was so nice and talked to me and it really turned it around for me! She’s such a nice person, just like I expected! ❤

I'm so bummed I couldn't just pop over to Disneyland for this. It looks so fun- especially for Disneyland history buffs. I cannot believe they brought back the space couple! And every time I watch you guys just running around giddy like big kids, I wish that I could hang out at the parks with you!

I like how back in the day, Disney would re-release Fantasia in the theaters and have the theaters re-tool their sound so you get the full experience. I was lucky enough to see Fantasia in the theater when I was younger. I wish they would do that again and show it at the El Capitan Theater. Sorry, the Ostrich and the Hippo reminded me of a very fond moment in my life. 😀
I hope they rerelease it for the 90th anniversary in a few years
I got to see it about 10 years ago at the Cinadome with the concaved screen. It was huge, up in the air and with surround sound. It was a special evening.
I never thought I’d see Dumbo again, I was told his eyes scare children! 😄

They had a show on the Disney channel years ago called Dumbo’s Circus and I think that Dumbo was part of the lineup. Or it’s very close to it. So adorable! What a fabulous photo op. Hopefully they do more throwbacks from each decade. I know they’ve done 80s and 90s but they could incorporate the nostalgia better than they did. Just my humble opinion. Appreciate you guys!
I loved that show when I was little! This one is similar, but not exactly the same. The one on the show had smaller eyes and also a real puppet head with an articulated mouth and trunk.
@@AngiBelle1 I never had the Disney channel growing up so when the occasional “free” week would come around I’d mysteriously end up with a juvenile sickness to stay home and binge. Lol. The Winnie the Pooh one was awesome, too. Disney Channel was “too expensive” back then. Imagine that?? 🤣
@@Ktjeeper79 I actually didn't either! But once a season, they would offer 4 days of a sneak preview. I would watch as much as I could while it was on. And sometimes, I'd watch with the screen scrambled and just listen.

That was so COOL I wish they did this everyday all the time the 50's & 60s are my favorite time era and I think it's just such a fun concept to experience what the park would have been like back then when it first opened

Great video, throwback night looks like it was a really cool event. That sandwich from the Jolly Hoilday looked really good. I finally tried the grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup from Jolly Hoilday last week, when I on vacation at Disneyland it was sooo good. Jolly Hoilday is one of my new favorite places to eat in the park.

San Francisco and Northern California is on our list of places to go and do videos about in the future. I think after June we’ll have more time to travel

Disneylands events are more of getting local passholders to come back and spend more money and I think Walt Disney world is more geared towards tourists who just want shorter lines for rides?

I can still remember the ticket book system and losing the ticket I needed for the skytram ride while we were in line. A kind man had an extra and gave me his. I feel like the park will be headed in that direction again with tiered structures for certain rides.
